Chapter 157 The Rice is Ripe (2/2)

To go to Jiang Kingdom, they had to pass through Mobei, so they accidentally met the emperor and Prime Minister Wan.

The emperor quickly said to them, "Do you have any water? Give us some."

Mr. Xu from the caravan looked at them and then took out a small water bag and threw it to them. "Who are you? Why are you here?"

The emperor quickly said: "I am the emperor!"

Old Master Xu sneered and said, "What emperor or no emperor? I think you are just disaster victims. Drink the water and get out of the way."

After he finished speaking, he led the camel team forward.

Prime Minister Wan stopped them and said, "Sir, can you take us on the journey?"

Seeing that his attitude had improved a lot, Old Master Xu softened his tone and said, "You can go with us, but we don't support idle people. If you want food and water, you can be our slave."

"Be a slave?!" the emperor exclaimed in surprise.

He is the king of a country, but now he has to be a slave. "No."

Mr. Xu sneered and said, "If you don't want to, just get out of the way. We have to continue on our way."

After hearing this, Prime Minister Wan didn't care about anything else and stepped forward to stop them. "Master, we promise to be your slaves!"

The emperor was displeased when he heard this. "No, absolutely not."

Prime Minister Wan hurriedly whispered beside him, "Your Majesty, be flexible and stay alive first, and then go find the Third Prince and the others later."

The emperor still refused.

Prime Minister Wan quickly said sternly: "Do you still want revenge?"

The emperor raised his eyes and said, "Yes! Of course I do."

Prime Minister Wan whispered, "Then just listen to me."

After hearing this, the emperor fell into deep thought.

Mr. Xu urged, "Have you thought it through? If not, get out of the way quickly, or it will be hard to get going when it gets dark."

The emperor gritted his teeth, clenched his fists, and helplessly said, "Okay, I... I will be your slave."

Master Xu happened to be short of manpower, so he asked his servants to throw two large sacks to the Emperor and Prime Minister Wan, and then asked them to carry the sacks and follow behind him on the journey.

In order to prevent them from starving to death, each of them was given a piece of bread before they set off.

The cake was made of that kind of whole wheat, and was dry and hard.

But the emperor and Prime Minister Wan were very hungry and still ate with relish.

When Mr. Xu saw that it was almost time, he began to call on everyone to continue on their way.

Only ten kilometers away from them is Zi'an City.

Inside the city, Chu Chenyin led everyone in the city to harvest rice.

Everyone hadn't seen so much golden rice for a long time. They walked forward in disbelief and gently touched it with their hands.

"I never thought that we would be able to see rice again in this lifetime."

The two villagers hugged each other and cried. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
