“Your Majesty, should there be a next life, this concubine wishes to never have met you, and to never see each other for all eternity.”
Yu Jingchen hated her, yet the last thing she did i...
I've been writing this novel for quite some time now, and I've reflected on it along the way. With every work, I look for my own shortcomings, but that's only one aspect. There are many small things I can't see myself, so I need everyone's supervision and corrections. If you have any questions, please leave a comment!
I'm quite active, hehe, and I hope to connect with everyone as friends and online acquaintances, not necessarily as author and reader. My biggest reward from writing novels is seeing all of you reading them. I really look forward to receiving your comments every day; they're truly fun and enjoyable to read. But please don't get annoyed by my comments, hehe~
Finally, let me explain. Since school recently started, and I just finished watching the entrance exams a couple of days ago, classes are now in full swing, and my schedule is quite packed. Plus, as a member of the student council, I've been extremely busy lately, so I haven't had much free time.
(Don't ask me how old I am, I was born in 2004, and I'm a sophomore now~ hahaha, so many people have asked me, I can't answer them all.)
I haven't had any free time in the past week, so updates have been slow because I usually only have time to update after 10 pm.
However, I will still try my best to keep updating and make up for any missing parts. So please keep looking back, as I have added content to some chapters.
This has been a difficult time, and I appreciate everyone's understanding. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm so sorry!
Finally, please leave me any comments or suggestions. I will read them all, one by one, but sometimes I may not be able to reply to everyone. However, I will read all your comments, so please feel free to give me your feedback. Thank you everyone!

After putting Nan Zhiyun down, Yu Jingchen carefully examined her foot. Seeing that the injury had not worsened, he slowly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Have you regressed to a childlike state? Why do you need someone else to tell you this?" Yu Jingchen couldn't help but "scold" him again.
Nan Zhiyun remained silent for a long time, looking like a child who had made a mistake and felt guilty.
"I was scared just now..." Nan Zhiyun suddenly blurted out, and Yu Jingchen almost didn't react. What did she just say?
"What? What were you scared of just now?" Yu Jingchen asked her. Nan Zhiyun had never told him these things on her own initiative, so he paid attention to these details.
"I...I don't know, I'm just scared. I'm scared of being alone in there, but...but I don't even know what I'm scared of." Nan Zhiyun's eyes reddened as she spoke, leaving Yu Jingchen bewildered by her sudden outburst.
"Why are you still crying? Are you still scared? I'm right here. What are you still crying about? What are you afraid of?" Yu Jingchen said a lot, but he also took action to wipe her tears.
Nan Zhiyun couldn't stop her tears; she didn't know what emotion was making her burst into tears.
"Alright, why are you crying? It's no use. I won't say anything more." Yu Jingchen had lost count of how many times he had given in.
Nan Zhiyun managed to stop her tears, her heart still aching, but at least she didn't show it on her face.
"Afraid of being alone? Did you have a nightmare?" Yu Jingchen asked her. She had only slept for about an hour, so Yu Jingchen guessed that she had woken up because of a nightmare.
“No…” Nan Zhiyun shook her head, but Yu Jingchen could tell that something was wrong with her, and he became suspicious.
"Not telling the truth anymore? What, you've gotten bolder now, daring to lie? Do you have to hide the truth from us now?" Yu Jingchen asked her, but his tone wasn't threatening; he shouldn't have been angry.
Nan Zhiyun shook her head, but she didn't dare to speak. Perhaps sensing her concerns, Yu Jingchen began to coax her.
"I'm not angry, and I won't scold you. Tell me, what happened just now? What's on your mind that you want to say? Hmm?" Yu Jingchen was very patient.
Nan Zhiyun looked at Yu Jingchen, as if pondering the truth of what he had just said, her eyes filled with doubt. Yu Jingchen wasn't in a hurry; Nan Zhiyun wasn't so bad after all.
If he coaxed her a little more, she would be able to let go of her inner turmoil. Compared to Nan Zhiyun, who said nothing, Yu Jingchen felt that this method was not so difficult to accept.
He didn't know if all young girls were like this, but he knew that Nan Zhiyun needed to be coaxed right now. He understood his own temper, but now, spending some patience and effort wasn't so difficult; it was just a matter of a few words. He could just treat her like... Nan Zhiyun was still young, so he could treat her like a child.
But... is that really the case? Yu Jingchen might not yet realize that some things aren't so easily explained, and once it starts, it can only become uncontrollable. Unconsciously, he might completely transform into a different person, slowly changing until these things become habits.
Nan Zhiyun lowered her head, her lips pursed, looking as if she was about to cry. Yu Jingchen was taken aback by her appearance; what was wrong with her now?
"You really don't want to talk about it?" Yu Jingchen didn't press him, but he still asked.
“Scared…” Nan Zhiyun said just that. Perhaps it was because of her behavior that Yu Jingchen noticed something was wrong.
He gently took Nan Zhiyun's hand and found that her palms were sweaty and very cold.
