He paused, brushed his thin lips against her hair, and said in a muffled voice with a childlike capriciousness, "I really want to skip this and take my Qianqian out for a walk."

"There's a newly opened art museum that I've heard is quite good."

Su Qianqian was gulping down water when she heard this and almost choked.

She spat out the water, picked up a towel to wipe her mouth, turned around, and looked up at him with her delicate, tender face, her clear eyes filled with disapproval:

"That won't do, I don't have time to go out and play with you."

She stretched out her slender, white finger and gently poked his hard chest, like scolding a big, unruly puppy:

"Besides, you need to focus on making money in your meetings, otherwise you won't be able to afford to pay for my ten dresses."

Gu Chengyu was amused by her. What made her think that he needed to work hard to attend meetings in order to earn money?

He caught her mischievous fingers, kissed them, his eyes filled with affection, and went along with what she said:

"Okay, okay, I'll make money from meetings to support my little fairy."

Gu Chengyu thought for a moment, then lowered his head, his forehead touching hers, his nose brushing against her pert nose.

His voice was lower and softer, with a coaxing quality:

"How about you come to work with me? You can stay in the office with me all day, okay?"

He imagined the little girl curled up in his large executive chair or quietly sitting on the sofa in the lounge, and his heart swelled with emotion.

Su Qianqian shook her head firmly, rubbed her face against his, and said in a soft and obedient voice, "No, go and do your important business."

"And today I have to go home to choose a script and prepare for the audition. There's still a lot to think about."

She lifted her face and gave him a quick peck on the chin, as if to comfort him: "I'll wait for you to come back tonight."

That fleeting kiss, coupled with that soft, sweet "Waiting for you to come back," instantly softened Gu Chengyu's heart yet made him grit his teeth; he was truly under her spell.

He said in a low voice, "You little ingrate, all you do is act cute."

"You've been gone for so long, and you won't even spend a day with me."

"Just you wait, I won't let you off so easily tonight."

After saying that, he slapped her hard on the tip of her head before letting go of her.

Su Qianqian put her hands behind her back, covering the spot where he had patted her.

Her face flushed red as she glared at him, muttering, "You pervert!"

Gu Chengyu found it amusing, then glanced at his watch; it was getting late.

He straightened his shirt cuffs, reverting to his usual aloof and dignified demeanor as a tycoon's son, and left with the words, "Stay home and behave yourself."

He then turned and strode away.

Su Qianqian watched Gu Chengyu's retreating figure and silently snorted in her heart.

She doesn't have that much time to spend with him; not everyone is as naturally gifted as him.

Although she is a little smarter than the average person, she still needs to work hard, unlike him.

However, he's becoming increasingly clingy.
