The woman lifted her foot again and walked towards Lu Zhiyan.

Lu Zhiyan, since you are so wary of Lu Zhiyan, then I will make sure you get nothing in the end!

When Su Ping opened her eyes, she found herself already lying in bed.

She glanced at the room's layout and found it somewhat familiar.

She fainted again last night. Did Shen Jiayu bring her to the Shen family?

As if sensing something, the door was pushed open from the outside, and Shen Jiayu, dressed in his home clothes, walked in.

He looked like he had just taken a shower; his hair was still wet, and he was drying it with a towel.

Upon seeing her, Shen Jiayu paused in wiping his hair, then smiled and walked towards her.

"Are you alright? I waited for you for a long time last night but you didn't come back. Then I found you collapsed in the bathroom corridor."

Su Ping didn't speak. She thought of the man from last night. Was it because of him that he fainted?

The time I fainted before, it was also because I saw that face in the jewelry store.

Seeing that her expression was a little pale, Shen Jiayu quickly explained, "Yesterday, I was worried that your father wouldn't feel at ease if I sent you home directly, so I took it upon myself to bring you home first. You won't blame me, will you?"

That familiar tone...

Su Ping looked at Shen Jiayu, who was sitting on the edge of the bed with a sincere expression. Did he want to hear what she had to say?

“I called the doctor over last night to check me out. He said there was nothing seriously wrong, I was just too tired and hadn’t rested well.”

Are you tired?

Su Ping felt that the reason was not that, so she lowered her eyes and remained silent.

"Don't worry, I didn't sleep here last night. I came over because I thought you should be awake by now."

After Shen Jiayu finished speaking, he observed the expression on her face and found that she still looked preoccupied.

Just then, a small figure walked in from outside the door.

Shen Silan looked at Shen Jiayu with reluctance and asked, "Uncle, how many days are you going back?"

Shen Jiayu's smile faded slightly as he continued drying his hair, replying, "I'm not sure, but I estimate it will take about a week."

The old man threatened suicide to force him to go back for blind dates, so there were some things he had to explain to him personally.

Otherwise, they really wouldn't know who it was that brought the Shen family to its current status.

Sitting in a high position for too long makes you forget where it all came from.

Shen Silan counted on her fingers, suppressing her overwhelming joy, and blinked at Su Ping on the bed beside her, asking, "Is Auntie going back with us too?"

Su Ping remembered what she had promised Shen Jiayu, looked at him, and found that he was looking at her as well.

Shen Jiayu nodded, a somewhat apologetic smile on his face.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't expect their plans to be brought forward, so I have to go back this time."

"When are we leaving?"

Having been mentally prepared, Su Ping wasn't too surprised and casually asked a question in return.

Unexpectedly, Shen Jiayu glanced at his watch and said, "Right now, let's finish breakfast and drive back."

"I've already had your suitcase prepared and put in the car. You can come down and have breakfast after you've washed up."

After saying that, he walked straight out of the room without waiting for her reaction.

Suddenly, only Su Ping and Shen Silan remained in the room, staring at each other in bewilderment.

After seeing Shen Jiayu leave the room, Shen Silan couldn't stop smiling.

After his uncle went back, he had a good excuse to ask Grandpa Wu to take him to Xiaomei's house to play.

Just as he was counting on his fingers how many days he could stay at Xiaomei's house, he suddenly remembered something rather serious.

When he turned his head, he indeed met Su Ping's eyes on the bed.

Seeing the smile in her eyes, an alarm bell rang in his mind, and he quickly ran to the bedside.

"Aunt, believe me, I really want to go with you."

"But I have to go to school, and I can't let this kind of thing interfere with my studies."

Shen Silan took Su Ping's hand, her expression sincere. If she hadn't seen the smile on his face, she would have believed it.

Seeing that she couldn't fool her, Chen Silan frowned and changed her strategy.

Su Ping was dumbfounded when she heard him burst into tears.

Are kids these days so emotionally expressive? They cry one minute and laugh the next.

After crying for a while, Shen Silan realized that Su Ping was not comforting him, so he cried even more sadly.

He held Su Ping's hand, crying uncontrollably.

"Auntie, please don't tell Uncle, okay?"

"I really like Xiaomei. Doesn't Auntie like any boys?"

If his uncle knew that he was hoping he would leave so he could go to Xiaomei's house, he probably wouldn't let him go.

Su Ping was getting a headache from his noise, so she reached out and covered his mouth.

"Alright, alright, you can go now. I won't tell him."

Hearing her promise, Chen Silan chuckled, climbed onto the bed, hugged her neck, and kissed her cheek.

"Thank you, Auntie! I knew you were the best to me!"

After kissing her, he wiped the saliva off his mouth, leaving Su Ping sitting on the bed looking completely bewildered, and then quickly got off the bed and disappeared.

He had to hurry back to his room to pack his small suitcase. As soon as his uncle's car left, he would ask Grandpa Wu to take him to Xiaomei's house!

When Su Ping finished washing up and came downstairs, she found that Shen Jiayu was already sitting at the dining table eating.

When Uncle Wu saw her, a smile immediately appeared on his face, and he waved to her: "Pingping, come over here."
