After Rebirth, Dormitory 806 Survives in the Apocalypse Through Stockpiling

The apocalypse arrives, but the five girls in Dormitory 806 haven't realized how serious the situation is until their roommates die one by one before their eyes. It wasn't until Cheng Zhi h...

Chapter 61: We're serious about photo editing.

The snowstorm wasn't heavy, and there was no one on the road, so they drove smoothly the whole way.

While Zheng Wan was driving, the others weren't idle either; they exported the photos from the CCD and took turns editing them.

Seeing everything in the rearview mirror, Zheng Wan shouted, "Don't forget about me!"

Cheng Zhi responded with an "OK" sign.

Xiao Feiran was the quickest; she only added a touch of lipstick to brighten her complexion. Then she started watching.

Next up is Huang Yiyi, and she's just as fierce, immediately raising the face-slimming effect to an alarming level.

"..." Xiao Feiran looked at Huang Yiyi's serious expression and asked, "Friend, are you serious about slimming your face?"

Huang Yiyi nodded, "That must be serious."

Then Cheng Zhi, who was standing next to her, came over and, looking at her own face that had been stretched and distorted in the photo, started punching Huang Yiyi, saying, "When you Photoshop photos, you really don't care about other people's lives at all!"

Huang Yiyi took a closer look and almost burst out laughing, because Cheng Zhi, who was standing next to her in the photo, had been distorted by her, and her left cheek was twice as wide as her right cheek, making her look especially like a pumpkin.

"I was wrong, sister. I'll pull you back right now and restore your youth and beauty." Huang Yiyi dodged while pressing the recall button.

After passing the photos around, everyone had finished editing them. Cheng Zhi took the photos to show Zheng Wan, and everyone in the photos had put on full makeup. They even added blush to the snowman.

"You guys are amazing, but even if you edit it so well, it's useless if you don't have internet access, so you can't post it." Zheng Wan had already turned her attention away and was concentrating on driving.

Chen Siyu, who was lying by the bed teasing Liu Liu, replied, "It's good for commemorating. When we live to be eighty, we can use this to brag to our descendants."

Zheng Wan found the thought of it amusing. She imagined these people getting old and toothless, then pulling out heavily photoshopped pictures to brag to their children and grandchildren. With photoshopped like that, would they even be able to tell which one was their actual elder?

Cheng Zhi, who was already seated in the passenger seat, looked at the scenery along the way and said, "Chen Siyu is right. When we get to the city, we should find a printer so that even if these electronic products break down in the future, the photos can still be preserved."

They drove for a day, during which they encountered no more than ten vehicles, all of which were going in the opposite direction.

This frightened Zheng Wan, and her eyelids kept twitching. "Could something bad be going to happen in Liancheng ahead?"

Xiao Feiran, who was behind, also became serious. He held up his binoculars and kept looking, trying to find something, but everything was normal and no strange people appeared.

Cheng Zhi took out a map she had specially saved before the apocalypse. "After passing through Liancheng, we'll reach Yangzhou. If we don't take this route, we'll have to go on a huge detour."

If we choose another route, it will take longer and there will be more unknown dangers. It's hard to choose either way. It's safest to go directly through Liancheng, as it's the shortest route.

Sitting in the back, Chen Siyu recalled Cheng Zhi's earlier words about buying a gun. Her gaze drifted through the glass to the distant city, wondering if they could find what they wanted there.

The car was about to pass through the territory of Liancheng. Perhaps it is different in every city, but there were no armed burly men collecting protection money at the entrance of Liancheng.

But that didn't mean it was safe. Cheng Zhi saw the tire tracks on the road and large patches of blood. Zheng Wan, who was driving, also saw them, although they were partially covered by the snow.

The two exchanged a glance, and Cheng Zhi then signaled Zheng Wan to turn around.

As soon as they turned around, they were stopped by two men who appeared out of nowhere, who pointed guns at them. "Since you're here, you should leave something behind. Leave everything behind."

It was cold, and the men were bundled up thickly, so Cheng Zhi couldn't make out what they looked like at all. But she didn't need to know that, so she simply told Zheng Wan to step on the gas and crash into the two of them.

Perhaps it was their first time robbing someone, or perhaps it was the first time they had encountered such reckless people. Although the two men were carrying guns, they didn't react in time and were directly knocked away by Cheng Zhi and her group.

Even if they were wearing thick clothes, such a forceful impact would have left them either dead or dazed. Taking advantage of this opening, Cheng Zhi grabbed a stun gun and rushed down, shocking the two of them.

After removing the men's hats and masks, and seeing that they had all vomited blood, Cheng Zhi felt relieved enough to take the guns and ammunition from their hands. She also found two women's gold bracelets and half a loaf of bread in their pockets.

It seems these two didn't manage to grab much before running into them; what an inauspicious start.

Although they wouldn't eat that half-piece of bread, Cheng Zhi felt it would still be useful. It could be used to feed the chickens, or it could be used when they had to pay protection money in the next city.

Xiao Feiran got out from behind and used tissues to wipe the bloodstains off the car window. As for the blood on the hood, she didn't plan to wipe it; leaving it there might scare others.

Huang Yiyi shook her head as she looked at the two people. "I don't think this is good. There are robbers right at the door. What will happen inside?"

"What can we do? It will have to pass eventually." Cheng Zhi wiped her hands with alcohol after getting back into the car.

After glancing at the time, Xiao Feiran said, "It's still early, why don't we put the car away and walk in?"

Their motorhome was quite eye-catching; if it were just a few frail women walking around, people would think they had nothing to steal.

Without further ado, they added a few more thermal underwear and some hand warmers, then crammed the RV and Liu Liu into the space.

Cheng Zhi looked left and right, and realized that this was still not quite right.

Huang Yiyi asked, puzzled, "Is there something wrong with it?"

Cheng Zhi pointed out that there was something wrong with her from head to toe.

The five women's clothes were so clean and tidy, their faces were fair and delicate, and there wasn't a speck of dirt on their snow boots. Moreover, they didn't carry any burdens, and they didn't seem to want to flee at all; they looked more like they were on vacation.

Zheng Wan pointed to the mud on the ground next to her. "Isn't this simple? Just roll it around in it, and you'll see the effect!"

No sooner said than done, Xiao Feiran had already grabbed some mud, rolled it into a ball, and threw it directly at Huang Yiyi.

"..." Huang Yiyi was stunned for less than two seconds before rushing over and shouting, "The war has begun! If I don't turn you into a terracotta warrior, I'm not Huang!"
