Chapter 180 Energy Reversal, Dire Situation Deepens

A violent gust of air, like a monstrous beast awakening, ripped apart everything in its path. The team members were thrown to the ground by this sudden force, their weapons falling to the ground as they stared in horror at the uncontrollable scene before them. Dust filled the air, and debris shattered everywhere; the already precarious space seemed poised to collapse completely at any moment.

"Boss!"

Mu Xue rushed towards Ning Yu without hesitation, attempting to use her special ability to stabilize the raging energy within him. Her hands trembled, her fingertips shimmering with a pale blue light—the energy she had painstakingly gathered. However, the instant her power touched Ning Yu's chest, a powerful force rebounded, blasting her away violently.

"Sister Xue!"

The team members exclaimed in alarm and tried to rush forward to help her up, but they were blocked by the violent airflow and could only watch helplessly as Mu Xue fell heavily into the pile of rocks.

"Cough cough..."

Mu Xue struggled to her feet, a trickle of blood seeping from the corner of her mouth. Her face was pale, and her breathing was erratic, clearly indicating that she had suffered serious injuries from the backlash. But she couldn't care less about that; her gaze was fixed on Ning Yu, her eyes filled with worry and anxiety.

"Sister Xue, how are you?" a team member asked anxiously.

Mu Xue waved her hand to indicate that she was alright, then took a deep breath and gathered her supernatural power once more. This time, she did not rashly approach Ning Yu, but instead tried to use her power to guide the raging energy within him, hoping to alleviate his pain.

However, the energy within Ning Yu was simply too powerful, and Mu Xue's guidance was like throwing a stone into the sea—completely ineffective. His body continued to convulse violently, and the light from the runes grew increasingly intense, as if it were about to explode at any moment.

"No, my powers don't work on him..." Mu Xue's voice was tinged with despair.

"What can we do then? Are we just going to watch helplessly as the boss..."

Before one of the team members could finish speaking, he was interrupted by a violent tremor. The ground beneath their feet began to shake violently, rocks kept falling from above, and the entire space seemed to be collapsing.

"Oh no! This place is about to collapse! Quick..."

Before Mu Xue could finish speaking, a stone wall collapsed with a crash, completely blocking their path to the outside world.

"Boom!" A deafening roar exploded in their ears as massive chunks of concrete collapsed overhead, kicking up clouds of dust. Before anyone could react, the wall on the other side cracked with a sickening sound, followed by a shower of flying debris, before collapsing with a deafening crash. The already precarious space was rapidly compressed by the successive collapses, as if an invisible giant hand was trying to swallow them whole.

"Quick! Find an exit! We can't hold out here much longer!" Mu Xue's voice became sharp with tension. She directed the group while anxiously looking around, hoping to find a glimmer of hope.

The team members, no longer able to conceal their fear, frantically searched for a way out in the shrinking space. However, all they saw before them were collapsed rubble and billowing dust, and nothing but despair.

"Sister Xue, look over there!" A team member pointed to a seemingly unstable wall in the corner, his voice filled with hope as if he had grasped at a straw.

The wall was made of rubble of varying sizes, and faint light could be seen through the gaps, making it seem easier to breach than other places.

"Right there! Everyone, concentrate your fire on that wall!" Mu Xue made a decisive decision and gave the order.

The team members seemed to see hope again, and they all gathered their supernatural abilities, launching a fierce attack on the wall. Flames, ice spikes, lightning... all sorts of lights flickered in the small space, reflecting the anxious yet determined faces of the team members.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

The attacks rained down on the wall, sending shards of stone flying and dust billowing. Under the combined assault of the group, the wall teetered on the brink of collapse, and it looked as if a breach was about to be blasted through it.

However, at that moment, a painful roar suddenly came from Ning Yu's direction, echoing in the empty space like that of a wounded beast, causing everyone to pause in their actions...

"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue turned around abruptly and saw Ning Yu's once upright body curled up in pain, his hands tightly clutching his head, and black lines could be vaguely seen between his fingers, writhing like living things, exuding a chilling aura.

"My head...it hurts so much!" Ning Yu gritted his teeth, squeezing out a few words, his voice so hoarse that it was almost unrecognizable. The runes on his body flickered, like candle flames that could be extinguished at any moment, and with each flicker, his body trembled violently, as if he were enduring immense pain.

"Damn it! How could this happen!" Mu Xue's heart sank. She knew this was a sign of the energy backlash intensifying. If it couldn't be controlled in time, Ning Yu might be completely devoured by the raging energy!

"Don't stop! Keep attacking!" Mu Xueqiang suppressed her anxiety and shouted at her team members. The situation left them no room for hesitation; only by breaking through the wall as quickly as possible could they have a chance of survival.

Knowing the urgency of the situation, the team members gritted their teeth and unleashed their supernatural abilities to the fullest extent, unleashing a barrage of attacks on the wall like a storm. Debris flew, dust billowed, and the wall groaned under the combined assault, on the verge of being breached.

However, Ning Yu's condition was getting worse. The black markings on his body had spread to his neck, and his once clear eyes were now covered in blood red. He was like a madman, constantly letting out painful roars.
