On the night of her wedding, the husband left for a mission as a soldier. For three years, Su Yueya dutifully took care of her mother-in-law. Just as she finally waited for her husband to be promot...
Just as Su Yueya was considering whether to report it to the doctor first, she was already preparing to sit up.
The nurse quickly helped Su Yueya to rest against the bedside.
"How are you? Does your head still hurt?"
"If you feel unwell anywhere, I'll go call the doctor right now."
"I should be fine now." Su Yueya touched her head; she didn't feel uncomfortable anywhere.
As the nurse advised, I should take it slow when getting up, and my head wouldn't feel so dizzy.
However, she was also very curious about what had happened to her.
Su Yueya asked, "I can't remember anything right now. Can you tell me why I'm here?"
They can act independently and speak clearly and logically.
After observing for a while and confirming based on her answers, the nurse concluded that the patient probably only had amnesia, so she wasn't in a hurry to see a doctor.
She was in charge of wards 516 to 520, so Lu Zhengjun looked for her at the nurses' station and asked her to keep an eye on Su Yueya.
The nurse would check on her every half hour, and would also peek inside whenever she passed by, which was how she could find out Su Yueya had woken up as soon as possible.
Hearing Su Yueya's question, he replied, "Don't you remember? A soldier brought you here."
Seeing that Su Yueya didn't react, the nurse continued, "You fainted because of heatstroke, but for some reason you bumped your head, which caused a blood clot in your brain. This blood clot is now pressing on your nerves, so you have a certain chance of experiencing memory loss. I didn't expect that you would have direct amnesia and not remember anything."
The nurse also found it amazing.
If it was just heatstroke and he fainted, how could there be such a big gash on his forehead with so much blood? It was obviously caused by a hard object hitting him.
If this were done by a doctor outside the family, people might misunderstand and think that the wound was inflicted by a man in the family.
But Lu Zhengjun was too handsome, so handsome that they didn't even think about it that way.
Moreover, Su Yueya was not an isolated case of blood clots in her brain compressing her nerves.
However, most people experience memory loss or confusion, which usually only occurs in the first few days after waking up. If they recover well, they may remember the information within a day.
If the recovery is slow, it will still take three to five days.
The nurse had never seen anyone like Su Yueya who had amnesia and couldn't remember anything. It was hard to say when she would recover.
Su Yueya lowered her head slightly, staring blankly at the quilt in front of her.
Who could it be that brought her here?
This man definitely knows her.
A man's image seemed to appear in her mind, but it was just a blur; she couldn't remember anything.
A surge of intense pain struck, and Su Yueya suddenly clutched her head, collapsing onto the bed in agony.
"Crescent Moon, thank you for taking care of my mother these past three years."
"Let's have a nice wedding when we get to the family compound."
"We'll get married after we go to the military base and get our marriage application approved."
Several familiar voices echoed in her mind—men's voices. Su Yueya felt very uncomfortable. Who were they? Was it her husband? Was her name Yueya?
Is her husband a soldier? Was she sent to accompany him while he was serving in the military?
How did she end up injured and lying here?
The nurse was startled by Su Yueya and quickly went to help her up. "What's wrong with you? Don't scare me! I'll go get a doctor for you right away!"
The nurse was so frightened she almost jumped up and was about to run out when someone grabbed her hand.
It's Su Yueya.
She felt a little better, sat up, and her face was extremely pale.
Do you know where my husband is?
Su Yueya's voice was soft, but her eyes were firm.
The nurse was startled, but breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the girl was really alright.
It's good that you're alright, it's good that you're alright.
Su Yueya asked again, "Excuse me, do you know where my husband went?"
husband?
The nurse was puzzled; she didn't know who Su Yueya's husband was.
Just as I was about to speak, Lu Zhengjun's face suddenly flashed into my mind.
So they were a couple!
The nurse nodded and said, "Don't worry, he probably went out on something. He even asked us to take good care of you. Maybe he'll come to see you later."
Releasing her grip on the nurse's hand, Su Yueya nodded. "Sorry, did I hurt you?"
"It's alright, as long as you're alright."
The nurse asked twice more to confirm that Su Yueya had no other health problems before leaving.
With a bang, the door slammed shut, cutting off all sound, leaving her alone in the ward once again.
The ward had a private bathroom. Su Yueya went to the toilet and then came back to lie down.
Perhaps because she had taken a few extra steps, Su Yueya felt dizzy and stared out the window.
As darkness fell, the rain had completely stopped after half an hour.
Su Yueya had been staring out the window for half an hour.
Where is her husband? Why hasn't he come to see her yet?
The lights in the hallway shone through the glass panel in the door, casting a small patch of light into the dark room.
Su Yueya was alone in the ward and soon curled up on the bed.
"Where did my husband go? Why isn't he back yet? Did he forget me here?"
"Honey, how am I supposed to get home if you don't come to pick me up?"
Su Yueya didn't know how long she waited, until it became quiet outside and even the corridor lights were turned off.
She didn't know what time it was, nor did she want to get out of bed. As darkness descended, she could only feel loneliness.
Su Yueya was feeling unwell and had not fully recovered; she felt tired even in the dark.
