(Male Lead: The Beauty, the Strong, and the Tragic; 'Latecomer' and the Strongest Blood Bag VS The Money-loving Little Fox Princess.) The Little Fox Princess was kicked out of her home and ...
She then remembered that Chu Juan hadn't left with them.
The person in the back is too weak to drive.
"Sorry, sorry..." She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, got out of the passenger seat, opened the car door, walked across the front of the car to the other side, rebuckled her seatbelt, and took off her hat and sunglasses, instantly opening up her field of vision.
The car slowly drove away from the parking space and into the lane. Lu Yunzhou, who had just come out of the convenience store, was right up to half of the driver's side.
But the car had already driven away. He was only stunned for a few seconds before his eyes returned to normal.
What had just happened convinced him that it wasn't his Xixi, so when he saw the strikingly similar half-face, he didn't take it to heart and went back to the hospital with a bottle of water.
Su Yuxi brought Fu Huaijin back to Chu Juan's residence. The moment she opened the door, the first thing that caught her eye was a pile of brightly colored clothes, shoes and bags.
These things shimmered with an alluring golden light in her eyes, as if telling her that we are all money, and can be sold for lots and lots of money.
However, a clear voice behind her ruthlessly shattered her illusions: "These are all small workshops offering custom-made items; they're not big brands, so they won't fetch a high price."
Small workshops are handcrafted goods hidden behind the glitz and glamour. To put it bluntly, they are private custom-made for the wealthy. They pursue the comfort of materials and do not care about celebrities or brands. They are not interested in vanity and therefore are not as valuable as those big brands.
Su Yuxi felt as if her thoughts had been exposed, and she chuckled awkwardly twice. When she turned her head, her expression instantly fell. Although personalized customization was valuable, it was far inferior to big brands.
"I never said I was selling it. I think this dress is quite pretty, why would I sell it?"
She walked up to the pile of clothes, and in a corner where the man couldn't see her, she started chattering away, saying something unintelligible.
She thought no one could see it, but in reality, her facial expressions and lip movements were all reflected in the mirror next to her.
Since she couldn't sell them for money, and she wasn't greedy, she only picked out a few styles that she liked, and had the rest sent back.
After cleaning the living room, she picked up the clothes she had carefully chosen and prepared to go upstairs.
Just as she was about to step onto the stairs, she finally remembered that there was someone in the living room. She glanced back and saw the man sitting quietly on the sofa, showing no intention of leaving.
She wasn't the owner of this place, nor did she have the right to ask when people were leaving. She just glanced at them and then turned and walked straight upstairs.
Back in her bedroom, she first filled a tub with water, preparing to take a nice hot bath and wash away the unpleasant disinfectant smell from her body.
She hung all her clothes in the closet, picked out a red lace nightgown, and went into the bathroom.
Just as she opened the bathroom door, she suddenly remembered the blunder that happened earlier that day, and quickly turned back to lock the door behind her.
As the lock clicked shut, a relieved smile appeared on her face. She wiggled her chubby little bottom and hummed a tune as she entered the bathroom.
Lock the door, and surely no one will come into her room again.
As it turned out, she had anticipated this. Not long after she went in, someone tried to turn the doorknob from the outside. The person outside probably knew she had locked the door from the inside, and when they couldn't turn it, they gave up and left.
By the time Su Yuxi finished showering, it was already 5:30 in the afternoon.
The moment she opened the door, the hot air inside billowed out. Perhaps because she had just taken a hot bath, her head was still spinning, and she didn't notice that there was someone standing in front of her. As a result, she had only taken two steps when her forehead bumped into something hard.
A sense of foreboding suddenly rose in her heart. She paused in wiping her hair, abruptly raised her head, and stared wide-eyed at Fu Huaijin, who had inexplicably appeared at the door.
Su Yuxi shook the towel in her hand vigorously, amused by the man's behavior: "You, you, you... I say, Young Master Fu, do you have a fetish for watching people shower at the door?"
He didn't notice the first time, but the second time she locked the door, he still managed to get in.
What is this man trying to do?
Fu Huaijin stared at her wet eyes, his gaze unconsciously drifting to her face and then slowly settling on her exposed collarbone.
She was wearing a cool and sexy silk slip dress, the thin collar bouncing with her heaving chest, the hidden allure of her body swaying eagerly.
His eyes darkened slightly. He took two steps back, creating some distance to show her sufficient respect, before slowly saying, "It's almost six o'clock."
Su Yuxi paused for a moment: "What's wrong with it being almost six o'clock?"
Fu Huaijin remained calm and composed: "It's time to eat."
"I came up to call you because I saw you hadn't come down yet."
Su Yuxi tilted her head, looking at him with a hint of suspicion. How could she not believe that he would try to pick her lock just to get a bite to eat?
"I'm not eating anymore. I need to go to sleep soon. I'll eat after I wake up."
"No, eat first and then sleep." Fu Huaijin stared at her with sharp eyes. Although his words were not threatening, his powerful and imposing aura left no room for argument.
Su Yuxi sometimes really couldn't understand this man. He cared about everything else, including himself, but he didn't care whether others ate or not.
He actually threatened others to go out to eat.
She didn't want to go down, but when she met his deep and persistent eyes, she finally sighed and gave in: "Okay, okay, let's eat."
"You go down first, I'll change my clothes."
"Hmm." Fu Huaijin responded and turned to walk out the door. The door was not closed tightly, and you could see his tall figure standing with his back to the door, determined to wait until she left.
She clicked her tongue inwardly, reluctantly turned around, went to the closet to get a set of clothes, and went to the bathroom to change.
After he finished changing, Fu Huaijin was still standing at the door waiting. His stubbornness was truly incomprehensible.
"Let's go."
Su Yuxi walked ahead first, followed slowly by Fu Huaijin.
The table was already laden with delicious food, and as soon as she sat down, her eyes were fixed on her chicken leg.
Fu Huaijin followed suit and sat down, picking up the knife and fork beside him to eat.
The two ate their food quietly, and she was completely immersed in the satisfaction that the food brought her.
When she was half full, she heard the clanging of an antique clock.
Su Yuxi was startled by the sudden sound. Just as she was about to complain to the man next to her, she turned her head and saw that the man had his head down, his hands gripping the knife and fork tightly, the veins on his arms bulging, and he was breathing heavily, as if he was trying his best to endure something.
Su Yuxi swallowed the food in her mouth, put down the spoon in her hand, moved closer to him, and cautiously asked, "Are you alright?"
The man didn't respond, but he gripped the spoon tighter and breathed more heavily.
Fearing something might happen to him, she slowly stood up and walked to his side, cautiously reaching out a hand to poke his shoulder.
"Fu Huaijin?"
