The moment Ning Yu's fingers touched the barrier, an indescribable suction force suddenly pulled him back.

As soon as he channeled his supernatural power, it poured out like a flood bursting its banks, greedily devoured by a powerful force.

Cold sweat slid down Ning Yu's cheeks; he had never felt so powerless and desperate.

He knew that even if Mu Xue didn't let go, she couldn't save him; instead, she would get herself caught in the crossfire.

His hand fell limply to his side, as if it might loosen its grip on Mu Xue at any moment.

Ignoring the burning pain on her face, she continued searching for other things around her.
