The heavy door of the box was pushed open.

Lin Shu stood at the door.

She didn't wear a fancy dress, but only a calf-length off-white windbreaker with a loose belt.

The light shone on her beautiful face. Her makeup was still delicate, but her eyes no longer had the arrogance of the past. Instead, they were filled with resentment and tenderness.

Gu Chengyu didn't even raise his eyelids, still playing with the burnt cigar on his fingertips, as if he didn't hear it.

The air stagnated for a moment.

The smile on Lin Shu's face froze, then deepened.

She actually walked directly to the carpet beside Gu Chengyu's feet, lowered herself very low, and slowly knelt down, like a rose clinging to a big tree.

She raised her head and looked at him with her beautiful eyes that were used to acting, and her voice was filled with the delicate and flattering tone of a little girl: "I'm sorry, Chengyu..."

"There was a traffic jam on the road, so I was late."

She reached out and tentatively tried to touch his other hand which was resting on his knee. "Please don't be mad at me, okay?"

There was a sudden burst of agreement and whistles in the box, and the atmosphere was instantly ignited.

Xia Wei and Zhou Wen exchanged a knowing look, with a smile on their faces as if they were looking forward to a good show.

Gu Chengyu finally moved.

He glanced coldly at Lin Shu at his feet, his eyes filled with obvious impatience: "Stop talking nonsense. What did I ask you to do? Have you forgotten?"

He just wanted to end this boring bet quickly and didn't want to stay even a second longer.

Lin Shu shrank back at the sight of his gaze, forcing herself to smile, but she moved her body closer to him, almost falling on his knees.

She looked up, her voice still sweet and delicate, but she made a suggestion that shocked the whole audience: "Don't be impatient. Of course you have to admit your mistake if you're late, but drinking a penalty is so boring."

Her eyes moved around, sweeping across the booing crowd around them, and finally looked at Chen Que with a desperate and charming look, "How about we do something fun?"

She paused, and under everyone's curious gaze, she opened her red lips slightly: "Second Master Shen, could you please lend me one of the beauties around you?"

"We played rock-paper-scissors, best-of-three. I lost..."

She stretched out her tone, gently hooked her fingers around the waistband of her trench coat, and looked provocatively, "I'll take one off in public! How about that?"

The entire box exploded instantly.

The whistles, cheers, and table-clapping sounds almost drowned out the music.

Even the female companions who were nestled in the young man's arms widened their eyes with surprise and contempt.

Lin Shu could no longer maintain her star-like airs and ended up becoming just like them.

The off-white windbreaker instantly opened to both sides.
