Bai Yi also came to the hospital today. She bought some things and wanted to visit He Fen.

I also chatted with her about her relationship with Wang Ye.

Bai Yi knew that He Fen did this simply because of her; she wanted to tell He Fen her thoughts so that she would stop putting pressure on Wang Ye.

She was standing in front of the nurses' station, about to ask He Fen which ward she was in, when she heard Zhou Yi's voice.

"Nurse, may I ask you something..."

Bai Yi turned her head and saw that it really was Zhou Yi. She looked surprised and asked, "Attorney Zhou, what are you doing here?"

A hint of surprise flashed in Zhou Yi's eyes, and he said, "I've come to visit a colleague. What about you?"

“My husband’s mother is in the hospital, and I came to visit her.”

The two chatted briefly, and just then the nurse told Bai Yi which room He Fen's ward number was. She then said to Zhou Yi, "Then, Attorney Zhou, I'll be going now."

She tucked the stray hairs that had fallen across her face behind her ears, trying to suppress her trembling voice, "Auntie, I didn't do anything to betray Wang Ye."
