"Hey, beautiful oriental baby."
His speech was a little stiff, with a hint of flippancy, "Alone? Would you do me the honor of having a drink?"
A strong scent of perfume wafted over her, and Su Qianqian took a step back, her eyebrows furrowing slightly: "Sorry, I'm not very good at drinking."
“You can learn if you don’t know how…” The man smiled and took another step closer, even trying to put his hand on her waist.
Su Qianqian's face paled, and she was about to dodge when an arm moved faster than she could to sever the restless hand.
"Mr. Lawrence."
Shen appeared out of nowhere, a smile on his face as usual, but his eyes were cold. "Have you had too much to drink?"
His tone was casual, but the force in his hand made the foreign man grimace as he withdrew his hand.
"Young Master Shen..." Lawrence's expression changed several times before he finally forced a smile. "It's a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding. I was just joking with this young lady."
"Is that so?" Shen Que raised an eyebrow, took a step to the side, completely blocking Su Qianqian behind him, his voice lazy but carrying a sense of oppression.
“My artist is easily frightened and can’t take a scare. Your joke is probably not appropriate.”
Lawrence touched his nose sheepishly, said "Excuse me," and slunk away.
Shen Que then slowly turned around, his gaze falling on Su Qianqian, scrutinizing her from head to toe.
Even with Cheng Yu absent, the interest in his eyes was undisguised.
"Were you scared?"
Su Qianqian lowered her eyes, not looking at him, and muttered reluctantly, "Thank you for helping me out, Young Master Shen."
How should I thank you?
Shen Que leaned closer: "Just saying it isn't enough to show sincerity."
Su Qianqian finally raised her eyes, her almond-shaped eyes devoid of emotion, simply looking at him: "Then, Young Master Shen, what do you consider to be sincere?"
Shen Que chuckled softly, his gaze lingering on her delicate red lips before sliding down to her slender neck, his words carrying a hidden meaning: "That depends on what Miss Su is willing to offer."
He leaned too close, his voice low, tinged with a playful probing:
"For example, after the banquet, would you do me the honor of having a drink together alone?"
Su Qianqian could barely suppress the disgust in her heart.
What a dissolute!
What did he take her for? She was his brother's girlfriend, after all.
She calmly said, "You should save your wine for someone who needs it more."
Shen Que was stunned for a moment, clearly not expecting her to refuse so directly.
He looked at her beautiful eyes, which were clearly unhappy and seemed to say "stay away from me." Instead of being angry, he felt a growing interest in them.
So cute, so pretty.
Seeing that he was still standing in front of her and hadn't left, Su Qianqian took a step back to create some distance: "Young Master Shen, please excuse me."
Before he could speak again, she lifted her skirt, turned around, and gracefully walked towards the crowd, leaving behind a cool yet alluring silhouette.
Shen Que stood there, watching her swaying figure, and chuckled softly.
He sighed inwardly: even her little temper was so to his liking.
On the other side, Su Qianqian, with her black hair and snow-white skin, seemed somewhat aloof from the surrounding glitz and glamour, yet she firmly drew most people's attention.
She didn't forget the important matter of the evening and greeted several senior figures in the industry with grace and poise, including the film queen Qin Mo.
Qin Mo simply nodded and said, "Pay attention in class and don't keep asking for leave."
Su Qianqian blushed slightly, but responded with a calm smile.
After walking around the circle, she felt somewhat disheartened.
These so-called investors held little appeal for her.
After all, the biggest brand owner is based in her home.
She didn't need to deliberately please anyone, and she didn't want to waste time on pointless socializing. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
