As the dust settled and the smoke dissipated, the scene before her made Mu Xue's heart skip a beat.

The once invincible python was now writhing in agony on the ground, its massive body slamming against the earth with deafening roars. Ning Yu stood not far from the python, looking somewhat weak and breathing rapidly, but the light in his hand remained unwavering.

Ning Yu gripped the shimmering power in his hand, his eyes hardening. He took a step towards the giant python, a step that, though slightly unsteady, was filled with determination.

"Roar—!" The giant python seemed somewhat wary upon seeing the light in Ning Yu's hand, but it did not retreat. Instead, it roared even more fiercely and charged towards Ning Yu. The giant python opened its blood-red maw, and a foul stench assaulted its senses. Its sharp fangs gleamed coldly, as if it would tear Ning Yu to shreds in the next second.

Ning Yu did not flinch. He stared directly into the giant python's eyes, his gaze filled with unwavering determination and resolve, devoid of any fear.

“You beast, your end is nigh…” Ning Yu’s voice was hoarse and low, yet it carried an undeniable power.

He slowly raised his hand, the light in his palm growing ever brighter, like a star about to explode. The giant python seemed to pause for a moment; its massive body trembled slightly, and a hint of unease flashed in its eyes.

But the next second, the giant python's eyes were replaced by a ferocious light. It roared and charged at Ning Yu recklessly. Its massive body was accompanied by a strong wind, as if it wanted to crush Ning Yu into dust.

"Ning Yu! Be careful!" Mu Xue, who was watching from a distance, exclaimed in alarm, her heart leaping into her throat.

Ning Yu's eyes sharpened. He took a deep breath and concentrated all his power into his palm.

"Go!" Ning Yu shouted, unleashing his power towards the giant python. A faint ray of light, like a candle flame flickering in the wind, seemingly insignificant, yet carrying Ning Yu's do-or-die determination, shot towards the giant python.

The giant python seemed wary of the beam of light. It tilted its massive head to the side, using its side covered in hard scales to block the attack. The light struck the python's scales with a soft "sizzle," leaving a shallow mark on its dark scales before disappearing without a trace.

Seeing this, Mu Xue, who had been watching with bated breath, couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. This power didn't seem as strong as she had imagined. But she quickly suppressed her disappointment, clenched her fist, and shouted encouragement, "Ning Yu, come on, you can do it!"

Ning Yu naturally saw the result of his attack, and his brows furrowed slightly. However, the giant python's defense far exceeded his expectations. It seemed that to completely defeat it, he would have to find another way.

Seeing that Ning Yu's attacks could not cause any real damage, the giant python's eyes gleamed even more fiercely. It let out a deafening roar, and its massive body charged towards Ning Yu again like an arrow released from a bow, attempting to completely crush Ning Yu with its enormous size and brute force.

"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath. He suppressed his physical exhaustion and once again mobilized the faint power within him to prepare for the giant python's attack.

However, at that moment, the giant python suddenly changed its attack method. Its massive body twisted violently, and its thick tail, like a flexible steel whip, swept towards Ning Yu with a whistling sound.

Ning Yu was startled and tried to dodge, but because he was injured in the previous fight with the giant python, his movements were slow and he had no time to dodge.

"Smack!"

With a muffled thud, Ning Yu felt as if his leg had been struck by a giant hammer, and excruciating pain instantly spread throughout his body. He groaned, and his body uncontrollably fell to the side…

"Ning Yu!"

Mu Xue's screams echoed through the empty wilderness, but they couldn't stop the impending tragedy. Ning Yu's figure magnified in Mu Xue's pupils, and her heart felt as if it were being gripped tightly by an invisible hand, making it almost impossible for her to breathe.

"Bang!" Ning Yu fell heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust. He groaned, gritted his teeth, and tried to struggle to his feet, but found that the leg that had been swept by the giant python's tail was in excruciating pain, making him unable to move.

The giant python looked down at Ning Yu, its scarlet forked tongue flickering and hissing, as if mocking his overestimation of his abilities.

"Ning Yu!" Upon seeing this, Mu Xue rushed towards Ning Yu without hesitation, wanting to help him up.

"Don't come any closer!" Ning Yu shouted, enduring the pain. "This guy's target is me, you'd better get out of here!"

Mu Xue paused, tears welling in her eyes, but she knew this wasn't the time to be stubborn. She had to trust Ning Yu, to believe he could overcome their current predicament.

The giant python wouldn't give Ning Yu a chance to catch his breath. Its massive body moved again, approaching Ning Yu who was lying on the ground, opening its blood-red maw to reveal sharp fangs, trying to swallow him whole.

"You beast, cease your arrogance!" Ning Yu roared, enduring the excruciating pain as he gathered his power once more. This time, he clearly felt that this power was several times stronger than before, as if it had been stimulated by his will.

"Go!" Ning Yu pushed the power in his hand towards the giant python again. This time, the light was no longer as weak as before, but became much brighter, like a bolt of lightning that tore through the dim sky.

The giant python seemed to sense the power of this force as well. It tilted its huge head to the side and used its side, covered with hard scales, to block once again.

"Sizzle!"
