Transmigrator Ning Yu relies on his special abilities and a system to survive on Earth after a nuclear war. He meets the older, alluring Mu Xue and confronts hypocritical ability organizations, ult...
As night fell, most of the people in the camp were already asleep, with only a few dim lights still flickering in the wind. Ning Yu silently rolled out of bed, and by the faint light, quickly dressed, concealing a sharp dagger in his boot. He checked the energy gun at his waist, and after confirming everything was in order, he took one last look at the sleeping Brother Wu, then resolutely pushed open the door.
A cold wind, carrying the scent of earth, swept over him. Ning Yu tightened his coat and, under the cover of night, crept towards the direction where the mysterious figure from earlier that day had disappeared. He didn't know what awaited him, but the flame of his pursuit of the truth burned ever brighter, dispelling the chill of the night.
As he walked, the scenery around him became increasingly unfamiliar, and an eerie silence filled the air, with only Ning Yu's footsteps echoing in the desolate wilderness. He became more vigilant, carefully observing the movements around him, and keenly sensed something was amiss.
"A trap!" Ning Yu thought to himself, shifting his foot to narrowly avoid an almost invisible tripwire on the ground. Before he could even catch his breath, he heard a whooshing sound as several sharp arrows shot out from the shadows, heading straight for his vitals.
Ning Yu reacted swiftly, leaning back sharply to narrowly dodge the attack. The arrow struck the tree trunk behind him with a dull thud. Ning Yu's heart skipped a beat; he knew he was surrounded. He lowered his voice and said coldly, "Come out! What kind of skill is it to hide like this!"
He was met with a chilling laugh, followed by a sinister voice that echoed from all directions: "Kid, you've got guts, daring to follow me all the way here. But since you're here, don't even think about leaving alive!"
Before he could finish speaking, several dark figures darted out of the darkness and pounced on Ning Yu… The figures were incredibly fast, giving Ning Yu almost no time to react. He rolled to dodge, his energy gun flashing a blinding blue light, repelling the leading figure. However, more dark figures followed closely, surging in from all directions, their attacks swift and ruthless, each strike potentially fatal.
Ning Yu fought and retreated, discovering that these enemies were not only agile but also seemed to possess a special ability to perfectly conceal their presence in the night. This made it difficult for him to track their movements and pinpoint their exact locations.
"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath as his arm was slashed open by the claws of a dark shadow, instantly staining his sleeve with blood. He gritted his teeth, enduring the pain, and activated his supernatural power. A powerful energy wave spread out from him, repelling the surrounding shadows.
Taking advantage of the brief respite, Ning Yu quickly swallowed a healing pill, and his wound began to heal at a visible speed. But he knew this couldn't continue; these enemies seemed endless, while his stamina and abilities were limited.
He must find that mysterious figure as soon as possible and find out the truth behind everything!
Ning Yu took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. He carefully recalled the direction in which the figure disappeared during the day, as well as the various traps and ambushes he had encountered along the way, trying to find some clues.
Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck him.
"Aura! They can hide their aura, but that doesn't mean they won't leave other traces!" Ning Yu's heart stirred. He closed his eyes, concentrated his mind, and carefully sensed the energy fluctuations around him.
Sure enough, amidst the chaotic energy fluctuations, he detected a faint, unusual aura. This aura was so subtle that it would have been completely undetectable had he not consciously sought it out.
Ning Yu was overjoyed. He opened his eyes and followed the direction of the aura.
...
After an unknown amount of time, Ning Yu arrived at the entrance of a secluded cave. The cave entrance was hidden by dense vines, and it would be difficult to discover that this place was actually a hidden paradise without careful observation.
That faint aura was coming from this cave.
Ning Yu gripped the energy gun in his hand, carefully parted the vines, and bent down to enter the cave.
The cave was pitch black, with only a faint ray of light filtering through a crack in the ceiling. By the dim light, Ning Yu could vaguely make out what appeared to be a figure deep within the cave.
"Who are you? Why are you following me?" Ning Yu asked in a low voice.
"Heh heh, I've been waiting for you for a long time..." A hoarse, aged voice echoed in the cave. "You're smarter than I thought, and more difficult to deal with than I imagined..."
"Who are you? Why did you attack me? Why did you frame me?" Ning Yu asked sharply, his tone filled with anger and confusion.
"Heh, young man, don't be in a hurry, I'll tell you slowly..." The aged voice carried a sinister smile, "You know too much, and the more you know, the more dangerous it becomes for you..."
"You..." Ning Yu wanted to ask more, but was interrupted by the other party.
"Now, let me tell you a secret..." The aged voice suddenly turned serious, "Do you think what you've seen is the truth? Do you think what you know is everything? You're wrong! All of this is just the beginning of a huge conspiracy..."
"What conspiracy?" A sense of foreboding suddenly welled up in Ning Yu's heart.
"A conspiracy powerful enough to overturn the entire world..." The aged voice grew fainter and fainter, finally fading into the darkness...
Ning Yu's heart pounded violently. He felt as if he were touching a huge secret, a secret that could change his destiny... "A conspiracy that could overturn the entire world..." This sentence kept echoing in Ning Yu's mind, like a curse that he couldn't shake off. He left the eerie cave, but it felt like he had fallen into an even deeper maze.
