Mu Xue looked up abruptly, the blinding light almost making her unable to open her eyes. A deafening roar exploded in her ears, and the previously dormant energy devices around the building now began to operate frantically, like awakened behemoths. The dazzling light illuminated the entire night sky as if it were daytime, and an energy fluctuation even more terrifying than before rapidly condensed in the air.

"What happened?"

"Oh no! He's about to launch his final attack!"

The team members panicked. Their slightly restored strength and superpowers seemed insignificant in the face of this earth-shattering pressure. They struggled to stand up, only to find their bodies as heavy as lead.

"Ning Yu..." Mu Xue hugged Ning Yu tightly, desperately trying to wake him. His face was terribly pale, and his breathing was weak, as if he would disappear completely at any moment.

The black-robed man's maniacal laughter echoed across the empty platform, like a death knell from hell, tolling a dirge for the end times. "You think this is the end? How naive! Prepare for the final judgment!"

A sense of despair crept into everyone's hearts. They had tried their best, yet they still couldn't escape the cruel tricks of fate. Was it all going to end?

"No... I can't give up..." Mu Xue gritted her teeth. Her strength hadn't recovered yet, but she couldn't just sit and wait to die. She had to protect Ning Yu, and protect everyone!

"Hahaha... It's no use! You will all die!" The man in black robes seemed to have gone mad. He pointed to the sky, and the condensed ball of energy emitted a piercing buzzing sound, as if it was about to explode at any moment.

At this critical moment, Mu Xue suddenly felt Ning Yu's fingers twitch...

As energy gathered, the surrounding space began to distort, and a suffocating sense of oppression filled the air. The team members' movements became sluggish and difficult, as if they were stuck in a quagmire and unable to extricate themselves.

"Damn it! This energy fluctuation is too strong!" a team member said through gritted teeth, large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead. He tried to lift his weapon, but found even this simple movement incredibly difficult.

"Ning Yu, how are you?" Mu Xue asked anxiously, her voice trembling slightly. She could feel Ning Yu's breathing growing weaker and weaker, as if it might stop at any moment.

Ning Yu tried to open his eyes, but his eyelids felt as heavy as lead. He attempted to activate his supernatural abilities, but found it was all in vain. The powerful energy fluctuations not only suppressed his abilities but also interfered with his system.

"System, system! Quickly analyze the composition of this energy and find a solution!" Ning Yu anxiously called out in his mind, but the system remained unresponsive as if it had crashed.

"Damn it! Am I just going to give up like this?" Ning Yu was filled with resentment. He hadn't completed his mission yet, and he hadn't protected the people around him. How could he fall here?

"Hahaha... Give up! Your struggles are futile!" The black-robed man's maniacal laughter echoed in the distorted space, sounding particularly jarring. "Feel despair! This is what happens when you oppose me!"

Ning Yu gritted his teeth, desperately trying to muster a sliver of strength. He couldn't give up, nor could he let the others sacrifice themselves in vain. He still had so much to do; he still had to lead Mu Xue and all the survivors to rebuild their homes!

"System, I command you to immediately activate the emergency plan! Utilize all available resources!" Ning Yu roared in his mind.

However, all he received in response was deathly silence. The system seemed to have completely lost contact, offering no further response.

Despair spread like a plague among the team members. They were exhausted and knew they were as insignificant as ants in the face of this devastating energy.

“Ning Yu…” Mu Xue held Ning Yu’s hand tightly, her eyes glistening with tears, but she did not cry. She knew that now was not the time to cry; she had to face their final fate together with Ning Yu.

"Don't be afraid..." Ning Yu managed to utter two words, his voice as weak as a mosquito's buzz, yet carrying an unwavering strength, "I...won't...let...anything happen to...you..."

Before he could finish speaking, Ning Yu suddenly opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing in them, and a powerful will erupted from his body.

“Mu Xue, listen…” Ning Yu gripped Mu Xue’s hand tightly, his voice low and urgent, “I… have a way…”

"What's the solution? Tell us quickly!" The team members seemed to have grasped their last hope, anxiously looking at Ning Yu. However, before Ning Yu could speak, that suffocating sense of oppression swept over them again, even more intense than before, as if it wanted to crush them completely.

"It's too late!" Mu Xue's face turned deathly pale. She felt a powerful energy rapidly gathering within the device, and the shadow of death loomed over her. The energy device, which had been slowly rotating, suddenly accelerated, and blinding white light filled the entire space. A huge energy sphere gradually took shape, radiating an aura of world-destroying destruction.

"Boom!" The energy ball, accompanied by a deafening roar and an aura of annihilation, rolled towards them, tearing apart the very fabric of space in its path. The team members realized with despair that the energy ball was incredibly fast and had an extremely wide attack range; they had nowhere to escape.

"Fight to the death!" one of the team members roared, raising his weapon and firing a final, desperate attack at the energy sphere. The others reacted quickly, releasing their remaining energy without reservation. The multicolored light appeared tiny in front of the energy sphere, yet it carried a tragic and resolute air.
