Transmigrator Ning Yu relies on his special abilities and a system to survive on Earth after a nuclear war. He meets the older, alluring Mu Xue and confronts hypocritical ability organizations, ult...
"Remember, what we need to do is turn their plans against them and catch them off guard!" Ning Yu's voice echoed in the empty corridor, carrying a chilling aura.
He divided his team into four groups, led by Li Mo, Zhang Qiang, Zhao Hu, and Wang Wei respectively, and had them lie in ambush at different locations in the underground passage. The passage was a maze of interconnected paths and numerous forks, making it an ideal location for an ambush. Ning Yu positioned his group at a high point in the passage, where they had a clear view of the enemy's movements.
"Remember, do not act rashly without my order," Ning Yu concluded, his sharp gaze sweeping over everyone.
The team members held their breath, each lurking in the darkness, waiting for their prey to walk right into their trap. A tense atmosphere filled the air; everyone's nerves were taut.
Time passed slowly, and the passage remained quiet, with only the faint sound of enemy vehicle engines in the distance.
"They're here!" Ning Yu thought to himself, gripping his assault rifle tightly.
Sure enough, not long after, a squad of soldiers from the "Sky Curtain" organization appeared at the entrance to the passage. They were dressed in black combat uniforms, carrying laser weapons, and looking around warily, clearly unaware of the danger that was about to befall them.
"Da da da..."
A burst of rapid gunfire shattered the tranquility of the passage. Li Mo's squad opened fire first, a hail of bullets raining down on the enemy's vanguard.
"There's an ambush!"
The surviving enemies panicked and tried to find cover to fight back, but the narrow passage restricted their movement and they were quickly wiped out.
Ning Yu did not order a pursuit. He knew that this was just the enemy's vanguard, and the real battle had only just begun.
A burst of gunfire erupted from deep within the passage, clearly indicating that Zhang Qiang and his men were also engaged in combat with the enemy.
"It seems the 'Sky Curtain' organization has more people than we imagined..." Ning Yu said in a low voice, a cold smile appearing on his lips. "Very well, let me see just how many of you can fill this bottomless pit!"
He stood up abruptly and roared into the communicator, "Attention everyone, prepare for battle!"
The dense gunfire echoed through the empty corridor, flashes of light filled the air, and smoke billowed. Contrary to Ning Yu's expectations, the enemy, upon realizing they had been ambushed, did not panic; instead, they displayed remarkable combat prowess.
"Spread out and attack! Encircle them!"
The enemy commander's roar came from deep within the passage, clearly indicating that he had anticipated Ning Yu and his group occupying advantageous terrain.
The soldiers of the "Sky Curtain" organization were well-trained and quickly dispersed, using the terrain for cover as they approached Ning Yu and his group. They outnumbered them and had fierce firepower, and Ning Yu's squad gradually felt the pressure mounting.
"Captain, the enemy's firepower is too strong, the brothers can't hold on much longer!" Li Mo's voice came through the communicator, tinged with anxiety.
"Stay calm! Don't panic!" Ning Yu calmly commanded. "Zhao Hu, you take two men and flank from the left. Wang Wei, you take some men to support Li Mo on the right. Zhang Qiang, you and I stay here and draw enemy fire!"
"Yes!" the team members responded in unison, their voices filled with trust in Ning Yu.
The fierce battle lasted for nearly an hour, with both sides suffering heavy losses. Ning Yu's squad used the terrain to their advantage to launch continuous surprise attacks on the enemy, but the soldiers of the "Sky Curtain" organization were not to be underestimated. They used their numerical advantage to gradually close in on Ning Yu and his group.
A burst of bullets whizzed past Ning Yu's ear and struck the wall behind him, sending shards of stone flying.
Ning Yu was startled and turned around abruptly. He saw a soldier from the "Sky Curtain" organization rushing out from around a corner, holding a laser gun.
"Go to hell!"
The soldier grinned maliciously and pulled the trigger, a blinding laser beam heading straight for Ning Yu's face.
"careful!"
At the critical moment, Zhang Qiang pounced and tackled Ning Yu to the ground. The laser beam grazed Ning Yu's scalp and left a charred mark on the wall.
"Thanks!" Ning Yu said, still shaken.
"It's alright, I'm glad you're alright." Zhang Qiang shook his head, picked up the assault rifle on the ground, and pulled the trigger at the soldier.
A barrage of bullets riddled the soldier with holes.
Ning Yu got up from the ground, dusted himself off, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
“Zhang Qiang, have you noticed that although these guys are good at individual combat, their teamwork in this confined space is not very smooth?” Ning Yu said in a deep voice.
Zhang Qiang was slightly taken aback, then realized what he meant and nodded, saying, "You're right. Their formation is very scattered, and they lack cover for each other, making them easy targets for us to pick off one by one."
Ning Yu's lips curled up slightly, revealing a cold smile: "Since that's the case, then let's concentrate our firepower and attack this weakness of theirs!"
He jumped to his feet and yelled into the communicator, "Attention everyone! Abandon defense and launch a full-scale attack! Strike their weak points! Don't linger! Finish them quickly!"
"Understood!" the team members replied in unison, their voices filled with murderous intent.
...
"Damn it! How did they suddenly become so fierce?!" A squad leader from the "Sky Curtain" organization stared in disbelief at the scene before him. They, who had initially held the advantage, had been forced into a retreat in just a few minutes.
"Captain, what should we do now?"
Another soldier asked in a panic.
"What do we do? How should I know what to do?!" the squad leader roared. Suddenly, as if realizing something, his expression changed drastically, and he looked into the depths of the passage in terror. "Damn it, we've fallen for a trap! Retreat..."
