Gu Minhang rested his head on her shoulder, his breath spraying against her ear.

It feels damp and hot, and a little itchy.

Liu Nian subconsciously turned her head to the side: "It's a little itchy."

Gu Minhang ignored her and carried her to the bedside.

"Aren't you tired? I'm a little tired too, shall I lie down and rest?"

Liu Nian: "..." This isn't good!

However, Gu Minhang didn't need to wait for her answer. He simply pulled her down to lie on his back and covered them both with a blanket.

"I've never held you while sleeping before, let me hold you."

With a groan, she quickly got up and went to the mirror, only to find that her hair was all messed up because she had been sleeping.

She stopped worrying about it. Since the guests had all left, she loosened her hair and quickly combed it with the comb provided by the hotel. She then noticed that her makeup was a bit smudged and wanted to wash it off, but found that she didn't have any makeup remover.

I glanced at the time; it was 5:30 PM. She had slept for more than an hour!

She didn't call Gu Minhang, but called Liuxing instead.

Before Meteor left, she prepared two dresses for her, and they should be in the room she booked.

Meteor moved quickly and knocked on the door in no time.

"Sis, did you bring any makeup remover?"

Meteor shook her head: "I didn't bring it. I think your makeup is still okay. You can just touch it up."

Finally, Liu Nian changed out of her cheongsam and put on a long white fitted dress and a coat. Liu Xing then touched up her makeup before the two went downstairs.

When they came downstairs, most of the guests had already left.

Liu Nian smiled apologetically at the last few departing guests.

It was supposed to be her engagement party with Gu Minhang, but in the end, only Gu Minhang saw the guests off, which was a little awkward.

After the guests left, Gu Minhang came directly to find her.

"We're going home tonight, not to our ancestral home."

Liu Nian glanced at Liu Yansheng, and only after seeing him nod did she follow Gu Minhang.

After saying goodbye to Mr. Gu and the others, Gu Minhang's driver was waiting downstairs.

Upon arrival, after the driver left, the two went upstairs. Gu Minhang didn't let Liu Nian go back to her floor, but instead followed him to the 24th floor.

He hadn't had time to change his clothes yet, so he changed first, and then took Liu Nian to the supermarket to buy groceries.

Many people recognized them as the protagonists of today's engagement, which had become the talk of the town. I chatted with them briefly and offered my blessings.

Liu Nian had no idea how big Gu Minhang's pockets were or when he had put the candy in them. Whenever someone came up to chat and offer blessings, he would take out a few candies and give them to them.

When paying the bill, Liu Nian couldn't help but reach into his hoodie pocket and, wow, it was full of candies of different shapes.

How much candy did you stuff in your pocket?!

"Not many, only two or three packs when I took them."

The cashier at the checkout had obviously seen the live stream today; after settling their bill, she smiled and wished them well.

"You two are the main characters of today's engagement! You look even better in person than on the live stream."

Gu Minhang took out another handful of candy and placed it on the cashier's counter for her, politely thanking her: "Thank you."

Gu Minhang was in a good mood and held Liu Nian's hand tightly, reluctant to let go, until they got home and he was about to cook dinner before letting go.

As they went up the stairs, Gu Minhang tentatively asked, "Niannian, how about we combine the two floors?"

Without a second thought, Liu Nian refused: "It's not very good."

Gu Minhang said coquettishly, "But I want to be with you every moment."

As they were talking, the two arrived at the 25th floor.

"You'll get tired of being together all the time."

He deftly entered the password to open the door and went inside.

Gu Minhang followed behind her and changed his shoes as well.
