Chapter 226 The Little Sister's Ordeal

That night, Mr. Chen barely slept.

He moved a chair to the doorway and sat there watching his wife and daughter.

The next day, around 7 a.m., Chen's parents took Zhiyu, who was still fast asleep, to find Chen Siyu.

After the change of environment, almost no one was able to sleep soundly. Chen Siyu quickly came to open the door. Although she was not very awake, she could tell that her parents looked very unwell.

Chen Siyu quickly let them in and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong? Are you seasick? Why do you look so pale?"

Huang Yiyi, who woke up early because she was a little seasick, greeted her uncle and aunt.

She waved the medicine in her hand, "Uncle and Aunt, you can take one if you feel unwell."

Chen Ma simply said "okay" and didn't say anything else. Huang Yiyi sensed the awkward atmosphere and realized something must have happened.

She immediately stood up and sat down next to Chen Siyu.

Sitting across from her, Mr. Chen began to recount what had happened the previous night. Upon learning that he was the person in question, Chen Siyu could no longer sit still.

She had already stood up when Huang Yiyi pulled her back down. "Calm down a bit. He is indeed that person, but we don't know what he did. If you rush over there, what if you get killed instead?"

Chen Siyu's eyes were full of disgust. "He kidnapped a child, and you didn't see it yesterday, his eyes were constantly darting between me and my little sister. What kind of good person could he be?"

Chen Siyu got angrier and angrier as she spoke, and Huang Yiyi kept patting her back to calm her down, otherwise she was afraid that Chen Siyu would explode at any moment.

The younger sister on the bed was still fast asleep, while the three people in front of her were furious.

This couldn't go on forever, so Huang Yiyi called Cheng Zhi and Xiao Feiran over as well.

After understanding the situation, Cheng Zhi said, "Uncle and Aunt, we didn't go to sleep until after 3 a.m. last night. Little sister won't wake up for a while, and you can't just keep not resting. Here's what we'll do: you go back and rest first, and we'll take care of little sister."

Mr. Chen didn't say anything, but Mrs. Chen's face was full of reluctance.

Xiao Feiran chimed in, “Uncle and Auntie, Siyu and Cheng Zhi are here. Little sister likes these two older sisters the most. Maybe she’ll be willing to tell them everything later. She’ll be nervous if you’re here.”

That makes sense. Chen's mother tucked the blanket around her younger sister and then pulled Chen's father away with her.

After Mom and Dad went home, the girls gathered around the bed.

Cheng Zhi glanced at her younger sister, then turned her head away and said softly, "She was finally getting better, and now she's been traumatized again."

Sitting at the foot of the bed, Xiao Feiran said with her eyes closed, "This world is really small, which is good. Just kill them and throw them in the water, and no one will know."

Chen Siyu rubbed her temples. "Let's not talk about it now. Let's all go back and get some more sleep. She probably won't wake up until 10 o'clock."

They didn't refuse. Before leaving, Cheng Zhi reminded them, "Take your little sister into the space to sleep. That way, you can both sleep better. You too, if you feel really dizzy, go in with her."

Chen Siyu and Huang Yiyi both nodded, saying they would handle it as they saw fit.

After Cheng Zhi and Xiao Feiran returned to the next room, they were unable to fall asleep immediately.

They both stared blankly at the ceiling. After a while, Cheng Zhi said, "I wonder if there are any security cameras on this ship."

Xiao Feiran, in the next bed, nodded. "I've been thinking about this too. I think it probably exists."

After a while, Cheng Zhi shook her head. "Go to sleep, go to sleep. Why are you thinking about this now?"

The two stopped thinking and fell asleep.

When Cheng Zhi woke up again, it was already past ten o'clock. She got up and knocked on the door of the next room, but there was no response.

They were probably all in the space, so Cheng Zhi went to call Zheng Wan. After returning to their own rooms, the three of them entered the space.

Sure enough, all three of them were in the room next to the living room.

They got up too. Chen Siyu was helping her younger sister tie her hair, while Huang Yiyi was washing up in the bathroom.

When she saw Cheng Zhi arrive, the little girl was instantly happy. She opened her arms to Cheng Zhi, wanting a hug.

Who could resist a fair-skinned and sweet little sister? Cheng Zhi hugged her tightly.

"Good morning, Zhiyu. Did you sleep well last night?" Cheng Zhi asked, kissing her forehead.

Zhiyu thought for a moment and said, "I slept very comfortably, swaying back and forth."

The answer was unexpected. Cheng Zhi nodded, "I'm glad you like it."

Zhiyu, who was in Cheng Zhi's arms, didn't respond. She looked at Cheng Zhi, seemingly lost in thought. After about two minutes, she finally spoke, "Sister, are we really going to stay on the ship for a long time?"

Cheng Zhi wasn't sure about this either, and not wanting to lie to the child, she told the truth, "The older sisters don't know either."

Zhiyu was visibly disappointed; her eyelids drooped.

Cheng Zhi patted her head and continued to ask, "Doesn't Zhiyu like being on the boat?"

Zhiyu nodded, then thought for a moment and shook her head. "I like boats, but I don't like that uncle. I'm afraid of him."

Apart from Xiao Feiran and Zheng Wan in the kitchen, the three of them couldn't help but crowd around their little sister, eager to know the answer, but afraid of scaring her.

Cheng Zhi was a little nervous. She didn't rush to speak, but just quietly stayed with her for a while.

"Can you tell me why you're afraid of him?" Cheng Zhi asked, holding her younger sister's hand.

Zhiyu pursed her lips, wanting to speak several times, but no sound came out.

Cheng Zhi quickly pulled her into her arms and wrapped her in a blanket, trying to give her a sense of security.

Chen Siyu, who was behind, was in a great hurry and almost tore the bed sheet to shreds.

Finally, the little girl spoke up, "That uncle said he was going to eat me, and then he brought back an aunt and a baby. He said he wouldn't eat me first, but would eat the little one first. The aunt wouldn't allow it, so he hit her. The aunt cried very loudly, and she bled a lot."

Zhiyu spoke softer and softer until she stopped talking altogether.

Once she felt a little better, she continued, "Then that auntie gave the baby to me. She told me to run away quickly, so I ran and kept running."

Hearing this, Chen Siyu felt her heart clench.

Huang Yiyi, who was already feeling dizzy and nauseous, felt even more uncomfortable in her stomach, so she quickly went out to find some water to drink.

Cheng Zhi wanted to curse, but since the child was still alive, she could only swallow her words.

She pulled her younger sister out of the blanket and held her on her lap. "Don't be afraid. We have so many people with us now. We will protect you."
