After Losing My Memory, I Mistook the Wrong Husband, and the Commander Doted on Me and Cherished Me

On the night of her wedding, the husband left for a mission as a soldier. For three years, Su Yueya dutifully took care of her mother-in-law. Just as she finally waited for her husband to be promot...

Chapter 19 Liu Dekai: Could he be mentally ill?

Zhao Fangxin did not leave. After having the door opened, he still followed Liu Dekai not far away.

He always needed to confirm whether the woman was a family member of someone in the military.

Who knew he'd hear such shocking news? The amount of information in those few sentences was simply overwhelming!

He remained silent, his eyes fixed on the two of them with curiosity, a feeling that he was about to uncover a major juicy secret.

Liu Dekai felt somewhat annoyed when he heard the question.

He used to think Su Yueya was a smart woman, but now he sees she's not very bright. The outcome is already so obvious, yet she still insists on coming here to ask. She's really clueless!

Why can't we say this in private when it's in front of others?

Also, how did Su Yueya know he was here and travel all this way?

According to his plan, with so many military units across the country, the furthest being in the border regions, it would take her two years to find them one by one.

Moreover, Su Yueya had no money, and even if she sold everything in her house, she wouldn't get much money.

How could she raise enough money to buy a train ticket in just one month?

Liu Dekai stared at her coldly with a gloomy look in his eyes, without saying a word.

Su Yueya couldn't help but take two steps forward and questioned, "Why aren't you saying anything? Are you feeling guilty? Are you in the wrong?"

"Where did this crazy woman come from? Do you know her? Why are you letting people in like this?"

Liu Dekai took two steps back and looked at Zhao Fangxin, who was watching the commotion from the side.

Su Yueya and Zhao Fangxin were both taken aback.

"Who are you? Who told you to impersonate my fiancée?"

Liu Dekai's eyes were very cold, as if he were looking at a stranger.

Seeing that Su Yueya was talking more and more, he had no other choice but to pretend he didn't know her. If nothing unexpected happened, Liu Dekai and Mo Youyou's marriage would be a done deal, but Su Yueya's sudden interference made Liu Dekai very flustered.

He was at the most crucial moment in his career. If he admitted to his relationship with Su Yueya, the matter would blow up and his marriage to Mo Youyou would be over.

If he misses out on Mo Youyou this time, it will be tantamount to offending the Mo family, and his life will not be easy.

Moreover, once people in the army find out that he once abandoned his wife from the countryside, he will probably find it even harder to find a woman from a good family.

In just a few seconds, Liu Dekai had already considered many possible outcomes. He absolutely could not admit to this today!

Su Yueya looked at him in disbelief.

Even though she knew perfectly well what Liu Dekai meant, she just couldn't get over it and insisted on hearing him say it himself.

I originally thought Liu Dekai was just arrogant because he had become an official and didn't want to acknowledge the marriage, but he said he had a fiancée.

It seems that he truly has another woman in his heart.

He abandoned her for another woman.

He forgot what he had said when he married her. He had said that she should take good care of his mother, and that once he earned enough money in the military to provide them with a good life, he would bring them to live with him. He promised that he would never let her down.

Large tears welled up in Su Yueya's eyes and soon dripped down her cheeks.

She trusted him so much, so why would this man treat her like this?

Liu Dekai frowned and said, "If it weren't for the fact that my wife came looking for me, I would have thought it was my fiancée, and I wouldn't have come out at all."

If you didn't know the truth, Liu Dekai's performance could really fool people.

This feigned ignorance extinguished the last glimmer of hope in Su Yueya's heart.

Liar, this big liar!

He said he would go back to pick her up and go to the army base with her mother-in-law to live a good life. He also said that once they got to the army base, he would submit a marriage application and give her a complete wedding. But it was all a lie.

Su Yueya didn't even dare to ask when he had another woman.

So what do these past three years mean to me?

Su Yueya felt increasingly distressed as she thought about it, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.

“Liu Dekai, you left for the army on the very night of your wedding. For the past three years, I have been taking care of your mother all by myself. I have done everything at home, from cooking and cleaning to changing food coupons and cloth for the cart.”

“Three years ago, your mother was so thin that a gust of wind could blow her over, and she would be out of breath after walking just a few steps. But now she can walk and jump, and she can cook and clean the house.”

"Even if I haven't done anything particularly meritorious, I've still put in a lot of effort, right? Liu Dekai, how could you treat me like this?!"

Su Yueya was extremely sad, and she cried as she spoke.

"We've known each other for so many years, and I never knew you were this kind of person. After being together for so long, you actually left me alone in the countryside. Liu Dekai, aren't you afraid of being struck by lightning for betraying me like this?"

Su Yueya grew angrier as she spoke, feeling a tightness in her chest, as if something was blocking her airway, making it hard for her to breathe.

“That rural area was where you took us before you went to the army. I’ve only known the villagers there for three years. When you left, you took all the valuables with you. Did you ever think about how a woman like me, who can’t do anything, was going to survive?”

"Or is it that from the moment you decided to get rid of me, you never cared whether I lived or died, and that you didn't care where I died as long as I didn't get in your way, is that right?"

It has to be said that Su Yueya guessed correctly.

She hadn't originally thought that way; it was Liu Dekai's attitude that forced her to consider the worst-case scenario.

Liu Dekai was already impatient. He almost said that he didn't think that way, but considering that there were other people around, he kept his bewildered expression.
