"Shut up, all of you!" Ning Yu suddenly roared, his voice hoarse and strained. "It's not time to give up yet! Cheer up, all of you!"
His roar acted like a shot of adrenaline, calming the desperate team members down a bit.
"Captain, what should we do? Your superpower..." A team member's voice trembled. He dared not continue, because he knew that Ning Yu's superpower had reached its limit.
"Don't panic, I'm trying to figure something out." Ning Yu endured the excruciating pain and tried to remain calm. He closed his eyes, concentrated, and attempted to sense any potential energy sources in his surroundings.
Time ticked by, and the pressure from the wall increased, making it difficult for the team members to hold on any longer.
“It’s no use, we’re all going to die here…” One of the team members collapsed to the ground in despair, giving up the fight.
“No, I can’t give up, I still have so much to do…” another team member murmured, his eyes filled with resentment.
Just then, Ning Yu suddenly sensed a faint energy fluctuation. He abruptly opened his eyes and stared intently at the wall in front of him.
“There!” He pointed to an inconspicuous corner on the wall, his tone filled with disbelief and surprise.
"What?" The team members looked in the direction Ning Yu was pointing, but saw nothing. "What's there?"
"Don't speak, give me all your energy!" Ning Yu shouted anxiously without explaining.
Although the team members didn't understand Ning Yu's meaning, they subconsciously did as he said. They transferred all their remaining energy to Ning Yu, hoping he could create a miracle.
Ning Yu felt faint energies gathering within his body. He took a deep breath, concentrated all of this energy in his right hand, and then slammed it against the corner of the wall...
On the wall, in that inconspicuous corner, a complex symbol shimmered faintly in the dim light. The symbol resembled some kind of ancient script, or some kind of mysterious totem. Ning Yu had never seen it before, yet he felt a strong, inexplicable attraction to it. As if possessed, he reached out and touched it with trembling hands.
A miracle happened.
The wall, which had been steadily pressing down, seemed to be paused by an invisible hand, and the teeth-grinding scraping sound abruptly stopped. A deathly silence fell over the surroundings, broken only by the rapid breathing of the crowd.
Ning Yu's fingers remained on the cold wall, feeling the warmth emanating from his fingertips. The symbol seemed to come alive, emitting a dazzling light that illuminated the entire space. The light gradually faded, and a crack as tall as a person appeared in the wall, revealing a deep passage before them.
"What...what is this?" The team members stared in disbelief at what was happening before their eyes.
“This is… hope.” Ning Yu withdrew his hand, letting out a long sigh of relief, his tone filled with the joy of surviving a close call and anticipation for the unknown. He turned to look at his teammates behind him, his eyes resolute. “What are you all standing there for? Come with me!”
Having said that, he stepped into the passage first. Mu Xue followed closely behind, and the team members exchanged glances before following as well. The passage was pitch black, so dark that one couldn't see their own hand in front of their face, but an inexplicable force propelled them forward, as if the end of the passage held the answer they had been searching for.
They walked for an unknown amount of time when a glimmer of light appeared ahead, growing larger and more dazzling. Once their eyes adjusted to the light, they realized they were in a vast space.
"Where...where is this?" a team member murmured, stunned by the sight before him.
A magnificent building rose from the ground, piercing the sky like a steel behemoth, exuding an aura of oppression. At the top of the building, a huge symbol emitted a dazzling light—the very same one Ning Yu had seen on the wall earlier.
“It seems we’ve found it…” Ning Yu narrowed his eyes, gazing at the building, a meaningful smile playing on his lips. “Let’s go, let’s meet this ‘Dominator’.”
