However, the swarm of bees did not disperse immediately as Mu Xue had imagined.
They hovered in the air for a while, then regrouped and continued their attack on Ning Yu and Mu Xue.
"No, the effect of this herb doesn't seem very obvious..." Mu Xue said anxiously, rubbing the herb frantically, hoping to make the aroma stronger.
Ning Yu's body swayed precariously, and he felt his consciousness beginning to blur, but he still held on, using the last bit of strength to wave his arms and shield Mu Xue from the swarm of bees.
"Don't give up... there must be a way..." he said haltingly, his voice growing weaker and weaker.
Suddenly, the buzzing of the bees stopped, and an eerie silence fell over the surroundings.
Ning Yu and Mu Xue both felt an inexplicable sense of oppression. They looked up and were horrified to find that the swarm of bees had gathered together, forming a huge black sphere that was suspended above their heads.
“Ning Yu…” Mu Xue gripped Ning Yu’s arm tightly, her voice trembling, her eyes filled with fear.
The enormous black sphere began to spin, faster and faster, emitting a chilling buzzing sound.
Then, it suddenly swooped down towards Ning Yu and Mu Xue... "Get out of the way!"
"
"Get out of the way!" Ning Yu roared, shoving Mu Xue aside.
Almost at the same time, the huge black sphere crashed down, hitting Ning Yu where he had been standing.
Dust filled the air, obscuring the sky and the sun.
Mu Xue was pushed to the ground, staring in horror at the churning black storm.
She struggled to get up, but found that her legs were numb and she couldn't muster any strength.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue cried out in anguish, her voice drowned out by the buzzing of the bees.
She tried desperately to see what was happening in that black storm, but she couldn't see anything at all.
Fear, like a cold hand, gripped her throat tightly, making it almost impossible for her to breathe.
As the dust gradually settled, a huge crater appeared before Mu Xue's eyes.
At the edge of the pit, swarms of giant bees continued to fly around, emitting a chilling buzzing sound.
Ning Yu, however, was nowhere to be found.
"Ning Yu! Where are you?" Mu Xue cried out in despair, tears blurring her vision.
She desperately crawled into the pit, wanting to find Ning Yu, even if there was only a sliver of hope.
Suddenly, a hand reached out from the pit and gripped the soil at the edge of the pit tightly.
Mu Xue's heart skipped a beat. She immediately rushed over, grabbed the hand, and pulled it upwards with all her might.
Ning Yu struggled to crawl out of the pit. His body was covered in wounds, his clothes were tattered, and his face was covered in mud and blood.
He coughed weakly a few times, and a trickle of blood escaped from the corner of his mouth.
“You…you’re still alive…” Mu Xue hugged Ning Yu tightly, bursting into tears of joy.
Ning Yu leaned weakly against Mu Xue. His consciousness was beginning to fade, but he still struggled to stay awake.
"Hurry...hurry up..." he said intermittently, his voice so weak it was almost inaudible.
Mu Xue looked up and was horrified to find that the swarm of bees had begun to gather again, forming a new black sphere that hovered above their heads.
"No...we can't..."
"Go..." Ning Yu used the last bit of strength to push Mu Xue away.
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue cried out in terror.
Ning Yu's hand fell limply to his sides... "System..."
