This is a fantasy world where angels and demons dance together, elves and dwarves play mahjong, and every imperial royal family member has a dragon.
In the Campbell black market, there is an ...
People were coming and going on the street.
Many people's eyes were fixed on Li Aili and her group.
These extraordinary gazes were anything but friendly.
After careful consideration, Li Aili decided to leave with the Drow girl who was blocking her way.
This disheveled Drow girl, like a local tyrant, led Li Aili and the others through several winding alleys until they reached a quiet street.
The street was filled with dilapidated shacks, and the air reeked of sewage.
"How could you tell we weren't locals?" Li Aili asked curiously.
The girl glanced at Arthur next to Li Aili. "Give me 100 gold coins, and I'll be your guide. Otherwise, forget about it."
Leslie, who was very sensitive about money, almost choked on her saliva.
"How many?"
Upon being asked this, the girl immediately bristled like a cat with its fur standing on end. "What? You think 100 gold coins aren't enough to buy your life?"
The drow girl threatened, "The Queen never thinks there are too few 'offerings' in her rituals!"
Without hesitation, Li Aili pulled out a bag of gold coins. However, she only gave half to the girl.
"This is the deposit. I'll pay you the other half before we leave."
The girl snatched the bag of gold coins and counted them quickly and carefully twice.
After confirming that the number of gold coins was correct, she said coldly, "Come with me."
Leslie gave the 'petty robber' who was trying to extort them the cold shoulder. "Where are you going?"
"Or you could wait for me here." The girl rolled her eyes at him.
Leslie: "...Of course not, what if you take the money and run away?"
Wendy Shane pulled her fellow countryman, the pastor, back at just the right moment.
"Leslie, she's just a little girl."
Leslie looked at Wendy Shani expressionlessly. "If I could charge 100 gold coins for just showing someone the way, I would have bought a house in the Canopy District of Tankar long ago."
Wendy Shane: "..."
The little girl pretended not to hear Leslie's sarcastic remarks, and ran to the next street with her money bag in her arms.
On the way, she briefly introduced herself to Li Aili, saying, "You can call me 'Klaqi,' I'm going next door to trade something with a black market dealer."
“You can follow me and keep an eye on me, but I advise you not to let those guys in the black market see your men.”
As she spoke, she glanced at Leslie and said, "Oh, he might not be that valuable, so there's no need to hide him."
Leslie: "…………"
Wendy Shane: "..."
Just to be on the safe side, Li Aili told Leslie to stay on the next street.
As for Arthur... he completely ignored the advice of the Drow girl Kraki.
To this, the precocious young girl from Zhuoer simply rolled her eyes and said, "I won't take responsibility if anything happens."
So, Li Aili followed Kraci to the next street.
This street looks much cleaner than the 'slum' next door.
There were also relatively more people.
A group of idle women gathered together, and when they noticed someone approaching, they all looked over.
Their gazes swept past Kraki, lingered briefly on Ellie, and finally, without exception, all fixed their eyes on Arthur.
These greedy eyes of the draconians are hard to ignore.
Fortunately, Kracie finished her business quickly.
She handed over all 50 gold coins she had just received to an elderly woman named Zhuoer on the street.
Li Aili didn't really like this older woman, Zhuo Er.
Her eyes were like a snake's, and her gaze toward Arthur was full of predatory intent.
“Little girl.” The older female drow stared at Arthur and spoke to Li Aili in a harsh, gritty voice.
"Is this man behind you for sale?"
Li Aili: "..."
No wonder this is where Zhuo Er lives.
She casually asked in a cheeky tone, "How much can you offer?"
Arthur raised his hand expressionlessly, placed it on the back of Li Aili's neck, and gently kneaded it.
The 'Snake Eyes' drow pulled a cigarette from his waist, took a puff, and sized up Arthur through the smoke he exhaled. "10,000 gold."
Li Aili: "..." She couldn't help but turn around and look at Arthur.
Then mouth the question to him: If I sell you, can you find your way back yourself?
Arthur: "..."
He also lip-read the answer to his wife's question: Honey, don't you want to get out of bed when you get home?
Li Aili: "..."
She turned her head and refused sharply, "This is my husband! How could I possibly sell him!"
Snake-Eyed Zhuoer narrowed his eyes and said in a strange tone, "Oh, then I wish you a long and happy life together."
Kraki quickly pulled Li Aili and the others away.
As soon as they left the street where the black market dealers were trading, Wendy Shane frowned. "We're being followed."
Kraki started to get angry, "Damn it, didn't I tell you to hide your man well!?"
"What are you doing here? Tell me now, and get out of here!"
"The 'Snake Mother' has her eye on you!"
Li Aili didn't want to cause trouble, so she asked directly, "I want to inquire about someone."
"He was a nobleman who had been engaged to a priest many years ago, but ran away."
"Ah! You mean the young master of the Viola family?"
Leslie had just joined them when he heard about Charles's news. He habitually asked with suspicion, "So much time has passed, how do you remember?"
Kraki rolled her eyes. "He was so angry at the High Priest's wedding that he turned green with rage, and the city searched for him for a long time."
Kraki frowned. "Wait, you guys aren't here to...?"
