Transmigrated to become a mountain bandit? Well, it's like returning to my old profession. The mountain stronghold was as poor as could be, so we could only start developing the land to achieve...
It was a rare occasion for everyone to get together, so they drank freely. The liquor from beyond the Great Wall was much stronger and more pungent than that from within the Great Wall. By the end of the meal, all eight people I brought, except for Hua Bao and myself, were completely drunk.
"Haha, Lan-meimei, compared to the wine from your Guanzhong region, our wine from beyond the Great Wall is definitely more flavorful, isn't it?" Karen looked at Xiong Da and the others, who were in a daze, and turned to Mo Lan, extremely smug.
"You're right, the liquor here is indeed strong enough." Mo Lan glanced around, shook her head speechlessly, and realized she would have to go back and practice her drinking skills; she couldn't leave the house without being able to take it with her.
"Little sister, I'm not drunk." Hua Fengyu grinned as he looked at his sister's disappointed expression.
Mo Lan glanced at him, looking at his two red cheeks, and twitched her lips. "Let's talk about it when you can stand up."
"Little sister, I'm serious, I'm not drunk." Hua Fengyu said, picking up the mare's milk wine in front of him and gulping it down. Mo Lan's eyes twitched. She never knew her brother had such a silly side.
Karen glanced at Hua Fengyu's expression, a hint of amusement flashing in her eyes. Whether Hua Fengyu noticed or not, he glared at her angrily, "Karen, how dare you laugh at me?"
"Haha... If Anda says he's not drunk, then he's not drunk. I won't laugh at you." Karen stood up, walked over with a smile, and grabbed Hua Fengyu's arm. "I'll prepare a tent for Anda and take you there right away."
Mo Lan looked at her older brother. If she wasn't blind, it seemed like her older brother was just being affectionate.
As for Karen, she seems to have gotten used to it, enjoying it and indulging in it.
Mo Lan blinked; had she just been force-fed a mouthful of dog food right in front of her?
Thinking of this, she suddenly stood up. She stood up so fast that her head swayed, but fortunately, Hua Bao steadied her in time.
"I'll come too. You must have prepared tents for us as well, right?"
"Of course, I have already instructed the tribesmen to make arrangements, so don't worry, Lan-meimei." Karen turned to look at Mo Lan, chuckled as she instructed the tribesmen at the door, and then, supporting and carrying Hua Fengyu, dragged him toward the west tent.
Mo Lan stood at the door, opening her mouth as if wondering if she had unintentionally pushed her elder brother into the tiger's mouth.
"Miss, please come with me." The woman waiting nearby couldn't help but remind Mo Lan, who was looking dazed, and then called a few people to make sure Xiong Da and the others were settled.
Mo Lan sat in the tent, watching Hua Bao touch and look at everything with amazement in her eyes. She had never known that such a house existed.
"Miss, aren't you going to rest?"
"You rest first, I'll just get some fresh air at the door." Mo Lan said, lifting the curtain to go outside. The cold air rushed in, and after shivering, her mind did feel a bit clearer.
Looking at the dim light shining from the tent, and seeing that the campfire outside had already gone out, Mo Lan walked past the tents and reached the westernmost one. It seemed that her older brother, Karen, had turned into it.
Should she try to get him back?
Just as Mo Lan hesitated, Karen's voice rang out, "Good Anda, I didn't expect you to come see me?"
"Don't flatter yourself. Who wants to come see you? I came with my sister." Hua Fengyu said with a hint of coquettishness.
"It's alright, as long as I see Anda, that's all that matters. To tell you the truth, even if you hadn't come, I was already planning to visit you."
Karen murmured for a moment, then said, "The hot water is ready. I'll help Anda scrub his back."
