Jiang Ersao never expected that Gu An'an would return with several children before she even set off.

"Really?"

"It's true, I saw it with my own eyes, Third Aunt brought those little beasts back."

Jiang Ersao slapped her son on the back of the head. "What 'third aunt' or 'fourth aunt'? You haven't even had a wedding ceremony, what kind of husband and wife are you? I think you've been scared out of your wits by that slut."

Jiang Xiaofei was suddenly hit and immediately became unhappy, "Why did you hit me?"

You dare to talk back?

How could someone as intelligent as myself have given birth to such a son who doesn't know how to read people's expressions?

Just as Jiang Ersao was about to speak, she saw her husband come out of the house, but she didn't see Jiang Yong'an.

"Where is my third brother?"

Jiang Lao Er felt dizzy; drinking too much alcohol really made him feel unwell. "He went up the mountain early this morning, saying he was going to hunt and get some wild game to try."

You went up the mountain? Oh, you weren't home.

Jiang Ersao was surprised and quickly rubbed her son's head, saying, "Your third uncle is home, don't talk nonsense."

Jiang Xiaofei felt wronged, but he didn't forget his travel expenses. "Give me the money."

"I really..." Jiang Ersao wanted to hit someone, but when she thought that her son was the only male in the Jiang family, she withdrew her hand. "Alright, alright, you go over there and see. Come back and tell me immediately if you have any news."

Gu An'an's sudden return must mean she was prepared; I can't underestimate her.

Jiang Xiaofei clutched the money and hurried outside, but not long after, the little boy returned.

Jiang Ersao frowned upon seeing this. "What's wrong?"

"She, she's here!"

"Who's there? Your third uncle is back?"

Jiang Xiaofei shook his head repeatedly, "No, Gu An'an, Gu An'an is here."

Gu An'an's sudden appearance left Jiang Ersao a little bewildered. "Why is she here now? Go find her third uncle."

If this woman really throws a tantrum, who can control her?

Besides, if Jiang Yong'an doesn't see Gu An'an's shrewish side, wouldn't she have wasted her money on the wine?

Jiang Lao Er didn't want to go out; unlike Lao San, he wasn't all muscle and it would be too tiring to go up the mountain.

After a moment's hesitation, Jiang Lao Er was blocked at the door.

"Where are you going, Second Brother?"

Before Jiang Lao Er could even speak, Jiang Er Sao started scolding, "Who are you calling 'Second Brother'? Don't try to get close to me here."

Gu An'an laughed upon hearing this. "It seems Second Sister-in-law has been saying a lot of bad things about me these past few days. Let me guess." Gu An'an tilted her head and looked at Second Sister-in-law Jiang. "Could it be that Second Sister-in-law told Jiang Yong'an that I'm just a maid you bought?"

Jiang Ersao's heart pounded when her thoughts were suddenly guessed, and she was at a loss for words.

Actually, this lie could be easily exposed with a little effort, but she was just making a bet that Jiang Yong'an trusted his own mother and brothers, but not outsiders.

So far, Jiang Yong'an has no idea that although he is not at home, he has gained a wife.

As for the villagers, with the old clan chief present, they wouldn't say much. After all, they were all members of the Jiang family, so how could they possibly side with outsiders?

But Gu An'an saw through their lies immediately. Who wouldn't be nervous?

"That's a good idea. It seems I don't need to hire someone to write a divorce agreement."

Hearing this, Jiang Mingzhu behind her had anger in her almond-shaped eyes. "Mother, don't listen to that stinking old woman's nonsense. You will always be our mother."

Jiang Mingzhu never expected that her second aunt would lie through her teeth.

This is outrageous!

"It's alright." Gu An'an soothed the angry girl, then looked at Jiang Ersao. "Where is Jiang Yong'an? I need to talk to him."

"Who do you think you are, Gu An'an? Don't be so smug. And Zhu'er and Ming Yi, you're all confused. This woman didn't take good care of you before and even beat and scolded you at will. Have you all forgotten? How come Mingxu's leg is limping? Wasn't it because she broke his leg? This woman is unwilling to spend money and won't even call a doctor for him. And Zhu'er, you've never had a new piece of clothing since you were little. Don't you know why? Bao'er was just a little greedy, but she was thrown outside in the freezing cold and almost froze to death. The younger ones don't remember these things, but Ming Yi and Zhu'er, have you forgotten them too?"

Jiang Ersao said with a heavy heart, "My good children, I know it's not easy for you to make a living under this woman, but your father is back. From now on, he will support you, and you will no longer have to worry or be afraid."

Jiang Mingzhu snorted when she heard this; she had no intention of paying any attention to this second aunt.

Jiang Mingyi, however, slowly replied upon hearing this, "I haven't forgotten."

These words startled Jiang Mingzhu, and Gu An'an was also somewhat taken aback.

Neither of them expected Jiang Mingyi to say that.

"Brother..."

"Zhu'er, come here." The boy beckoned, and he stood there, an arm's length away from Gu An'an.

Yet the Chu River and Han border are clearly defined.

Jiang Mingzhu froze. So, her brother had actually been biding his time all this time? Waiting for their father to return?

For a moment, the girl's expression was filled with confusion and bewilderment.

Seeing this, Jiang Ersao laughed, "That's right, a gentleman takes revenge even after ten years. Before, you siblings didn't have your parents to rely on, and you accidentally walked into the tiger's den. Now that your father is back, you don't need to be afraid of this woman anymore. Gu An'an, you've finally met your match. When you abused these children in every way, did you ever think that doing so would be against your conscience?"

Jiang Ersao's heartbroken expression made Gu An'an laugh. "I did do some wrong things before." Her gaze fell on Jiang Mingyi. "So, Mingyi, you've been so obedient to me all this time just to lie low and wait for the right opportunity to deal with me?"
