Chapter 2 Gu Heng

Even though it was already night, the airport was still bustling with people. Compared to other passengers who were all in a hurry to leave, the man who had been standing in the corner for a long time was quite conspicuous.

He was dressed in a suit and had long legs, so people couldn't help but take a second look at him. However, his demeanor was too cold and aloof, so passersby only dared to glance at him once.

Assistant Yin An remained quietly behind the man. He glanced at the man's back and then at the watch on his wrist, wondering how much longer the man would stand there.

Finally, the man made a move.

He stepped forward and moved the potted plant in the corner a little to the side. Then he glanced at the other potted plant and asked in a cool voice, "Is it aligned now?"

Assistant Yin snapped out of his daze, looked at the potted plants on both sides, and said, "They're aligned."

The man relaxed slightly, then turned and walked towards the door.

Assistant Yin followed behind, mentally ranting again about how her boss had obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Their car was waiting outside the airport. After getting in, Assistant Yin said to the driver, "Go back to the Gu family."

After a long day on a plane, even if his boss were made of iron, he would need a good rest.

Assistant Yin glanced at the person sitting in the back.

The man always appeared dignified, composed, and self-possessed. Even after being busy for a long time and finally returning to the country, he simply leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes to rest, and maintained his proper demeanor. No matter the time, no one could find fault with him.

Assistant Yin said, "The second young master was racing with his friends and almost got into a car accident. The old master said he wanted to freeze all of the second young master's bank cards, but Madam Gu seems to disagree."

Gu Jue is the youngest son of the Gu family, and he is especially doted on by his mother. Whenever his grandfather and father want to discipline this good-for-nothing child, Gu Jue's mother always protects him.

Assistant Yin glanced at Gu Heng again.

He didn't respond, not even opening his eyes, seemingly unsurprised by the situation.

That's natural. Gu Heng couldn't possibly be unaware of Gu Jue's personality, and he was also well aware of how much his mother doted on Gu Jue.

Assistant Yin flipped through the memo and said, "The second young master got engaged to the eldest daughter of the Chu family a month ago, and I have already sent a gift in Mr. Gu's name."
