Xiao Jinghan looked at Luo Lingyue anxiously looking for her two maids, and couldn't help feeling pity in his heart.

Linglong leaned close to Luo Lingyue's ear and whispered carefully, "Girls in Luoxia Town who turn sixteen mysteriously disappear on the day of the annual river lantern festival. The old woman said that these girls are actually taken away by the river god as brides!"

Luo Lingyue frowned slightly and said softly, "Let's go back to the inn first!" Then she turned around and led everyone back to the inn.

When they returned to the inn, they saw Luo Lingfeng stumbling in, his face flushed, holding three lotus lanterns. He reeked strongly of alcohol and was clearly quite tipsy.

However, before Luo Lingyue could finish her words, several dull noises suddenly came from outside the house, as if someone had fallen to the ground.
