Agent Couple: We Really Don"t Want to Kill

In his youth, he was trained as a secret agent by the Military Statistics Bureau, then lay dormant on the mainland for over twenty years.

In her youth, she was recruited as a spy by the Plum ...

Chapter 102 I Can No Longer Love You

That was an innocent era.

Su Xiaowei deeply loves Qiuyang.

They made vows of eternal love, promising to stay together through thick and thin, no matter what difficulties they encounter in this life.

But after only a few months of dating, Qiu Yang wants to break up with her?!

She even regretted telling Qiu Yang that Qiu Jingwen had been taken away.

"Xiaowei, I'm sorry! I can't love you anymore!"

The autumn sun's voice was filled with sorrow.

He gently pushed Su Xiaowei away again.

He really wanted to tell Su Xiaowei that her father was a Kuomintang agent and that he was the murderer of Liu Han, so that she would give up on him completely.

As far as Qiu Yang was concerned, although Su Xiaowei's father was under investigation, that was still an internal conflict among the people. However, once his father Qiu Jingwen's identity as a spy was exposed, he would be an enemy agent, and he might be suppressed and executed immediately. Moreover, his father was also carrying a murder case on his hands. Although the deceased was a spy, he should be punished by law, and it was not up to his father Qiu Jingwen to kill him.

Holding the wrench, Qiu Yang left in a hurry without saying anything more to Su Xiaowei.

The fact that his father was taken away in a police jeep already speaks volumes. No matter how much he liked or loved Su Xiaowei, this relationship was destined to be short-lived and doomed to fail.

Watching her boyfriend's departing figure, Su Xiaowei's shoulders trembled, and tears fell like broken pearls.

Back indoors, Qiu Yang put the wrench in the toolbox and then walked over to a red telephone.

He calmed down for a moment, then picked up the phone.

He dialed two numbers, then put the phone down.

Qiu Yang originally wanted to call his mother at the infirmary to tell her that his father had been taken away by the police.

However, he felt it was inappropriate to make such a call in the workshop, and that it would be better to ride his bike to the clinic instead.

Thinking of all this, Qiu Yang greeted the section chief and then rode his bicycle to the infirmary.

To Qiu Yang's disbelief, when he told his mother that his father had been taken away, she looked at him and said casually:

"Qiuyang, Mom knows about this. Let's talk about it when we get home. Don't be sad. What's meant to happen will happen. No matter how big the problem is, we'll face it as a family."

Jiang Yuping spoke calmly, as if she were telling someone else's story.

Qiu Yang was surprised by her mother's calmness and composure, and it took her a long time to speak slowly:

"Mom, aren't you worried? Dad has been taken away, and he might never come back."

As Qiu Yang spoke, his voice was hoarse, and his eyes were brimming with tears.

Jiang Yuping seemed unmoved, calmly gazing at her son.

"Qiuyang, now that your father has told you everything, what's the use of us being anxious? This was an outcome we could have foreseen. What can we change? Can we win your father back?"

Before Qiu Yang could respond, Jiang Yuping lowered her voice and continued:

“Son, don’t tell your sister Qiuyue and the others about your father being taken away for now, and especially don’t let Qiushou and Qiuchan know. I’m afraid they can’t handle this blow.”

Qiu Yang responded and looked at his calm and composed mother. He seemed to see the word "estranged" in his mother's face.

Just then, Wei Hong pushed open the door and walked in.

As she looked at Qiu Yang's red eyes and then at her best friend Jiang Yuping, she felt very strange.

"Yuping, what's wrong with you two? Your eyes are so red, like you've been sprayed with pepper spray!"

Jiang Yuping looked at Wei Hong and said almost expressionlessly:

"Wei Hong, I need to talk to my son about some family matters. Could you please go out for a walk first? Would you mind?"

Wei Hong wasn't angry. The mother and son were having a heart-to-heart talk about family matters, so it was inappropriate for her to stand in front of them.

Moreover, she had a vague feeling that something big must have happened to the Qiu family, and that it was related to the murdered Liu Xianghai. Otherwise, the police officers wouldn't have talked to Jiang Yuping several times and asked Wei Hong about some things.

"Alright, alright, I'll go out for a walk. You two can have a good talk."

Wei Hong agreed, turned and left, closing the office door behind her.

Jiang Yuping didn't talk to her son anymore. She told him not to be too sad, to work hard, and to wait and accept whatever the outcome might be.

Qiu Yang hummed in agreement, then silently left.

Qiu Yang, who was already twenty-two years old, naturally understood what kind of blow his mother would suffer after learning that his father had been taken away.

Although he couldn't understand why his mother could remain so calm, he didn't want to tell her any more bad news.

Watching her son's departing figure, Jiang Yuping could no longer suppress her grief, and tears streamed down her face.

In fact, from the moment she returned to the infirmary from the guesthouse until now, Qiu Jingwen's words had echoed in her ears countless times. The intelligent Jiang Yuping seemed to understand her husband's intentions. Her husband wanted to distance himself from her, Jiang Yuping, from the murder of Liu Han. He was taking the blame for the murder on her behalf.

"What have I done to deserve this? Why are you doing this to me?"

Jiang Yuping asked her husband in her heart.

She suddenly remembered what her husband had whispered in her ear, so she raised her wrist to check the time.

Jiang Yuping suddenly felt that time was passing too slowly.

She longed to go home right now and read the letters her husband had left her.

Seeing Qiu Yang leave, Wei Hong quickly returned to her office.
