A stench assaulted his nostrils, and the python's gaping maw was inches away. Ning Yu could even see the flesh and blood between its teeth, and its menacing fangs that exuded an aura of death. He closed his eyes in despair. Was he really going to die here?

"Ning Yu! Don't give up!" Mu Xue's shrill cry rang in Ning Yu's ears like thunder. He opened his eyes abruptly, his gaze fixed on the giant python's fatal weakness. The python's attention was now entirely on him. If Mu Xue could attack from the side, there was a chance to severely injure the python again and buy them a glimmer of hope.

"Xue'er, help me..." Ning Yu shouted hoarsely in Mu Xue's direction, using all his strength.

"Roar—!" The giant python let out a deafening roar, seemingly mocking Ning Yu's overestimation of his abilities. It suddenly swung its body, violently flinging Mu Xue, who was coiled around it, away. Mu Xue groaned, her delicate body arcing through the air before crashing heavily to the ground more than ten meters away, her fate unknown.

"Mu Xue!" Ning Yu's eyes widened in horror, but he was powerless to help. The giant python had attacked him again, its enormous shadow looming over Ning Yu, and the stench was almost suffocating him.

Ning Yu tried to dodge, but found his body as heavy as lead, unable to move at all. The previous battle with the giant python had exhausted his strength, and coupled with his previous injuries, he was now no match for an ordinary person.
