Chapter 559 Conclusion and Acknowledgments

Hello! I'm the author, Mu Ziyingbao~~ The main story has now concluded. Thank you all for accompanying me for so long, and thank you for following this novel all this time!!!

First of all, I'd like to apologize to everyone. I'm a student, and writing novels is just a hobby. So there are definitely some problems in this process. My writing isn't very good, the logic isn't rigorous enough, and the plot certainly has some flaws and many imperfections.

So I'm very sorry. There will be new works in the future, and I will use this experience to find areas for improvement. I hope my future works will get better and better, achieving greater results and satisfying more people.

The novel has two endings. Some readers may not have fully understood them. The first ending is a happy ending for the male and female protagonists, which is usually a happy ending. The second ending is a bit more special.

In the second ending, Yu Jingchen's rebirth is actually just a dream he had. This dream was long and very real, and in it, he truly fell in love with Nan Zhiyun. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done. And those things can never be undone, so it was all just a fleeting dream.

As for the child in the second ending... he's actually the same child who ascended the throne at the end of the first life. He was adopted by Nan Su, and later, after Nan Su's death, Yu Jingchen adopted him back.

Next, I'll give you a summary of the main plot of this novel. (It will be quite long; you can skip the beginning, but I'll talk about the side stories at the end, which you can choose to read selectively.)

This novel is a story of a male protagonist who is reborn and repents. This is quite obvious, as the male protagonist experiences three lifetimes in this novel. The first lifetime is the one we mentioned at the beginning where he blocks the sword. The second lifetime is the one that is inserted in the middle where the male protagonist's obsessive treatment of the female protagonist causes him to lose his mind and ultimately die of depression. The third lifetime's plot is the main content of this novel. The male protagonist has memories of his first lifetime from the beginning, while he recovers his memories of the second lifetime midway through the story. This should be fairly clear, and I believe everyone can understand it.

Then there's our Empress Dowager, who also possesses memories of three lifetimes, except she had all the memories from the very beginning. In the first lifetime, the male lead, due to his suspicion of the Nan family, ultimately caused Nan Su and Nan Zhiyun to suffer such a fate. The Empress Dowager harbored deep resentment towards the male lead, so in the second lifetime, she joined forces with Yu Jing'an to attempt a rebellion and overthrow Yu Jingchen's throne, but unfortunately, they failed.

At the beginning, many people asked why the Empress Dowager, despite being reborn, didn't lead the Nan family in a rebellion. The reason lies in her second life; it wasn't that she didn't have the idea, but she simply couldn't carry it out. Some might ask, given her experience from the second life, wouldn't she succeed this time? Think about it carefully: why did she fail in the second life? It's because Yu Jingchen was prepared from the start, so regardless of the Nan family's help, Yu Jing'an couldn't have succeeded.

The Empress Dowager in the second life schemed for so long, but ultimately failed. This proves that Yu Jingchen's position was not solely due to the support of his ministers. Rather, he possessed the ability himself and never trusted anyone. Even if Nan Su hadn't returned in the first life, Yu Jing'an's scheme would never have succeeded.

Yu Jingchen is suspicious even of Nan Su, so how could he possibly trust a prince? He has been secretly cultivating his own power, so the Empress Dowager's move is doomed to fail. Even with her experience from her second life, she doesn't know how deep Yu Jingchen's true strength is or whether he has any other tricks up his sleeve.

She wasn't afraid; she simply had many things to consider. Moreover, he didn't have many second chances, so she had to make the best choice. In this life, the Empress Dowager's sacrifice of herself for Yu Jingchen's rebirth wasn't because she was soft-hearted.

She simply hoped that the reborn Yu Jingchen would protect everything she cared about and cherished. With his memories of his first life, the reborn Yu Jingchen would certainly be less suspicious of the Nan family. Furthermore, considering Nan Zhiyun's final act of shielding him from the sword, she couldn't believe Yu Jingchen was truly unmoved.

Moreover, she knew what happened after Nan Zhiyun's death, so she believed that Yu Jingchen couldn't possibly have completely hated Nan Zhiyun. Therefore, she was willing to gamble everything one last time, exchanging herself for Yu Jingchen's rebirth.

After her rebirth, she slowly forced Yu Jingchen to realize his feelings. In this life, she never intended to separate them. Even though she initially seemed so resistant to their contact, it was only to make Yu Jingchen realize his feelings for Nan Zhiyun.

Upon returning to the palace, the Empress Dowager's first action was to test Nan Zhiyun's attitude towards Yu Jingchen. If Nan Zhiyun had resolutely told her she wanted to leave, the Empress Dowager might not have forced her. However, Nan Zhiyun hesitated… If that were the case, the Empress Dowager would consider helping Nan Zhiyun get what she wanted.

The first time she returned to deal with the other concubines who had bullied Nan Zhiyun, besides helping Nan Zhiyun get out, she was also testing Yu Jingchen's attitude. It was obvious that Yu Jingchen ignored the Empress Dowager's actions, which proved that Yu Jingchen had begun to care about Nan Zhiyun.

Later, she deliberately kept Nan Zhiyun by her side only to force Yu Jingchen to discover the slight difference in her treatment of Nan Zhiyun. Later, she and the Imperial Concubine kidnapped Nan Zhiyun, hoping to test the extent of Yu Jingchen's feelings for her and to put him under pressure, making him less hesitant in matters of the heart. Simultaneously, she wanted to rekindle his guilt towards Nan Zhiyun, because guilt might be the beginning of love.
