Fang Ruotang, a frail and unremarkable girl from the Prime Minister’s household,
one day found herself pestered by a tiny, cutesy creature called the Mirror of Reversal—
and it star...
After lying down for a short while, Fang Ruotang curled up like a silkworm pupa, complaining, "What's wrong? Why isn't it warm?"
Of the six men, apart from the men sleeping on either side of Fang Ruotang, none of them chose to share a blanket. They would rather sleep on the floor under the bed than turn over and inhale the hot breath of other men.
So, there were only three people actually sleeping in the bed.
In the quiet room, Fang Ruotang's voice could be heard, like a poppy. No one was asleep, but no one answered her.
After a while, honest Fang Ruotang asked, "Whose heartbeat is so loud? It's disturbing my sleep."
The prince's forehead vein throbbed, and he said in a deep, helpless voice, "Go to sleep!"
Even though he had already been intimate with Fang Ruotang, he couldn't control his heartbeat at this moment, let alone the two men who were so close to Fang Ruotang for the first time, pressed together.
He could even smell the fragrance emanating from Fang Ruotang's body after her bath, which was exceptionally noticeable in the room.
He could also clearly distinguish which breath Fang Ruotang was taking. All sorts of emotions piled up together, which was already challenging his fragile nerves.
And the person who started all this is still unaware that he is challenging his bottom line.
As Fang Ruotang turned over again, Rong Shizi slowly reached out, tugged at her blanket, and whispered, "Go to sleep!"
"Oh," Fang Ruotang responded, snuggling closer to Rong Shizi. "Aren't you cold? Let's sleep together!"
Prince Rong: ...
"I'm cold!" the young prince suddenly exclaimed, pulling Fang Ruotang into his arms from behind, and asking with a hint of displeasure, "If you're cold, why don't you come into my arms and go to his?"
"Hmm?" Fang Ruotang thought for a moment, but couldn't figure it out. So she snuggled into his arms, found a comfortable position, and said matter-of-factly, "Sleep."
Prince Rong glanced sideways in the darkness, a huge disappointment welling up inside him. He had been so close just now, close enough that he could have reached out and pulled the person into his arms, yet he had missed it.
Rong Shizi felt as if a huge hole had been ripped out of his heart. He stared at the back of Fang Ruotang's head, hating that his eyesight was too good. Even though the doors and windows were tightly closed and there wasn't a single light in the room, he could clearly see that the young prince was secretly smelling the fragrance on Fang Ruotang's head like a pervert.
He... wanted to too.
Gradually, Prince Rong became immersed in regret, not knowing how much time had passed—perhaps a blink of an eye, or a quarter of an hour.
He heard the young prince's breathing gradually become heavier, and the emotions he had been able to suppress suddenly became extremely agitated, desperately wanting to find an outlet.
Prince Rong frowned, about to speak to stop her, when Fang Ruotang's sleepy voice rang out, a soft complaint that was both charming and sweet.
What are you doing! Stop touching me!
This sentence was like throwing a match into an oil field; sounds rose and fell in the room. No one said anything specific, but everyone's breathing became heavier.
"Little Ruoruo, I feel so uncomfortable." The young prince stopped sneaking around and rubbed against Fang Ruotang, scaring away her sleepiness.
She scolded playfully, "What are you doing? Calm down."
The young prince coaxed gently, "Sweetie, I won't do anything, please don't move, okay?"
"I don't want to!" Fang Ruotang was extremely embarrassed. She didn't know if the others were asleep or not, so she lowered her voice to a whisper. This breathless reply sounded like a potent drug to the young prince, making him even more confused and delirious.
"Don't do that! If you keep doing that, I'll get angry!" Fang Ruotang tried hard to pull her little hand back, sticking out her little bottom and moving backward.
The young prince took a step forward, and she took a step back.
The commotion was so loud that the five men who were pretending to be dead could no longer keep up the act. Fang Ruotang moved slowly into Rong Shizi's arms and pressed herself against his body.
The taut string that Rong Shizi was holding together snapped.
He flipped over, kicked the young prince hard, and shouted angrily, "Get out..."
Then he pulled Fang Ruotang into his arms. Fang Ruotang was stunned for a moment, and when she came to her senses, her face turned bright red. She stammered, "You...you're not asleep!"
"Ha! Such a commotion, even a dead man would get up." Huo Zhige's words were full of hostility, though they weren't directed at Fang Ruotang.
He glared at the young prince with malice, demanding, "Are you deaf? My little darling said no, no, can't you understand human language?"
Fang Ruotang blushed like an ostrich, sobbing softly as she asked, "Why aren't you all asleep?!"
Prince Rong looked at the little girl clutching his clothes and wiping away her tears, completely at a loss. It wasn't until his clothes were torn open, revealing her fair chest, that he awkwardly pressed his hand down and used his other hand to wipe away the tears on her face.
"Don't be afraid, it's alright!"
Huo Zhige and the other three were lying on the floor, already suppressing their anger, but upon hearing Fang Ruotang's cries, they all sat up.
The Crown Prince stood up with a sullen expression and pulled the young prince up.
The young prince was kicked in the stomach and stumbled backward, crashing into the wall. He was about to curse back, but when he heard Fang Ruotang's voice, he knew things were going to get bad.
He hurriedly tried to apologize, but Prince Rong didn't give him the chance. Now that the Crown Prince brought it up again, his head drooped.
