Chapter 124 A Trap for His Brother

Murong Xiao woke up early.

He turned to look at the sleeping Xiang Jin and gently kissed her forehead.

That kiss caused a reaction to occur somewhere on my body.

He sighed, turned and went to the bathroom, where he took a cold shower.

This was his second cold shower.

He experienced firsthand the pain of not being able to eat meat.

After getting dressed, he went straight downstairs and into the kitchen to make vegetable porridge.

After finishing, I went upstairs to change my clothes. Xiang Jin was already awake.

She yawned, stretched, and stared intently at Murong Xiao's back.

"Does your stomach still hurt?" he asked her, looking at himself in the mirror and straightening his tie.

Xiang Jin touched her stomach and shook her head: "It doesn't hurt anymore."

"very good."

A smirk appeared on someone's lips.

Xiang Jin blinked, rested her chin on her hand, and looked at him thoughtfully.

"What?" He turned back to the side, bent down and got close to those dark fox eyes.

"It's nothing." Xiang Jin quickly turned away and got out of bed.

She was just thinking, he's been with Miss Fang these past few days, hasn't Miss Fang satisfied him? Even last night, while she was asleep, she could feel the tension rising in her waist...

That's absolutely inhuman, tsk tsk.

After washing up, Xiang Jin went downstairs for dinner and enjoyed a long-awaited bowl of vegetable porridge.

She silently picked up the spoon, took a sip, turned to look at Murong Xiao, and smiled faintly.

Zhouzhou said that he was the one who made the porridge before, and she couldn't believe it. Now that he's back, the porridge tastes like it's back too...

Perhaps, he really wants to settle down with me and nurture our relationship...

"What's wrong? Doesn't it taste good?" Murong Xiao asked, noticing that she was staring at him.

Xiang Jin shook his head and buried his head in his drink.

"Madam, eat slowly, don't choke." Aunt Yang brought up a bowl of dark, murky chicken soup.

Xiang Jin jumped back three zhang away, looking terrified, and said, "Why, why do we have to drink this in the morning?!"

"Two bowls per meal, don't you remember?" Murong Xiao cooled the soup for her.

"Weren't we supposed to have two bowls a day? When did the price increase?!"

"Who told you it's every day? Come here!"

He gave the order in a cold voice.

Xiang Jin shook his head vigorously, refusing to drink no matter what. He grabbed his bag from the sofa and rushed out, saying, "I'm going to work!"

She hurriedly got into the car and urged Xiao Liu to drive.

Xiao Liu thought she was in a hurry, so he revved the engine like crazy, running two red lights.

I finally breathed a sigh of relief when I arrived at the company.

I arrived too early; the office was empty.

Xiang Jin simply started tidying up some miscellaneous tasks.

Half an hour later—

"Come down, I'm downstairs." It was Murong Xiao's voice that brooked no refusal.

Xiang Jin was in despair: "...You didn't come here to deliver soup, did you?"

What do you think?

Xiang Jin felt even more desperate.

"Can I go back and drink tonight? I have to go to work soon, I have a ton of work to do, I don't have time to go downstairs."

"Really? Then I can bring it up too." The sound of a door opening could be heard from the other end.

Xiang Jin: "!!! Leave it there, I'm coming down right now!!"

She ran very fast, found the familiar license plate number downstairs, opened the door and got in.

The soup in the thermos was at the perfect temperature, the medicinal smell was just right, but it smelled... nauseating.

Xiang Jin's courage vanished instantly. She quickly pushed open the door and squatted down to dry heave.

Murong Xiao gently stroked her back.

When did her health deteriorate to this extent? She was perfectly fine back in Fengjia Village.

"Are you feeling better now? Drink the soup."

Xiang Jin couldn't even cry anymore.

She forced herself to swallow the soup down in one gulp, enduring the discomfort in her stomach, and went upstairs barely clinging to life.

"Young Master, shall we still go to the company?" Su Ming asked.

"go."

This morning, there's one more person I need to meet.

The car slowly drove towards Fengrong Group.

I had just sat down in the president's office when the secretariat came to announce that Young Master Gu had arrived.

"Brother!" Gu Feiyang pushed open the office door and stormed in, his face ashen.

"Xu Jianshen told me that my sister-in-law is the white moonlight I met when I was a child, is that true?"

The person he searched for most of his life turned out to be his sister-in-law?!

He couldn't accept it, he absolutely couldn't.

Murong Xiao raised his eyes slightly.

"You believe what he says? Isn't this his usual tactic of sowing discord?" Murong Xiao's expression remained calm, without the slightest fluctuation.

"ah?"

Gu Feiyang was stunned.

"You're saying Xu Jianshen lied to me, and that nothing of this actually happened?!"

"Of course."

Murong Xiao tossed the documents in his hand aside and patted his shoulder earnestly: "Think about it, if you believe him and come to settle accounts with me, won't our brotherhood be affected? Isn't that exactly what he wants to see?"

The three of them practically grew up together.

However, Xu Jianshen is someone who always appears calm and amiable on the surface, but secretly stabs you in the back.

Adding to the fact that the Murong family and the Xu family had some past grievances, their relationship became even more tense.

Gu Feiyang thought for a moment and said, "That's right, that's how it is."

"So now, you have to pretend you know about this, but calmly and generously accept it. As long as he can't cause any trouble, he'll be the one who suffers."

"We absolutely won't let Xu Jianshen get away with this once we get the chance!"

"Brother, I misunderstood you. Please don't take it to heart."

"Won't."

"Then I'm going to have a drink with my brothers." Gu Feiyang left again in a menacing manner.
