Chen Xuan woke up one day to suddenly find himself transformed into a black dragon, a black dragon coiled above a certain child's head...
King Xiaowen of Qin naturally knew that Meng Ao did not mean it. He was probably being suppressed from the beginning. Seeing that Xunzi did not show much respect to him, he responded loudly.
"I have been ill for quite some time. Most of the external affairs are handled by the Crown Prince, so it is not a bad idea for you to speak on my behalf." King Xiaowen of Qin looked at Xunzi calmly. He had always treated these old ministers with great courtesy, so naturally he would not become disloyal to them because of Xunzi's words.
"Your Majesty's breadth of mind is rarely heard of in the Seven Kingdoms," Xunzi said, bowing. "I have come to Qin, firstly to pay homage to the Nine Cauldrons, and secondly to visit Your Majesty and discuss the Dao with you."
"My knowledge is limited, and I fear I cannot withstand your words." Although King Xiaowen of Qin had heard of Xunzi's reputation and knew he was a man of great talent, Confucianism had always disliked the Qin State, and the Qin State was unlikely to welcome Confucian thought either. After all, it viewed Confucianism as mere fantasy.
Xunzi bowed again and said, "For a king, virtue and behavior are of paramount importance. Your Majesty's broad mind alone is enough for me to learn from."
(To be continued)
PS
This chapter is a bit long, so I'll write it as two chapters. I'll post the second half tomorrow. I really can't code anymore today.
Xunzi, also known as Xunqing, Sunqing, and Qing, was a representative figure of Confucianism in the late Warring States Period. His theory that "human nature is evil" is often compared with that of Mencius.
Xunzi did enter Qin in history, so this is not a fabrication, but there is no rough record of the time when Xunzi entered Qin, so I can only deduce and fabricate it myself.
When Xunzi met the King of Qin, he affirmed the Qin's politics and said, "The four generations of Qin have been victorious. This is fate, not luck." It is because of this sentence that I believe that Xunzi probably entered Qin when King Xiaowen of Qin was in power.
Because it is generally believed that Qin Shi Huang unified the country by the legacy of six generations, and this six generations includes Qin Xiaowen Wang (people who ascended the throne for three days are included, outrageous, right? Hhh)
According to this passage, it can be assumed that there were already four Qin kings who worked hard to strengthen the country at that time. It is generally believed that the six generations refer to Qin Xiaogong, Qin Huiwenwang, Qin Wuwang, Qin Zhaoxiangwang, Qin Xiaowenwang and Qin Zhuangxiangwang. Therefore, I believe that Xunzi entered Qin when Qin Xiaowenwang was in power.
So this plot is not very poisonous. I am not a history major, so there will be omissions. Many times, I use my subjective consciousness for things that I cannot find, so please don’t blame me.
