Li Aili was still standing on the stairs when she saw wooden crates covering the entire first-floor lobby.

Each chest was filled with gold coins.

She almost tumbled down the stairs because she lost her footing.

Li Aili held onto the stair railing as she descended the stairs, her steps still trembling, as if afraid that the minotaur had some kind of 'ultimate move' up his sleeve.

"Madam! Your potion is amazing!" The minotaur grinned from ear to ear as he saw Li Aili come down.

Li Aili looked completely bewildered. "Huh?"

The minotaur, Ba Jin, excitedly slammed his fist on the box of gold coins, making a loud "bang!" "Look! This is all from your potions! God! They're making so much money!"

Li Aili walked in a daze to a box containing gold coins, and roughly estimated that there were at least five thousand gold coins inside.

There are 20 such boxes.

Li Aili was stunned.

She painstakingly prepared healing potions for so many days and sold them to the Duke, only to earn 16,200 a month.

She felt she was asking for an exorbitant amount of compensation for the burned-down Campbell's shop, so she demanded 50,000 gold coins from the Duke.

Across from him, Arthur Cold Jade glanced at Li Aili, who had a serious expression, with a complicated look on his face.

Ba Jin called over the male servant behind him and whispered, "Hey, buddy, this steak is amazing, can we have another one?"

The servant immediately went to fetch the steak.

Turning back, Ba Jin continued, "Hey~ I asked him before I sold him the medicine if he could accept some minor side effects, like diarrhea."

Cold Jade threw her fork aside, wiped her hands with a napkin, and ended her dinner early.

"That gentleman asked me which was more painful, the full-body waxing treatment that was done every seven days or so."
