After dark, Gu Qingqing ate dinner and went back to her room to take a shower.

Seeing that Fu Jue hadn't arrived yet, she took out her laptop to play.

They would play for two hours straight.

Looking up, I realized it was already nine o'clock.

"Why isn't he here yet? Is he busy? I'm not waiting for him anymore, I'm going to sleep." Gu Qingqing closed her laptop, yawned, and stretched.

While she was still asleep, she was unaware that Fu Jue had already been caught by Gu Mu, who was lying in wait, on his way here.

Here's what happened: After taking a shower and changing into his handsome clothes, Fu Jue arrived at the back gate of the Gu residence at 8:30. With Gu Jin's help in remotely controlling the back gate's opening and closing, he was able to successfully enter the Gu residence through the back gate in the garden.

He sneaked up to the second floor through the back door of the villa, but just as he was about to get close to Gu Qingqing's room, Gu Mu suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Mr. Fu, you're here so late. Do you want some of my late-night snacks?"

Gu Mu crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, watching Fu Jue sneak upstairs.

"Good evening, Gu Mu. I, um, Gu Jin invited me to have a late-night snack." Fu Jue chuckled and touched his nose.

Adding to his embarrassment and nervousness was Gu Mu catching him in the act.

Gu Mu is always targeting him. Even though he's Gu Qingqing's boyfriend, he won't allow him to be intimate with her.

As for the engagement, he still hasn't dared to mention it to Gu Mu.

Gu Jin didn't object; as long as she was happy, that was fine with him.

Gu En probably thinks so too, so he's not worried that Gu En will object; on the contrary, Gu Mu is a difficult person to deal with.

"Come into my study." Gu Jin appeared and took Fu Jue away.

Gu Mu couldn't possibly stop Fu Jue, could he?

But after following them and seeing that they had actually entered Gu Jin's study, he turned around and went to the door of Gu Qingqing's room.

He didn't believe Fu Jue would behave himself tonight.

So he decided to continue his vigil tonight, determined to catch Fu Jue red-handed.

Gu Mu's legs were so tired from standing for so long that he could barely stand straight, but he waited until Fu Jue came out of Gu Jin's study.

The two looked at each other but said nothing.

Gu Jin saw Fu Jue to the door, and since no other problems arose, Gu Mu felt relieved and went back to her room to rest.

This made Fu Jue so angry that his lungs felt like they were about to explode. If he couldn't hold Gu Qingqing tonight, he probably wouldn't be able to come see her at night for a while.
