The female protagonist transmigrated into a novel she wrote herself, playing the role of a vixenish supporting character. In the book, she caused trouble until her death on the streets, and her act...
After finishing her meal, Lin Wanwan prepared to go to the hospital with Xu Zhang. Lu Feng wanted to go with her, but Xu Zhang chased him away.
"You three can chat, don't follow us. Weren't we going to play chess? Bai Ying and I are here."
Bai Ying and Lin Wanwan each took Xu Zhang's arm. When they went out and met people who greeted them, Xu Zhang smiled and said he was out for a walk with his two daughters, completely losing his former seriousness.
The snow was thick on the road, making it difficult for Lin Wanwan to walk. "I don't seem to be feeling well lately, and I get tired very easily."
They sat in Xu Zhang's office to rest, and Xu Zhang told them to take a break while he went to arrange the inspection.
A little while later, a nurse ran over and said, "Comrade Lin, I'm here to draw your blood."
"Is it here?" Lin Wanwan asked, somewhat surprised.
The nurse nodded. "Yes, Director Xu said you were tired, so I came over."
Lin Wanwan quickly expressed her gratitude, "Thank you, thank you for making this trip."
The nurse smiled and didn't say anything. She quickly drew several vials of blood. "Comrade Lin, I'll be going now."
Lin Wanwan stood up and saw her to the door, saying, "Thank you, you've gone to so much trouble."
Sitting back on the small sofa, she whispered to Bai Ying, "What on earth is Mom up to? I'm fine."
Lin Wanwan thought about recent events and vaguely guessed what was going on. "No way, it can't be that coincidental."
"What?" Bai Ying didn't hear clearly.
Lin Wanwan recalled that last month, after she handed over her work, she only needed to focus on training and supervision every day, and then she had some free time.
Seeing that she wasn't busy, Lu Feng tried all sorts of ways to pester her at night. One night, things got a little too intense, and his little umbrella fell off because it wasn't properly secured.
"I can't be that unlucky, can I?" Thinking of what happened that night, Lin Wanwan's face instantly turned red.
Seeing her like this, Bai Ying thought she was really unwell and quickly touched her forehead, "Are you alright? Why is your face so red? Do you have a fever?"
Lin Wanwan blushed and said, "It's okay, let's go find Mom."
The two had just stepped out of the office when they saw Xu Zhang approaching.
Lin Wanwan stepped forward, blushing, and asked her, "Mom, you don't think I'm pregnant, do you?"
Xu Zhang found her reaction amusing. "You've finally realized it?"
Lin Wanwan nodded, her face flushed, whether from shyness or something else was unclear.
"Go inside and sit for a while. The test results won't be available so soon."
"That can't be right, we both took precautions," Lin Wanwan whispered.
Bai Ying blushed as she realized what was happening, then said with a hint of happiness, "Wanwan, you're pregnant?"
"No, don't talk nonsense."
Xu Zhang looked at them with amusement. "It's not certain yet, and the measures aren't necessarily completely safe. With your recent condition, I always feel like you might be pregnant. It would be better to get checked out to put your mind at ease."
Xu Zhang glanced at her face and asked, "What are you and Lu Feng thinking? If you get pregnant, what are your plans?"
“Lu Feng and I never planned to have children. Tuanzi is so young. I originally planned to wait until he was three or four years old before having children.”
"So, if the test shows you are indeed pregnant, what are your plans?"
Lin Wanwan thought for a moment, "If we really have a child, then let's keep it. Although it's not in our plans, we can't be heartless and abandon it. Anyway, I'm going to give birth to it."
Xu Zhang smiled and said, "I thought you didn't want it."
“I don’t want it, but if I do get pregnant, I want to give birth to him.”
Despite saying that, Lin Wanwan was still very scared. In her previous life, she had seen pregnant women with stretch marks and the pain of childbirth.
Lin Wanwan shivered, feeling a strange sense of unease as she recalled the stretch marks on the bellies she had seen online in her previous life, and her stomach churned.
Xu Zhang noticed that her complexion was off and was about to ask her if she was feeling unwell.
Lin Wanwan stood up, her face pale, and ran towards the door.
Lin Wanwan covered her mouth and ran to the toilet, where she began to dry heave. Her face turned bright red, but she couldn't vomit. Her stomach was churning violently, and Lin Wanwan leaned against the door frame, continuing to dry heave.
Xu Zhang ran over and gently patted her back, saying softly, "It's okay, just throw up if you feel like it, you'll feel better after you do."
As soon as she finished speaking, Lin Wanwan squatted down and vomited repeatedly. After vomiting, she felt much better and stood up with a pale face.
Xu Zhang handed her a damp handkerchief. "Wipe your hands. Are you still feeling unwell?"
Lin Wanwan shook her head. "I want to rinse my mouth."
"I'll get you some hot water to rinse your mouth when we get back to the office. Let's go."
Seeing her pale face, Xu Zhang comforted her, "Don't be afraid, your grandma and I are here. What are you afraid of? Your grandma is so capable, how could the two of us not take good care of you?"
Lin Wanwan sat on the small sofa, reached out and hugged her waist, and choked out, "Mom, will I become ugly if I get pregnant? Is childbirth very painful? I don't want to become ugly, and I'm even more afraid of pain."
Xu Zhang patted her back, "Don't be afraid, we're here. If you're scared, we won't have the child, okay?"
Lin Wanwan nodded. She didn't know whether she wanted to or not; she was just terrified of having children.
Leaning on the sofa armrest, Lin Wanwan felt a little weak. Xu Zhang called Lu Feng to come and keep her company. Lu Feng was worried and kept asking Lin Wanwan if something was wrong.
Xu Zhang said he was fine and only asked him to keep Lin Wanwan company.
A moment later, the nurse knocked on the door. "Dean Xu, the report is out."
Xu Zhang held the report, looking worried. She was indeed pregnant, almost eight weeks along.
"Mom, how are you?"
Xu Zhang sat down next to her and said softly, "You are pregnant, eight weeks along. Don't be afraid. If you don't want the baby, just tell Lu Feng. No one can force you to have it, not even your husband."
