In my past life, I, the wealthy daughter, was a stepping stone for Fu Yanshen, who came from a bodyguard background and transcended social classes.
I was a tool to highlight his deep affectio...
The harder Bei Chen kicked, the fiercer Fu Yanshen kissed me, and the tighter he held me. The violent kiss almost suffocated me. His hands kneaded my back, as if he wouldn't be satisfied until he could meld me into his body.
His possessiveness towards me is even stronger than before.
He finally released my lips. I tilted my head back and breathed heavily. The man's warm, hard body was still pressed against me, surrounding me completely. His large hands covered my full breasts through my red velvet dress.
"Hmm..." I let out an uncontrollable groan from deep in my throat.
The man's hot, hormone-filled breath sprayed onto my shoulders and neck as he gently inhaled and kissed my skin. "That guy even tried to elope with you and fight me back then. I should have killed him!"
He gritted his teeth and whispered, his tone filled with bitterness.
He was referring to the time just before we got our marriage certificate, when Beichen was indeed "outrageously" determined to take me away; that was the first time he had done something out of line.
"Fu Yanshen, hiss..." Just as I was about to retort, he suddenly bit my collarbone. I gasped in pain and pushed him away with both hands, but he sucked on it recklessly.
"Fu Yanshen, if you have the guts, come out here! What kind of man are you who only knows how to force and bully women!"
Bei Chen's mocking voice came from outside.
Perhaps the words "coercion" and "bullying" touched a nerve with Fu Yanshen, because he suddenly raised his head, grabbed my waist, turned around, and opened the door.
Bei Chen, standing outside the door, was stunned. He didn't seem to be injured; the bruises on his cheeks were still there.
His dark, deep eyes scrutinized me, gradually moving downwards until they seemed to pause at my collarbone.
"Sheng Beichen, about what happened between Qiao Qiao and me—"
Before Fu Yanshen could finish speaking, Bei Chen lunged at him with his fist raised...
They started fighting again, from the living room to the hallway, neither of them giving way, and no matter how much I tried to stop them, it wouldn't work.
I was quite surprised to learn that Bei Chen's skills were no less than Fu Yanshen's.
Although he had learned various sword techniques since childhood, he had always been a pampered young master and had almost never been in a fight.
"If you keep fighting, I'm calling the police!"
"Fu Yanshen, did you hear me?"
Seeing that they all had blood trickling from the corners of their mouths, and were locked in a fierce battle, I was at my wit's end and angrily drank.
Fu Yanshen turned to look at me, and just then, Bei Chen kicked him. The speed was so fast that it only took the blink of an eye.
His kick landed squarely on Fu Yanshen's chest, producing a dull thud that sounded as if bones were cracking.
In that instant, I held my breath.
His body staggered backward, crashing into the marble wall.
He had his head down, so I couldn't see his expression.
I had just taken a step when Beichen grabbed me. "Sis... my hand is injured... it hurts so much."
I turned my head and saw that Beichen's hand was covered in blood. The bright red blood meandered down his long, pale fingers, and I frowned.
He pulled me into the house, and I turned my head to look. Fu Yanshen was leaning against the wall without moving, his head still hanging down, and I couldn't see what was going on.
Do you have a first-aid kit?
Bei Chen had already closed the door. I snapped out of my daze, nodded, and went to get the first-aid kit to treat his wounds.
"How dare he bother you like this..."
Bei Chen muttered angrily.
By all accounts, he and Fu Yanshen are half-brothers.
"Beichen, it's getting late. You should go back first. I should rest too. There's a morning meeting tomorrow." I said gently as I packed my medicine kit.
He frowned. "If he comes again..."
"It's okay, he won't really do anything to me. You should go back and get some rest." After saying that, I yawned.
Beichen took his coat and overcoat and went out.
As I saw him off, I subconsciously glanced at the empty hallway; Fu Yanshen must have left long ago.
Bei Chen's kick seemed very heavy, hitting him right in the heart. Could it be...?
I quickly dismissed the thought, took a shower, washed up, and went to sleep.
By the next day, I hadn't received any news of Fu Yanshen being injured, so that bastard was fine.
For the next two or three days, Beichen came to the company to see me every day, following me almost from morning until I got off work. He said he wanted to see if I was really good at being a boss, or if I was just all talk and no action.
"Not only is he a real boss, but he's also a boss who knows how to increase revenue and reduce expenditure; he's very frugal."
Beichen commented as follows after seeing that our company uses both sides of the printing paper.
After following me for three days, he was called away by Grandpa Sheng. I don't know exactly why he was called away. Perhaps it was because he saw that Beichen now had his own business empire and recognized his abilities, so he wanted him to go back and become the heir.
Grandpa Sheng always followed the law of the jungle—survival of the fittest—in educating his children and grandchildren.
...
Ouyang is preparing to return to Singapore in a couple of days. Before leaving, she invited me to have afternoon tea at the Xu family home to say goodbye to my best friend, Mrs. Xu.
While I was admiring the autumn flowers in the back garden, I ran into Xu Xun. He was carrying a briefcase and looked like he was on his way to the hospital.
"Dr. Xu, looks like it's another night shift tonight," I greeted him loudly.
When he saw me, he walked straight over, his brow slightly furrowed, and called me aside as if he had something to say.
"Dr. Xu, what happened?"
Xu Xun looked at me suspiciously, "Don't you... know?"
"What exactly happened?"
"It's that guy again. He's been in the hospital for three days, not eating or drinking, and even smoking in his ward." Xu Xun said, sounding annoyed.
As I listened to his words, my brow furrowed even more. Although he didn't say his name, I knew who he was.
Fu Yanshen... is in the hospital?
