After her biological father achieved great merit, he changed his heart and decided to abandon her and her mother. He said, "I am the ever-victorious Marquis of Anping. You and your mother shoul...
Chapter 36 The Scumbag Dad is Here
Su Dai took the egg and ate it while going to the doghouse to check on the puppies.
The big dog is nursing the puppies again.
Looking at the well-behaved dogs, Su Dai said earnestly, "I've been treating Bai Diandian very well. I showed it my ant friends and even gave it chicken soup. Bai Diandian was very happy."
"Waaah, thank you."
The big dog whimpered.
Su Dai's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at the big dog. She reached out her little hand and dug into her ear. Could there be poop in her ear? She thought she had just heard something talking.
Su Dai looked around, then at the big dog, and whispered, "Big dog, can you talk? Don't be afraid, I promise I won't tell anyone you can talk!"
The big dog looked at Su Dai blankly. It wagged its tail, licked the white-spotted head, and held the puppy in its arms, looking at Su Dai innocently.
"Say it again, I'm a man of my word, I would never tell anyone."
Su Dai clasped his hands together, his eyes shining brightly.
"Waaah..." Thank you, kind family.
The big dog made a whimpering sound, but to Su Dai's ears, it sounded like, "Thank you, kind family."
Su Dai was so surprised that he dropped his eggs on the ground.
She lowered her voice and asked softly, "Big dog, are you also a deity? Are you from the realm of gods? Why are you a dog and I am a human?"
Su Dai asked a series of questions.
The big dog looked confused and whimpered, "I'm a dog, not a god. I'm my owner's most loyal dog, and my children are even more obedient than me."
The big dog wagged its tail at Su Dai and stared longingly at the eggs.
"Ooh-" Little master, can I eat this?
The eggs fell to the ground, but Su Dai didn't say anything, so it didn't dare to eat them. It was the most obedient dog; it wouldn't eat unless its owner told it to.
Su Dai was somewhat disappointed; it turned out he wasn't from the realm of gods after all.
Seeing that the eggs had all fallen to the ground and only one bite remained, Su Dai said, "You can have the eggs, I won't eat them."
The big dog whimpered "thank you," then poked its head out and took the egg to its nest. It only licked the crumbs before letting the puppy, Baidiandian, eat them.
Su Dai had already gotten up and run to the kitchen, excitedly telling Qin Shi, "Mother, I can understand what animals are saying now! Just now, the little white-spotted mother said thank you to me."
Su Dai, who had promised not to tell anyone, turned around and told her mother.
Zhao was also among those who heard it.
In Su Dai's heart, they were not outsiders.
Zhao was surprised, and Qin was even more surprised.
Su Dai's eyes were bright, and when Qin touched her forehead, she did not have a fever.
How could they possibly understand animal speech?
"Mother, it's true."
It's like Su Dai presenting a treasure.
Qin Shi snapped out of her daze and said seriously, "My dear child, I believe you, but you absolutely mustn't tell anyone, okay?"
Her daughter is incredibly powerful, which can be frightening, and she's also afraid that this might be detrimental to her daughter.
Su Dai nodded: "Mother, don't worry, I won't tell any outsiders. I'll only tell those who are good to me."
“Su Bao, you’re still young. Sometimes people’s kindness to you isn’t genuine. So you can’t tell anyone, understand? From now on, you can tell your mother, but you can’t tell us, understand?”
Zhao squatted down and gave her earnest instructions.
Zhao looked at Qin and said solemnly, "Little sister, don't worry, I will never tell anyone. I will take this secret to my grave. If I can't do it, may I be struck by lightning and die a horrible death."
Zhao swore so quickly that Qin didn't have time to stop her.
Qin quickly said, "Sister-in-law, don't say such things. I believe you."
Su Dai found it very interesting and dragged Qin Shi along to see what the pigs, chickens, and ducks were saying.
Qin and Zhao were somewhat helpless, but also curious about what these animals could say.
The pig grunted and snorted.
Su Dai said with disdain, "It says eat, eat; sleep, sleep..."
Knowing that pigs have no intelligence, Qin and Zhao were relieved. After all, these were pigs for the New Year; if they had intelligence, they wouldn't dare to kill and eat them.
"There's food! There's food!"
That's all the chickens and ducks can say.
The Qin and Zhao families were completely relieved.
Su Dai was initially intrigued, but after discovering that animals weren't very intelligent, she gradually lost interest.
The ant colony she often observed, on the other hand, couldn't speak at all.
In the afternoon, Wang Cui came to visit Su Dai.
Qin gave Su Dai some peanuts from the kitchen so she could take them with her.
Su Dai glanced at Bai Dian Dian, who was fast asleep in the doghouse, and ran off to play with her new friend without looking back.
"Su Bao, do you know what wild berries are?"
Wang Cui asked Su Dai.
Su Dai shook her head; she hadn't left the house yet.
"Then I'll take you to find some wild berries by the roadside to eat."
Wang Cui laughed and brought Su Dai out to meet up with a few friends. They walked along the road and soon climbed the slope to search near the mountain wall.
It was a thorny plant that grew close to the ground, but it produced purple and red fruits.
Wang Cui smiled and picked one for Su Dai to eat.
Su Dai took a bite; it was sour with a hint of sweetness. She smiled and said, "Delicious, thank you, Sister Xiao Cui."
Su Dai was especially happy sitting in the shade, looking at the dense forest.
The sound of horses' hooves came from afar, and everyone stood up curiously to look over.
Su Dai also craned her neck to look, but when she saw the person on horseback, she immediately became unhappy and climbed down the hillside to go home.
"Su Bao, where are you going!"
Wang Cui was confused and worried as she watched Su Dai running around.
"Sister Xiaocui, bad guys are coming, I want to go home."
Su Dai wanted to go home quickly; she hated her scumbag father.
"Su Dai, you stop right there!"
Su Chang'an saw Su Dai from afar. He just frowned, but Su Dai seemed not to recognize him and tried to run away when he saw him. Su Chang'an immediately got angry and roared.
Su Dai ignored him and ran off.
But a person can't outrun a horse. Su Chang'an simply patted the horse's rump and caught up with Su Dai, then grabbed her and put her on the horse's back.
Su Dai struggled, her face flushed, but Su Chang'an pressed down on her back with a cold expression: "Su Dai, who told you to be so rude? You don't even greet your father when you see him?"
It must have been the Qin family who taught him to make Su Dai think he was bad and never acknowledge him again.
Su Dai ignored him, feeling a bit short of breath from being held down, and the horse's back was pressing against her stomach, making her very uncomfortable.
"Let go of Su Bao right now! Who are you?!"
Wang Cui and her children also ran down, frantically surrounding the horse and speaking in fear.
Seeing that Su Dai's face was turning red, Wang Cui became anxious: "Quickly put Su Bao down, Su Bao is uncomfortable!"
"Get out of the way, I am Su Dai's father."
These rude wild kids dared to talk back to him and even block his way!
Wang Cui and the others were startled and ran back to the village.
They started shouting, "Dad, Uncle, someone has kidnapped Su Bao!"
Upon hearing the noise, the people building houses rushed towards the intersection.
Qin Yulin was the first to react. When he ran over and saw Su Chang'an riding on horseback with a cold expression, and saw Su Dai lying on the horse's back being held down by Su Chang'an, Qin Yulin was immediately furious.
