This is a fantasy world where angels and demons dance together, elves and dwarves play mahjong, and every imperial royal family member has a dragon.
In the Campbell black market, there is an ...
Once Panticillin makes his move, the outcome of this hearing will be a foregone conclusion.
The president of the Druid Association clenched his fists, visibly furious. "Damn it!"
The bubble above his head betrayed his true thoughts: [I almost could have legally run away!]
Li Aili: "..."
You little brat, you said you were *running*, didn't you?! What do you mean by "close to nature"?! You Druid Association exhibitionists really do genuinely want to *run*, don't you?!
The Minister of Law reversed the situation, slamming his gavel down with a fierce air and reading aloud the line from the first page of the Emerald City's Code.
Furthermore, the disciplinary action taken against the Druid Association for seriously impacting the appearance and image of Emerald City was announced.
"All appeals by Gomilia, the president of the Druid Association, are rejected."
"The detention sentences for Lesdria, Panlucia... a total of 68 people will continue to be carried out."
"The Druid Association is fined 300,000 gold coins."
Upon hearing this, Gomilia's eyes lit up with hope. "So, we can hold guild events as long as we pay a fine of 300,000?"
Li Aili, who had just stood up, suddenly felt dizzy.
She then placed a hand on the Duke's shoulder, grinding her teeth as she said, "Instruct the patrolling knights to keep a close eye on the Druid Association. If any of them have large areas of skin exposed to the light, issue them hefty fines!"
“My dear, you wouldn’t want the name ‘Ben’s City’ to get out, so that when you attend a banquet people will point at our backs and say, ‘Look, that’s the Duke and Duchess of Ben’s City,’ would you?”
Duke: "..."
Duke: "!"
The Duke slowly turned his head, stared at the Druid Guild Master with a reserved smile on his face, and solemnly said as if making an oath: "Rest assured, I will never let them wear clothes smaller than 2."
...
The afternoon's 'date' wasn't very successful, but the reckless Druid Association managed to divert the Duke's attention.
In short, the number of patrolling knights in Emerald City has increased significantly, and the city's defenses have become much tighter.
Li Aili successfully made it to night and comfortably pulled up her blanket. Just as she was about to close her eyes and go to sleep, there was a 'creak' sound, and the Duke, who had just finished his bath, seemed to be steaming with hot water vapor.
He walked to the bedside with a towel draped over his wet head.
With her eyes closed, Li Aili felt the pillow beside her head sink in. She opened her eyes a crack and saw the Duke looking down at her.
"Now, I think we should settle the score."
Li Aili: "..."
"A special date?"
"Absolutely none, the only one? Hmm?"
Li Aili silently burrowed down, trying to use the small blanket to cover herself, feeling weak, pitiful, and helpless.
But a large hand pressed down on her wrist.
The Duke leaned down and kissed him. "My dear, I wish you would make many mistakes, like today, so that I could..."
Li Aili struggled, "Lights, turn off the lights!"
...
When Li Aili opened her eyes again, she found herself in a magnificent golden palace.
The dome was so high that she had to squint to see the murals on it.
It was a white-haired elf wearing a black robe, holding a golden scale in one hand and the Codex in the other.
Li Aili: "..." She seemed to know where she was.
A voice came from behind, "Excuse me, tea or juice?"
Li Aili turned around and saw Panticil, wearing a crown of gods and a black divine robe, walking gracefully towards her.
“Originally, there could have been more options, such as alcohol, but as you know, for some reason, there are no such things in either the divine realm or the mortal realm now.”
Li Aili thought she must be dreaming.
"Old friend, what should I call you now?"
With a wave of his hand, Pantishlin conjured up an exquisite golden table and two comfortable golden chairs between them, blending seamlessly with the golden temple.
"Tea, thank you."
Li Aili then realized that she was wearing an elegant white dress.
She lifted her skirt.
Panticillin pulled out a chair for her first.
Li Aili: "Thank you, Your Majesty the God of Law."
Panticillin slightly curled the corners of his lips.
An invisible divine force lifted the teacup, filling it with tea for the two of them.
Li Aili looked at Pantishlin curiously, "It's amazing, in the blink of an eye, my old friend has become a god."
Panticil smiled slightly, "Yes, it's really amazing. Just when I thought I was going to spread the law in the underworld, a 'meteor' hit me straight on the head, and with a 'bang,' I was turned into a god."
Li Aili's lips twitched slightly.
"Ahem." She cleared her throat. "How does it feel to become a god?"
Panticillin calmly sipped his tea. "Very stimulating."
“When I was first struck by the divine spark, oh, I only realized it was a divine spark after I was struck,” Panticilin said calmly.
"Then this thing told me, 'Accept or destroy.' What followed was a massive amount of knowledge, oh, perhaps using the ocean as a metaphor is not quite right, it should be said that knowledge as numerous as the stars poured into my mind."
Li Aili slowly widened her eyes.
As a deity, one is omniscient and omnipotent.
How can a mortal brain hold so much knowledge?
Seemingly sensing what Li Aili was thinking, Panticillin said, "Of course, there's a little personal secret here."
"In short, my life as a mortal has come to an end, and the life of a new god has begun."
Li Aili slowly put down her teacup. "My old friend, I believe you called me here for more than just to hear this, right?"
