A polymath synth artist defies her parents' plans by casting a scarlet fingernail into a nest of mummified womb-senators.
Upon its removal, the urn erupts, seven scaly impure miners surge...
When Fu Hange woke up again, she found herself in a different scene.
She is a semi-transparent entity.
Inside the magnificent palace stood a man and a woman. The woman's long, black hair was tied up behind her head, and her purple dress was enough to make anyone's heart flutter. The man was clad in golden armor, and his features exuded an air of noble bearing.
She called out to Azi, but Azi acted as if she hadn't heard her and continued to look at the man in front of her, Shi Qi.
This was the first time Fu Hange had met Shi Qi, and his appearance was so good that Fu Hange couldn't find the words to describe it.
Azi said, "Are you Shi Qi, the one who came to teach me poetry and literature?"
"yes."
Azi was overjoyed and stared at Shi Qi for more than a minute. Fu Hange believed that Azi must have fallen for him then and was deeply infatuated with him.
Shi Qi was originally the son of the Prime Minister, but he was merely ordered by the Emperor of Ling Dynasty to teach A Zi poetry and literature. Two lines that should never have intersected did, but neither of them knew that it would end badly.
The scene suddenly shifted again, and Fu Hange saw a garden in front of her. There was a swing by the stream, and the swing was swaying slightly. Azi was sitting on it, dozing off, but a smile could be vaguely seen on her lips.
Then Shi Qi came over and gently pushed A Zi from behind, but she was unaware of it and was still lost in her own beautiful dream.
Then, another woman appeared in their line of sight. Although she was not as beautiful as Azi, she still had a certain liveliness to her.
She is Xixi.
Upon seeing her, Shi Qiyi immediately stopped what she was doing, ran over, and took Xi Xi's hand, saying, "Why are you here?"
Xi Xi wiped the sweat from Shi Qi's forehead with her hand, her voice as sweet as glutinous rice: "Are you tired?"
How could I be tired when you come to see me?
Xi Xi laughed and pulled Shi Qi towards the depths of the garden. The two laughed loudly all the way. If this were modern times, they would look like two lovers who are in love and have just fallen in love.
Little did they know, Ah Zi opened her eyes at that moment.
The scene shifts again to a grand palace, where Azi sits in front of her dressing table, wearing a light purple robe, lost in thought.
Fu Hange really wanted to go up and ask her what was wrong, but she forgot that she had no way of communicating with her.
A maidservant came up and asked, "Princess, what's wrong?"
Azi's eyes were filled with melancholy. She rested her head on her hand and sighed, "Tell me, am I not good enough?"
"The princess is of noble birth, how could she not be well?"
Azi's eyes quickly reddened, and she turned to look at the maid pitifully, asking, "Then why doesn't he like it?"
The maid was stunned.
Fu Hange felt sorry for the girl. If that man didn't love her, why didn't she leave sooner?
Azi murmured again, "He spent so much time with me, but in the end he fell in love with someone else. Tell me, how pathetic am I?"
“When I was born, my father and mother told me that they would marry me to the best man in the world. They went to find a good man for me, but I didn’t want anyone but him.”
By the end, Azi had choked up and couldn't utter a sound.
Fu Hange understood that feeling, the feeling of loving someone but not loving them back. It was like being a lamb awaiting judgment, a living hell.
Azi continued, "I don't know why I like him so much, but I just like him, for no reason at all. If it's not him in the end, I don't think I'll have the courage to go on living."
