Bai Xizhu only survived three years in the apocalypse before she died. Returning to before the apocalypse, she accidentally activated a portable space, which came with ancient mythical beasts from ...
"It seems that Captain Zhang is more self-controlled than you."
Leng Yebai's voice was somewhat cold and unreadable, revealing no emotion whatsoever.
But only Leng Yebai himself knew that he was in a very bad mood.
He possesses brainwaves; if he also had Captain Zhang's immense power, all of this would be easily resolved.
He was still too weak.
His sixth-tier superpower already put him ahead of the vast majority of superpowered individuals worldwide, but he still felt it wasn't enough.
He needs to become stronger so that his family will be safe from any threat.
This time Captain Zhang went all out, but what about next time?
Could it be the base commander, or Xiao Zhu?
Leng Yebai clenched his fist slightly, and purple lightning emanating from his fingertips occasionally struck the beach.
A buzzing sound rang out.
"As the captain of the Human Survivors Alliance, he has done everything he could."
Aside from the Bai family, Zhang Yiming rarely gives such high praise to anyone.
The two of them took turns saying a few words, and then added something else every now and then.
Suddenly, the two looked in the same direction and then walked into the sea.
In the unseen darkness, a black figure darted out of the seabed and lay face up in the water.
His human-like body lay still, not moving, as Zhang Yiming and Leng Yebai pulled him out of the sea.
"I said, what bad things did you say about me while I was away?"
A very hoarse voice came from within the humanoid body.
Weak, yet with a hint of cunning.
"I'm praising you!"
Leng Yebai held the humanoid body in one hand, feeling the icy coldness all over his hand.
For a moment, it was impossible to tell whether it was the cold seawater, the cold body, or the cold blood.
I always feel cold everywhere.
"Oh, thank you for the compliment."
The hoarse voice rang out again, and when he said thank you, there wasn't a trace of emotion in it.
For the first time, Zhang Yiming and Leng Yebai were so united. They carried the bodies and quickly reached the shore.
"Sorry, you've put my arm in the wrong position. Could you please switch my left and right arms?"
Captain Zhang lay on the ground, his face deathly pale in the darkness, the rest of his body completely black.
It was unclear whether it was due to the darkness of the night or the black blood of the zombies on his body.
Leng Yebai paused for a moment, then bent down to straighten Captain Zhang's limbs.
It took a while to manage to piece together a human-shaped pattern.
No one knows what Captain Zhang experienced underwater, nor does anyone know who he fought such a tragic battle with.
Zhang Yiming and Leng Yebai only knew that the seabed had returned to calm, and apart from a few old guys still hiding well in their lair at the deepest part of the sea, all the other giant zombie marine creatures were—annihilated.
The man who had stirred up the seabed was now lying on the ground, barely recognizable as a human.
He exuded a strong stench of decay.
Blood and gore.
Leng Yebai took a crystal core out of his pocket and placed it in Captain Zhang's palm.
After thinking for a moment, he placed the crystal core on Captain Zhang's chest.
Both arms were severely torn, making it impossible for them to absorb the crystal cores.
"Why don't you just put it in my mouth!"
Captain Zhang lay on the ground like a human pig, his voice calm, devoid of any emotion except for a slight hoarseness.
The sand beneath his body was already soaked with the black blood flowing from his body.
Leng Yebai did as instructed.
One by one, the crystal cores turned into dust, and Captain Zhang's battered body slowly returned to its original state.
Zombies have abnormal and powerful regenerative abilities.
When the sun shone on the beach again, Captain Zhang had already stood up.
His clothes were tattered, and his arms and legs were bare, but they looked clean and spotless.
Her skin was fairer, and her overall demeanor looked more alluring.
The gold-rimmed glasses were gone, and the refined air about him had been replaced by a fierce aura.
That wasn't a deliberately emitted aggression, but rather an instinct hidden deep within one's bones.
Her temperament is exactly the same as Zhang Yiming's.
When they stand together, they look completely different, but they somehow seem to be cut from the same mold.
Especially her temperament.
"It's nice to be able to see the sunlight, but it's a bit of a pity, it's still not as good as you."
Captain Zhang glanced lazily at the sun, but his tone showed no regret whatsoever.
He seemed to have lost all sense of regret.
Only one obsession remained in his mind: to complete the task he had not yet finished.
It's like a machine that has already been destroyed, but still manages to fulfill its mission while barely clinging to life.
"That's no longer important; the world is in your hands."
Zhang Yiming spoke calmly.
The difference between zombies lies in the strength of their brainwaves.
Even now, Zhang Yiming remains the zombie with the most powerful brainwaves, and is still the emperor among zombies.
However, Captain Zhang also possesses powerful brainwaves, second only to Zhang Yiming, and also has powerful superpowers.
If Zhang Yiming and Captain Zhang were to actually fight, Captain Zhang might be able to overcome his fear in a short time and fight back against Zhang Yiming.
The outcome is difficult to predict.
This is why Captain Zhang dared to cooperate with Zhang Yiming in the first place.
He wasn't afraid that Zhang Yiming would go back on his word and tear up the agreement, because he would use himself to counter this unknown.
