Bai Xizhu only survived three years in the apocalypse before she died. Returning to before the apocalypse, she accidentally activated a portable space, which came with ancient mythical beasts from ...
"Now you want to talk this out? You weren't like this just now!"
The base chief's lips curled down, and he showed no courtesy to anyone. His supernatural power surged intensely as he relentlessly crushed the villagers.
A tremendous sense of crisis instantly enveloped everyone's hearts, and coupled with the fact that their bodies were being firmly suppressed by an invisible force, making them unable to move, everyone's face turned deathly pale.
He always felt that his life or death was in the hands of this group of people.
"It's a misunderstanding, it's all a misunderstanding! Let's talk this out, we must have mistaken you for someone else."
The middle-aged man forced a smile, but he was on the verge of tears.
"Oh!"
The base commander sneered, his oppressive aura still emanating from him.
It's impossible to kill so many villagers directly, but the base commander would be happy to scare them.
If the Bai family members weren't skilled enough, they might have died at the hands of these people without even knowing why!
Just as the Bai family was about to ask the middle-aged man why the villagers harbored such deep hostility towards them, a chubby girl ran over from a distance.
"Yes, I'm sorry! Please, please let the village chief and the others go!"
The girl looked to be only in her early twenties, a bit plumper than the average girl, and had shallow dimples when she spoke.
Her golden hair was fluffy and long, naturally draped over her shoulders, giving her a very comfortable look.
Her face was filled with anxiety and tension. As soon as she arrived, she bowed deeply to the Bai family.
"What's going on with the people in your village?"
Bai Xizhu asked.
The girl in front of me gave off a very sincere feeling, not the kind of face that looked cunning at first glance.
"Hello, we've actually met before. You rescued us from the bus near that town where there was zombie blood everywhere, which gave us the chance to escape."
The chubby girl spoke with eyes full of gratitude.
"So this is the person who saved you! It's really like family members don't recognize each other. How about we have breakfast together?"
Before the chubby girl could finish speaking, the middle-aged man immediately interrupted her.
"Don't speak, we saved you?"
Bai Xizhu frowned, finding the middle-aged man extremely noisy. She tightened her control over him and turned to continue asking the chubby girl.
"Are you the girls from that car?"
She remembered that before her family came to Shanghai, they had gone to punish evil and promote good. The evil boy in the town had kidnapped many girls, but the Bai family had rescued them all.
The day before that, Bai Yifan disguised himself as a woman to lure out human traffickers, where he encountered Wang Ge. Wang Ge killed the human traffickers and happened to rescue a group of girls from a car.
It must have been that time.
That happened a long time ago.
Bai Xizhu was simply trying to save lives; she had no idea why her own family members had become villains.
"Yes! My name is Zhang Ping, and this is Zhang, the village chief of our village, and also the father of Zhang Xiaoying, a girl who was rescued at the same time."
The plump Zhang Ping pointed to the middle-aged man at the head of the group, and her eyes dimmed considerably when she mentioned Zhang Xiaoying.
Why did they just call us bad people?
Bai Xizhu glanced at the surrounding villagers. The villagers were suppressed by the base leader's imposing aura and were filled with fear, but their eyes were still full of resentment when they looked at the Bai family.
"When we came back, we encountered a group of zombies. All the other girls were dead, and only Xiaoying and I were left."
As Zhang Ping spoke, her eyes drooped slightly, her face filled with sorrow.
"so what?"
Bai Xizhu's brows furrowed even deeper.
Xiaoying believes that if you had brought us back or rescued us an hour later, we might not have encountered the zombie horde, and the girls in the village wouldn't have died.
Zhang Ping bowed again to the Bai family with a face full of apology.
"I'm sorry, we shouldn't have been so ungrateful."
Bai Xizhu was stunned for a moment, and it took her a while to understand what Zhang Ping meant.
So they rescued the wrong person?
"Heh, you think you can go into that town smeared with zombie blood and come out alive? You'll all die!"
Liu Jing was also furious.
Although those demons were young, they had plenty of ways to torture people, and so many girls died there that they couldn't be counted on one hand.
The girl who managed to escape from there is incredibly lucky.
The girl in the car and her younger sister were rescued on the way to the town, which was incredibly lucky.
If you encounter zombies on your way home and die in their mouths, you're incredibly lucky!
Given the circumstances at the time, entering the town was truly a living hell.
"I know, I know! I'm sorry!"
Zhang Ping blushed after Liu Jing's words and, at a loss for words, bowed to Liu Jing again to apologize.
"Does everyone in your village think that way?"
Bai Zhengxuan squinted at the crowd, a hint of hostility in his eyes.
What an ungrateful bunch!
The zombie killed a girl in the village, so what's with going to find the zombie and the Bai family?!
"No, no, no, it's not that. Everyone has misunderstood. It will be fine once it's explained."
Zhang Ping was so anxious that tears were almost welling up in her eyes.
He looked at the middle-aged man in front of him, hesitated, and wanted to say something, but seeing the warning look in the man's eyes, he dared not say anything.
"Dad, what are you doing! Why haven't you killed them all yet!"
