In her previous life, Su Jin Xia was deceived and persecuted, dying miserably. Reborn, she not only seeks revenge and corrects injustices but also protects the one she loves.
However, when lo...
Shen Qianxue did not press further about the deception.
He lifted Su Jin's head and gently kissed her forehead. "Don't cry, don't overthink it. You'll be fine."
As she spoke, Shen Qianxue picked up the medicine again and said with a smile, "I'll use the best medicine for you. It won't hurt in a couple of days. I'll personally go to Lu Ming to get the secret formula for you. I'll make sure to remove this scar."
Shen Qianxue was the first to change the subject.
Su Jin was speechless with anger. "You just said you didn't care."
Shen Qianxue gently pinched Su Jin's nose. "I don't care, but I can't let anyone say anything bad about my A-Jin."
Soon after, the food arrived, and all the impulsiveness from just now was gently forgotten.
Su Jinxia had no idea what Shen Qianxue was thinking, or how deep her suspicions about her ran. She only felt that she understood this man less and less.
Ultimately, in both her past and present lives, Su Jinxia and Shen Qianxue didn't spend much time together. She didn't really understand Shen Qianxue, nor did she know what kind of methods or cunning mind the later renowned God of War possessed.
In short, Su Jin dared not have the thought of confessing again. Once the identity of the Glass Master was exposed, things might get out of control and completely fall into chaos.
We had no choice but to proceed according to the original plan.
The future is unknown.
A few days later, the epidemic was completely over, and Lu Ming returned.
When Su Jin heard that Lu Ming was sick, she rushed to see him.
Inside the medicine shed, Lu Ming lay on a couch, coughing incessantly.
The servant hurriedly brought over the medicine, and after drinking it, the cough subsided slightly.
Lu Ming waved his hand, "I'm fine, you can go now."
The servant hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.
Lu Ming looked at him strangely, "What's wrong?"
The servant scratched his head, puzzled, and said, "When I was brewing the antidote for you today, I found that some of the less common antidotes were missing."
"Who took it?"
The servant shook his head. "No, besides, these medicines are all antidotes, they're not used often!"
"Oh!" The servant suddenly remembered, "Miss Su always gets medicine from us, but we never tell her what it is. Could it be that she took it?"
Lu Ming looked puzzled. "What does she need these medicines for?"
"Master!"
Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
The sound came before Su Jin's servants even entered the courtyard.
Lu Ming gave the servant a look to leave, then looked at Su Jinxia, who was covered in sweat from running, and laughed, "Were you chased by wolves?"
"I'm worried about you."
Su Jinxia moved closer to Lu Ming, looking him up and down. She noticed that his face was pale and his body was even thinner.
"Why are you sick?"
Lu Ming smiled and said, "It's nothing. I've just been a bit overworked lately, which brought out some old ailments."
Su Jin tilted her head, "What old ailment can't you cure?"
"It's a childhood ailment, nothing to worry about. Please sit down. How's your injury?"
Su Jin turned around and replied with a smile, "I'm fine, I'm perfectly well. Get well soon, I'm waiting to serve you tea as a formal apprenticeship ceremony."
Lu Ming's eyes flickered with light and shadow as he said softly, "No rush, give me your hand, let me take your number and see how badly you're injured."
Su Jin was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and said, "I said it's nothing, so it's nothing. Don't worry about it, get some rest. I won't bother you anymore, I'll come see you another day."
Having failed, Lu Ming remained calm and gave Su Jin a few instructions before letting her leave.
After Su Jinxia left, Lu Ming's expression turned serious. Su Jinxia's behavior just now seemed a bit suspicious.
Come to think of it, after spending so much time together, Lu Ming had never actually felt Su Jin's pulse.
A few days later, Lu Ming recovered and the pharmacy returned to its usual bustling state.
Su Jin formally offered tea to Lu Ming and became his disciple.
During this time, Lu Ming made several excuses to try and take Su Jin's pulse, but Su Jin always brushed him off.
That night, Lu Ming quietly came to the lakeside behind Tingyu Tower and climbed over the wall into Su Jin's small courtyard.
The window on the first floor was open, and Lu Ming was about to climb in when suddenly someone twisted his arm behind his back, causing him so much pain that he almost cried out.
"The Deer's Cry?"
Shen Qianxue's face was solemn, never expecting that the thief who climbed through the window was actually Lu Ming.
"Shh!"
Lu Ming held up a finger, signaling Shen Qianxue to be quiet.
Shen Qianxue released him with a dark expression. "Explain yourself clearly."
Lu Ming just now looked exactly like a lecherous rogue.
Lu Ming sighed and pointed to Shen Qianxue's courtyard.
The two left quietly.
"Speak, what happened?" Shen Qianxue clasped her hands in front of her chest, ready to interrogate her.
Lu Ming had no choice but to recount his suspicions from the beginning.
Shen Qianxue's heart pounded. "So you suspect Su Jin was poisoned?"
Lu Ming nodded.
"Why didn't you tell me about something this big sooner!"
Lu Ming… “I was just guessing, and you caught me right before I was about to verify it.”
The two looked at each other in silence.
Finally, having no better option, they could only grope their way back to Su Jin's courtyard in the dark.
Under the moonlight, the jade pendant around Lu Ming's waist was extremely eye-catching.
Shen Qianxue casually asked, "When did you start liking jade?"
Lu Ming chuckled softly, a hint of smugness in his eyes. "This was a gift from my disciple?"
Shen Qianxue suddenly remembered the jewelry box that had been hidden in the Prince's mansion for many days and was treasured by Su Jin. Could it be that this piece of jade was inside?
Shen Qianxue's mood was completely ruined.
I'm so annoyed!
"You stay here, I'll go first!"
Shen Qianxue gave the order in an unfriendly tone, then leaped up to the second floor and landed silently in a room on the second floor.
It was hot, so Su Jinxia hardly covered herself with a blanket and wore only a thin veil. Her exquisite and shapely figure made Shen Qianxue blush instantly.
