After resting his head on the table for a while, Ye Jingchen drifted off to sleep again.

But it felt like he had only slept for a short while before Xie Chang'an woke him up.

He didn't really want to talk to Xie Chang'an, and washed up with a pained expression on his face.

"Was this your doing?" he asked, pointing to his lips.

"Shut up!" Ye Jingchen snapped, unable to contain himself any longer.

Is this an apology?

This is clearly a disguised confession!

"I was so tired that I fell asleep while soaking my feet. My face hit the table, and I hit my mouth," Ye Jingchen said expressionlessly.

Xie Chang'an understood Ye Jingchen's meaning and was somewhat pleased.
