In my past life, I, the wealthy daughter, was a stepping stone for Fu Yanshen, who came from a bodyguard background and transcended social classes.
I was a tool to highlight his deep affectio...
When did he recognize me?
The heat from the gun barrel was almost burning the human skin mask on my face. I turned my head with difficulty to look at him.
Behind him, Fu Yanshen pursed his lips, his eyes gradually turning red, his sinister gaze filled with coldness, and his originally noble temperament turned sinister and perverse.
My heart sank. He thought that I had really done something with that "fiancé" and that's what triggered his illness!
At this moment, Fu Yanshen seemed to sense something, and he glanced at the doorway.
I was startled.
Leng Xiao will definitely bring his men to arrest us, right?
Before I could even speak, Fu Yanshen grabbed me, led me to the window, opened it, grabbed my waist, and flipped me out.
We jumped from the balcony to the balcony of the building next door and escaped down the stairs.
Soon, Fu Yanshen shoved me into a Ghost car parked by the roadside and drove off.
"Get rid of them!"
Fu Yanshen looked out the back window and gave a cold command.
He still held the gun in his hand, the veins on the back of his hand bulging, his expression somber, and he remained silent.
My heart was pounding the whole way, and I kept glancing out the rear window.
Unwittingly, she met Fu Yanshen's dark, furious face, which looked as if it were about to drip water.
"Fu Yanshen, I—"
"Mr. Fu, we've arrived."
Just as I was about to explain things to him, the driver stopped the car.
I was dragged by Fu Yanshen into the villa I rented when I was studying abroad. Through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, I saw that there were many bodyguards in black in the yard.
Seeing that there were guards, I felt much more at ease.
Fu Yanshen pulled me into the master bedroom where we had been intimate four years ago.
As soon as I went inside, his gun was pointed at my temple again.
I gasped.
"Sheng Qiaoqiao, what were you looking around for? Did you expect your fiancé to come and save you?" As he spoke, he gripped my chin with his thumb and forefinger, his face ashen.
"Sheng Qiaoqiao, do you really think I won't kill you?"
He continued, each word seemingly squeezed out from between his teeth, as if filled with hatred for me.
My heart ached. He recognized me, but instead of thinking about why I had become like this, he actually thought I would betray him.
How did he become like this?
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw his finger already on the trigger of the pistol, and my heart sank. "Fu Yanshen, it's not what you think! That person was actually Leng Xiao in disguise! He was controlling me the whole time!"
In my desperation, I blurted it all out.
He actually intended to kill me, and he wasn't faking it.
I was afraid that if I didn't speak up, he would lose control in his madness and actually kill me.
Fu Yanshen paused, his dark eyes scanning me suspiciously, his chest heaving violently.
I grabbed one of his arms, shook it, and explained to him again:
"Two years ago, it was Old Ye who orchestrated my fake death. He had Leng Xiao control me, turning me into this, preventing me from returning to China and from recognizing you!"
Fu Yanshen's Adam's apple bobbed, and his expression softened somewhat.
I breathed a sigh of relief.
Suddenly, the muzzle of his gun was pressed against my temple again. "Why did he make you fake your death? Why didn't you contact me? Two years... You could have called me!"
Fu Yanshen was almost gritting his teeth, his whites of his eyes bloodshot.
His erratic behavior suggested he was in a state of stress.
"Fu Yanshen, calm down and let me explain, okay?" I said in a softer tone to comfort him.
"No matter how I explain, it's no use... You have no heart for me!" he said, clenching his teeth tightly.
He gradually lowered the pistol, and the murderous aura around him visibly dissipated.
Hearing him say that, I lightly punched his chest with my fist, then buried my face in his chest.
"Fu Yanshen! I cooperated with them for your sake!"
I finished speaking loudly and looked up at him.
Fu Yanshen also looked at me, his eyes narrowed, as if he didn't believe me.
"Two years ago, you stabbed Sheng Beichen and faced imprisonment. You would have been fine, but Old Ye interfered. He kidnapped me and forced me to cooperate with them in faking my death in a car accident. Otherwise, he would have put you in jail."
"I didn't want anything to happen to you, so I agreed to their terms."
As I spoke, my eyes welled up with tears, and I choked up.
Her blurred vision stared intently at him, who was so close to her, tears rolling down her cheeks and onto her lips.
Two years, more than seven hundred days and nights. I'm fine during the day, but I miss him every night.
That bastard actually said I had no feelings for him!
I punched him in the chest in anger.
"Have you been frequently invited for tea these past two years? They're deliberately messing with you and taking advantage of me!" I complained bitterly to him again.
Fu Yanshen stared at me silently, his thin lips pressed into a thin line, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
He looked very angry. Was he unmoved when he learned of my predicament in faking my death?
“I gave up everything in China, changed my name and appearance, all because I was afraid something would happen to you. Tell me, do I have any feelings for you?” I accused him again, and even kicked his shin slightly.
Ultimately, they didn't want to exert themselves too much.
Fu Yanshen's Adam's apple bobbed, and he glared at me coldly, "You have no heart."
Upon hearing this, I was terrified.
He actually thinks I don't care about him!
The man's face was dark and his eyes were like steel nails, as if he wanted to pierce through me.
"Sheng Qiaoqiao, did I give you permission to sacrifice yourself for me? Do you think I could live if you died? You presumptuous bastard!"
