Bai Xizhu and Leng Yebai walked towards the base building.

They planned to find the base chief, who had taken several eighth-tier crystal cores last time, presumably to enhance his abilities.

Since the base chief already knows about Bai Xizhu's space, why not let him improve his abilities within it?

This way, the breakthrough won't be too painful, and the chances of success are greater.

The two went to the security base building but found nothing; they did not see the base commander.

They went to the base chief's old villa again, but the basement door wouldn't open no matter how hard they tried.

Leng Yebai did not choose to disturb the base chief, and left the villa by Bai Xizhu's hand.

So they "sparred" with the Taotie in the space.

It was supposed to be a friendly sparring match, but it was really just the Taotie lying down and sleeping while Bai Anhai attacked.

Outside the space —

Leng Yebai pedaled very fast. When he broke through to the fifth level of superpower, his physical fitness was much better than when he was at the fourth level.

My senses and physical abilities have also improved a lot, and I can see several hideous zombies in the distance.

At a distance of about fifty meters, Leng Yebai could clearly see the rotting flesh on their faces.

Frosty needles appeared out of thin air under the scorching sun and flew rapidly toward several hideous zombies in the distance.

The distance to a human face is too great for the naked eye to see clearly. The ice needles, moving at full speed, pierced straight into the zombie's temple.

That's just how it is. Whether the butcher or the vendor sells or not, there will always be someone else buying, and someone else selling.

The butcher stall owner hasn't been in the safe base for the past few days, so I figured I might as well go and visit him and hone my newly improved abilities.
