Chapter 274: Cute Baby Outwits the Old Man

After a hearty meal at the Demon Cult's headquarters, Jiang Xiaohuang contentedly rubbed her plump belly, looking like a bear that had just snatched some honey. Suddenly, as if remembering something extremely important, she jerked her head up to look at Mo Chen, who was conversing with the Cult Leader, and asked loudly, "Mo Chen, do you think there's a number one bun shop in the world?"

Mo Chen was concentrating on talking to the leader when she suddenly interrupted him. He turned his head helplessly, glanced at her, and said, "Xiao Huang, let's get down to business first."

The leader couldn't help but smile as he looked at Jiang Xiaohuang's innocent yet gluttonous appearance. He felt that although this girl's mind was full of food, her heart was as kind as the warmest sunshine on a spring day, and she was incredibly brave, as if she could face the sky falling with ease. The leader couldn't help but smile and said to Jiang Xiaohuang, "Girl, since you are so obsessed with eating the best buns in the world, I can tell you a secret."

When Jiang Xiaohuang heard this, her eyes instantly lit up like the twinkling stars in the night sky. She couldn't wait to get close to the leader and asked anxiously, "What's the secret? Grandpa, tell me quickly!"

"Legend has it that eating the buns from the world's number one bun shop can grant immortality," the leader said slowly, a hint of mystery in his eyes, as if he were recounting a legendary tale that would be passed down through the ages. "However, after so many years, no one knows where it is. It is said that only those who are destined to find it can be lucky enough to find it."

When Jiang Xiaohuang heard the word "immortality", her eyes widened even more and she said excitedly, "Immortality? That's fantastic! I must bring some back for my grandma and my parents to try!"

Mo Chen looked at Jiang Xiaohuang's innocent and joyful expression, and his heart couldn't help but move slightly. He couldn't help but think of his seriously ill mother. If he could really find the legendary immortality bun, would it be possible to free his mother from the torment of her illness and restore her health?

"Master, do you know how to find this bun shop?" Mo Chen asked with anticipation in his eyes.

The leader shook his head slightly and said with a hint of regret, "I don't know. But I can give you a clue - I heard that the owner of that bun shop is surnamed Bao."

Jiang Xiaohuang and Mo Chen looked at each other, feeling somewhat helpless. This clue didn't sound like it would be of much use.

"Thank you, Grandpa Leader!" Although the clue was a little vague, Jiang Xiaohuang still thanked the leader politely.

After bidding farewell to the Demon Cult's headquarters, Jiang Xiaohuang and Mo Chen, clinging to a glimmer of hope, continued their journey to find the bun shop. They crisscrossed the streets and alleys, asking everyone they met for the whereabouts of the world's best bun shop. However, as the days passed, they only received shakes of the head and denials, and disappointment gradually accumulated in their hearts.

One day, they arrived at a bustling, bustling town. Jiang Xiaohuang's attention was suddenly drawn to a steamed bun shop. The sign read "Bao Ji Bao Zi" in large letters. Her eyes lit up, a glimmer of hope ignited in her heart, and she rushed into the shop like a happy little deer.

"Boss, do you have any buns that can make people live forever?" Jiang Xiaohuang asked loudly and impatiently as soon as she entered the door.

The busy boss was so frightened when he heard this that he almost dropped the buns in his hand. He looked at Jiang Xiaohuang in surprise, as if he had seen an alien, and said, "Little girl, what nonsense are you talking about? There is no such thing as an immortal bun."

Seeing this, Mo Chen quickly stepped forward, gently pulled Jiang Xiaohuang, and said, "Xiaohuang, don't scare the boss."

The two of them reluctantly walked out of the bun shop and onto the bustling street. Jiang Xiaohuang was dejected, her once lively eyes dimming considerably as she muttered, "Where on earth is this number one bun shop in the world? Why is it so hard to find?"

Mo Chen looked at her lost look, feeling a little distressed, and softly comforted her: "Don't worry, Xiao Huang, we will look for it slowly, and we will find it eventually."

Just then, they saw a group of people gathered not far ahead, all looking at something with great interest. Jiang Xiaohuang, already a curious person, immediately perked up and, like a nimble little fish, squeezed in. Sitting in the crowd was a fortune teller, with a sign in front of him that read "Bao Banxian."

"Bao Banxian?" Jiang Xiaohuang's eyes lit up again, and an inexplicable expectation surged in her heart. "Could it be that he knows where the bun shop is?"

Thinking of this, she immediately stepped forward without hesitation and asked anxiously, "Bao Banxian, do you know where the best bun shop in the world is?"

Bao Banxian looked up at her, twirling his beard slowly, and said mysteriously, "Little girl, the secret cannot be revealed."

Jiang Xiaohuang couldn't help curling her lips when she heard this, and said disdainfully: "Forget it, I don't believe I can't find it!"

Mo Chen, however, thought Bao Banxian looked a bit odd, so he quietly observed him. Soon, he noticed a piece of black fabric peeking out from Bao Banxian's sleeves. The texture and color of the fabric were surprisingly similar to the clothing of the Demon Cult.

"Xiaohuang, let's go." Mo Chen became alert and reached out to pull Jiang Xiaohuang.

The two had not gone far when they heard Bao Banxian calling out from behind, "Please stay, both of you. I see that your foreheads are shining, so you will surely have an adventure soon."

Jiang Xiaohuang couldn't help but turn around and asked curiously, "What adventure?"

"The best bun shop in the world you're looking for," Bao Banxian said mysteriously, deliberately lowering his voice, "is on the mountain ahead."
