Bai Xizhu only survived three years in the apocalypse before she died. Returning to before the apocalypse, she accidentally activated a portable space, which came with ancient mythical beasts from ...
"What else did you dream about?"
Bai Xizhu looked at Leng Yebai's slightly reddened eyes, and her heart pounded.
"I can only see you in my dreams."
Leng Yebai said softly.
In his dream, the faces of the researchers were all blurry, but Bai Xizhu's face was firmly imprinted in his mind, impossible to erase.
"Okay! I'll confess." Bai Xizhu took a deep breath. "Actually, I was reborn."
Was that scene real?
Leng Yebai's fingers tightened slightly, and a hint of ferocity flashed in his eyes.
The endless regret and despair from the dream suddenly enveloped my heart.
Bai Xizhu gently patted the seat next to her and smiled warmly, "Would you like to sit here and listen to me?"
When Leng Yebai met those bright eyes, his heart skipped a beat, and he realized that his hand was still on her shoulder.
As if electrocuted, Leng Yebai quickly withdrew his finger, a hint of unease flashing across his face, and sat awkwardly next to Bai Xizhu.
"You, you say it."
Leng Yebai stammered slightly, but his fingers unconsciously rubbed together.
"After the apocalypse, zombies and mutated animals and plants were everywhere, and humanity's position was in grave danger. Powerful superhumans established bases, but even with such a strong threat, humanity could not unite. A special organization specifically targeted powerful superhumans..."
Bai Xizhu calmly recounted the events that occurred in the apocalypse, even mentioning that she had a spatial dimension after her rebirth.
Leng Yebai looked at Bai Xizhu quietly, his eyes filled with complex emotions.
“Later, I felt that our brains would definitely be dissected, so I self-destructed!” Bai Xizhu looked at Leng Yebai, “The scene in your dream should be the days when we were trapped in the research institute.”
"So, all of that is true?"
Leng Yebai slowly closed his eyes, the regret and despair from his dream welling up in his heart.
"Yes!" Bai Xizhu smiled gently. "This time, you have to be careful not to get caught by them."
Leng Yebai opened his eyes and stared intently into those dark eyes, saying, "Don't worry, this time, I won't give them that chance."
Bang bang bang!
Bai Xizhu's heart started pounding uncontrollably.
"Ahem, this time we're going to raid their lair!" Bai Xizhu awkwardly shifted her gaze, looking ahead, and said, "Don't forget to stockpile plenty of supplies."
"Alright!" Leng Yebai nodded slightly, then asked, "You've told me so much, aren't you afraid I'll arrest you?"
Since they were captured in their previous life because of their powerful abilities, why aren't they more careful this time?
She told him so much!
This is really worrying!
"Because we've known each other for a long time!"
Bai Xizhu tilted her head and gave Leng Yebai a smile.
In the apocalypse, he saved her.
Later, even though he could have run away on his own, he carried her, this burden, on his back.
This can be considered living and dying together!
Leng Yebai's heart skipped a beat when he saw the smile in front of him.
After a long while, a smile appeared on Leng Yebai's usually aloof face.
"We have indeed known each other for a very, very long time..."
Leng Yebai couldn't help but smile; he had never felt so good.
On one of the busiest streets.
Bai Xizhu held various snacks in her hands, her mouth bulging like a hamster's.
Leng Yebai was dressed in a restrained suit, but he was carrying a bunch of random things in his hands and a large plush teddy bear on his back.
The teddy bear was tied to Leng Yebai's back with a rope, and the cute and silly teddy bear was stared at by several passing children.
"White ramie".
Leng Yebai looked at Bai Xizhu's retreating figure and called out softly.
"What is it you wish to report?"
Bai Xizhu turned around and raised an eyebrow at Leng Yebai, who was dressed in a cumbersome manner.
I'm hungry.
Leng Yebai stared at Bai Xizhu's chubby cheeks, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly.
Bai Xizhu glanced at the various snacks in her hand, "Which one do you want?"
Leng Yebai looked at Bai Xizhu without saying a word, a slight smile playing on his lips, his usually aloof eyes curving into a smile.
Bai Xizhu felt slightly uncomfortable under Leng Yebai's gaze, so she picked out a jianbing guozi (Chinese crepe) from among the various snacks and stuffed it into Leng Yebai's mouth.
"Eat up! Call me when you're done!"
Bai Xizhu grinned, ignoring whether Leng Yebai could free his hands, and continued to devour the snacks.
Leng Yebai: ...
Leng Yebai glanced at Bai Xizhu with a resentful look, silently clutching the things in his hands to his chest, barely freeing one hand.
After he confessed, his relationship with her did improve a lot.
However, it seems that I still need to try harder!
Leng Yebai sighed softly, carrying the huge teddy bear on his back and following behind Bai Xizhu, acting as a laborer.
"White ramie".
Leng Yebai called Bai Xizhu's name softly again.
"What is it you wish to report?"
Bai Xizhu asked, a candied hawthorn dangling from her mouth.
"No, it's nothing. Were you close with that boy today?"
Leng Yebai looked slightly flustered, but his eyes were fixed on Bai Xizhu's expression.
“Those were my classmates, and we got along really well,” Bai Xizhu recalled.
University life is relaxed and enjoyable. Without the burden of studying, there is more time to communicate with classmates, and the relationships naturally become better.
Of course, there are also students who don't fit in, but they are only a small minority.
How good is their relationship?
Leng Yebai lowered his eyes, exuding a faint chill.
