Chapter 11 Departure to the Star River Sect

Spring has arrived in the blink of an eye, and the Star River Sect is about to open its doors and begin accepting disciples.

Shu Lan and Qin An are also about to set off for the Star River Sect.

After years of cultivation, Shu Lan has advanced from an early-stage Nascent Soul cultivator to a late-stage Nascent Soul cultivator. And after several months of guidance from Shu Lan, Qin An has already reached the fifth level of Qi Refining.

Since Shu Lan is already a Nascent Soul cultivator, her own speed in flying on her sword is already very fast, so she does not need to use other means of transportation.

On the morning of their departure, He Rou prepared many things for Shu Lan. There were clothes, ritual implements, and many talismans...

"Mother, I don't need any of these. There's no need to prepare so much." Shu Lan watched helplessly as He Rou stuffed more and more things into her hands.

"These are all from your mother's heart, please accept them."

Unable to refuse her mother's kind offer and unwilling to disappoint her mother's good intentions, Shu Lan had no choice but to stuff all the things into her storage ring.

Qin An, who was standing to the side, had already stuffed his belongings into the storage bag his parents had prepared for him. He stood quietly beside Shu Lan.

"Is everything ready?" Shu Lan looked at Qin An, who nodded.

"Alright, let's go!" Shu Lan grabbed Qin An's small hand, summoned her flying sword, and pulled him onto it.

"Have a safe journey!" Shu Pengfei and He Rou waved to Shu Lan as she walked away into the distance.

The surrounding scenery rushed past, and the wind tousled Shu Lan and Qin An's hair, causing it to collide and entwine.

Qin An wrapped his arms around Shu Lan's waist, peeking out from one side, and together they admired the beautiful scenery.

About two hours later, a sect that looked like a fairyland gradually appeared, becoming clearer and clearer.

"We've arrived." Shu Lan patted Qin An on the shoulder and descended from the sky with him.

When Shu Lan arrived at the Star River Sect, she found a very long queue, mostly people who had come to participate in the sect's selection process. Some were about the same age as Qin An, some were the same age as Shu Lan, and some were even seventeen or eighteen years old.

Some came alone, some were accompanied by their parents, and some brought a whole entourage of servants and maids...

Shu Lan was searching for someone to take charge when he was suddenly patted on the shoulder.

"Hey, brother."

Shu Lan turned around, a subtle glint in her eyes.

"I thought I had mistaken someone for someone else. I didn't expect it to really be Brother Shu and Brother Qin." The young man in orange robes standing in front of Shu Lan was none other than Ye Feiyu, the protagonist they had encountered back then.

"Are you here to participate in the selection as well?" Ye Feiyu looked at the two of them with some curiosity.

"No, I'm looking for someone right now," Shu Lan said, while continuing to look around.

Just then, Shu Lan found his target. A disciple, clearly in charge of registration, came down from the mountain.

Shu Lan grabbed Qin An's hand and flew over in a flash.

"Hey! Brother Shu, Brother Qin, where are you going?" Ye Feiyu's voice trailed off until it could no longer be heard.

"Are you the person in charge?" Shu Lan led Qin An to the disciple.

"Are you here to participate in the selection? If you want to participate, please line up over there." Before the disciple in charge of registration could finish speaking, a token appeared in his field of vision.

Do you recognize this token?

"Ah, this, this is the token of our Grandmaster, Venerable Lieyang!" The disciple in charge of registration was shocked. "Are you the Grandmaster Uncle whom our Grandmaster asked us to wait for?"

“If you’re talking about Venerable Lieyang, then I’m his junior brother, so I should be your grandmaster.” Shu Lan tilted her head and smiled playfully.

"Greetings, Grandmaster Uncle!" The disciple in charge of registration bowed to him. "Grandmaster instructed me to wait here and report to Grandmaster upon your arrival. Please wait a moment."

The disciple in charge of registration took out a communication jade talisman, explained Shu Lan's arrival clearly inside, and then teleported away using a hand seal.

A moment later, a figure dressed in red flew out of the sect and landed in front of Shu Lan. It was none other than Venerable Lieyang.

"Junior brother." Venerable Lieyang looked at Shu Lan with a gentle gaze and a smile on his lips.

"Greetings, Senior Brother." Shu Lan bowed to Venerable Lieyang.

Venerable Lieyang nodded, then turned his gaze to Qin An, "And who is this?"

"Senior brother, this is my disciple, Qin An."

"Qin An, come here and greet your senior uncle." Shu Lan gently tugged at Qin An's sleeve.

Qin An, who was still in a daze, snapped out of it and quickly bowed to Venerable Lieyang, saying, "Greetings, Senior Uncle."

Venerable Lieyang nodded, his expression somewhat conflicted.

"Senior brother, what's wrong?" Shu Lan sensed something was amiss.

“Junior brother, I shouldn’t interfere with your decision to take on a disciple. But if this child enters the sect just like that, I’m afraid he won’t be able to win over the crowd.”

"How so?"

"The disciples who enter our Star River Sect are all talented individuals selected through a rigorous process. They have all overcome numerous challenges, and based on their performance, they are assigned to outer, inner, or personal disciples. If this child were to enter our Star River Sect without undergoing any assessment, the other disciples would likely be dissatisfied."

"so what?"

"Therefore, it would be best to let this child participate in this sect entrance examination."

"My disciple doesn't need other people's opinions. As my disciple, no one is allowed to interfere." Shu Lan was a little angry, and her tone became sharper.

"Master." At this moment, Shu Lan's sleeve was gently tugged. Shu Lan looked down and saw Qin An's bright black eyes staring intently at her.
