Hearing Nanzhi's wishes in person was more authentic and brought me more joy than hearing Mr. Shen describe them.

Shen Xingmian asked with a smile, "No regrets?"

Nanzhi shook her head with a grin.

Shen Xingmian then reached out and pinched her cheek, saying:

"I'll go in a bit."

Nanzhi was taken aback, looked up, and asked in confusion:

"Huh? Where to?"

Shen Xingmian said in a serious tone: "Civil Affairs Bureau."

Nanzhi: “…..”

She thought for a moment, then her eyes widened. "Huh? That's too fast!"

After a long while, a thought suddenly struck her, and she tentatively asked:

"Shen Xingmian, you don't think the Civil Affairs Bureau never closes, do you?"

Sure enough, as soon as she finished speaking, Nan Zhi felt the man beside her stiffen; she had clearly guessed correctly.

Nanzhi shrugged, lowered her head, and let out intermittent laughter.

In the end, they couldn't help but squat down, and their laughter grew louder and louder.

Shen Xingmian glanced down at her, his ear tips slightly red. He had simply forgotten for a moment; it wasn't that he didn't know.

She wiped away the tears of laughter from the corner of her eyes, then slowly stood up, glanced at Shen Xingmian, and suppressed a wide grin, "Oh, I see."

Shen Xingmian glanced at her briefly before coldly looking away. "What else?"

Nan Zhi looked up and glanced at him, her lips pursed, wondering what to do if she wanted to laugh.

The next moment, Shen Xingmian grabbed her hand and pulled Nanzhi forward. Nanzhi jogged a few steps to catch up with him.

"Hey, Shen Xingmian, where are you going?"

After walking for a while, Nanzhi realized that she was going the wrong way; this was not the way to the parking lot at all.

"The car is parked over there, did you go to the wrong place?"

After asking two questions, Shen Xingmian didn't answer. Nan Zhi tried to pull her hand away, but it was grabbed.

Shen Xingmian stopped at a hotel not far from the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Nanzhi: "..."

"You're not going to stay here tonight, are you?"

Nanzhi's expression was somewhat indescribable. Isn't it better to stay at home?

Shen Xingmian pulled her inside, handed her ID to the receptionist, and said coldly:

"One room."

Nanzhi peeked out from behind him: "Two rooms."

Shen Xingmian stared at the front desk, her expression slightly somber. "One room."

The receptionist was intimidated by his glare, so she quickly booked a room and handed the room key to Shen Xingmian.

Nanzhi: "..."

In the end, Shen Xingmian still dragged her to the hotel room.

There were two beds inside, and Nanzhi breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"Go to sleep. We'll go get married first thing tomorrow morning."

Shen Xingmian pressed Nan Zhi down on the bed and said this in a cold tone.

Nan Zhi was at a loss for words. After a long while, she looked up at Shen Xingmian and said:

“We should go home first, Shen Xingmian, why are you in such a hurry?”

Shen Xingmian walked directly to another bed, lay down, and turned her back to Nanzhi:

"I'm not in a hurry, I'm too lazy to drive back, I'll just go to sleep."

Nanzhi glanced at his back and felt that he was being hypocritical again.

After a long while, Nanzhi finally spoke with a smile:

"Shen Xingmian, you're not afraid I won't come with you tomorrow, are you?"

The man stiffened and ultimately did not respond to Nanzhi, as if he really wanted to rest.

Nan Zhi sighed silently, lay down, turned her head to look at Shen Xingmian who was just a step away from her, and a smile appeared on her lips.

"I promised you, and I won't go back on my word."

After saying this, Nanzhi closed her eyes, intending to rest.

Only after hearing Nan Zhi's even breathing did Shen Xingmian turn over, looking at Nan Zhi's sleeping face, staring at her as if afraid she would leave.

When Nan Zhi agreed to marry him, Shen Xingmian felt not only excitement and happiness, but also panic. He was afraid that one day this girl would suddenly disappear, and when he looked back, he would realize that it was all just a dream, something he couldn't hold onto or grasp.
