Chapter 141 Kidnapping Case

Qiu Jingwen lost control for a few seconds, but quickly calmed down.

His first thought was that Qiushou had been kidnapped by Butterfly's men. Based on his own judgment, Butterfly should be around the same age as Zhou Hailin. It wouldn't be easy for one person to take Qiushou away, and with a child on a motorcycle, it couldn't have been done by one person alone.

"Yu Ping, don't panic, tell me what happened?"

Qiu Jingwen picked up the microphone that had slipped from his ear and asked.

“I don’t know the specifics. Qiu Shui said that Qiu Chan told her to stop asking for now. I’ve already called Liang Damin. Shouldn’t you ask Shao Jian for help? It must have been Butterfly who sent people to do it.”

"Yu Ping, there's no use in being anxious. I'll report the situation to Shao Jian right away."

Qiu Jingwen immediately hung up the phone and dialed the number Shao Jian had given him, but an older voice answered the other end: "Who is this? Our Director Shao is in a meeting. If there is anything special, I can pass it on."

"My name is Qiu Jingwen. I have something important to discuss with Leader Shao Jian."

Qiu Jingwen left with a single sentence and immediately hung up the phone.

The leaders are in a meeting, and it will take some time before they can call me over. Besides, Shao Jian is in Jianghuai City, and his motorcycle should still be around the Hongqi Factory area, at least not outside Yushan Township and nearby villages.

Just as Qiu Jingwen hung up the phone, another call came in. It was Liang Damin calling. He told Qiu Jingwen that he had contacted the Yushan Township Police Station and the County Public Security Bureau. They had all sent people down to check all the motorcycles along the way, and were trying to bring the murderer who kidnapped Qiu Jingwen to justice as soon as possible. Liang Damin also comforted Qiu Jingwen, saying, "With the county and township public security bureaus working together, along with dozens of security personnel from our Hongqi Factory, finding the motorcycle should be a quick matter."

"Old Liang, the key area is Yushan Township. If you're not too busy, drive your Jeep and come with me."

Liang Damin immediately agreed and told Qiu Jingwen to wait for him in front of the office. A few minutes later, Liang Damin, with a young driver, parked a jeep in front of the door. Qiu Jingwen jumped into the jeep, and as it drove out of the factory area, several motorcycles dispatched by the security department were already speeding along the road ahead.

"Old Qiu, don't be nervous. The kidnappers either want money or have other motives. They definitely won't do anything to Qiu Shou."

Liang Damin used the word "kidnapping" because he got the information from Jiang Yuping. Qiu Shui told his mother that two people kidnapped his younger brother. One of them suddenly put a sack over Qiu Shui's head and body, and then dragged him onto a motorcycle and drove away while he was struggling. At that time, they were on their way home from school. After the screams of the students subsided, the motorcycle had already left the factory area and quickly disappeared from sight.

News of Qiu Shou's kidnapping spread quickly throughout the Hongqi Factory. Jiang Yuping didn't know what to do. She called Qiu Jingwen again, but found that her husband's phone was not answered. Her best friend comforted her, saying that Qiu Shou was a lucky person and that the Jiang family were good people and that God would protect them.

As the Jeep drove out of the Hongqi Factory area, on the way to Yushan Township, a large group of people blocked a section of gravel road, making it impossible for vehicles to pass. When the Jeep approached, two motorcycles and a Jeep from the local police station also arrived at the scene. Qiu Jingwen's heart tightened, seemingly realizing that it was related to his son's autumn harvest.

Sure enough, when he jumped out of the car and quickly passed through the crowd, he saw a burlap sack lying in the grass by the roadside, and the sack was still wriggling.

"Thank God!"

Qiu Jingwen could only utter four words.

Without a doubt, the kidnappers dumped Qiu Shou by the roadside; they didn't intend to kill him, or perhaps they hadn't had time to deal with him yet.

Upon reaching the sack, Qiu Jingwen knelt down, untied the tightly sealed sack, and pulled his son out. With Liang Damin's help, he peeled the sack off his body.

At this moment, Qiu Shou's eyes were brimming with tears, his mouth was stuffed with a cloth, and blood was flowing from his forehead.

When Qiu Jingwen, with tears in his eyes, tore a piece of cloth out of his son's mouth, Qiu Shou burst into tears, threw himself into Qiu Jingwen's arms, and cried out, "Dad!"

Qiu Jingwen kissed his son's face and comforted him, "Son, it's okay, it's okay. Dad's here. Let's go back to the factory."

Qiu Jingwen carried his son into the jeep. Instead of going home, they went straight back to the infirmary. He wanted Jiang Yuping to check if his son was injured anywhere.

When Jiang Yuping saw Qiu Shou in her husband's arms, tears streamed down her face. The family of three embraced each other, a truly moving scene. Many onlookers whispered among themselves, wondering what had happened, why Qiu's son had been kidnapped in broad daylight, and whether the kidnappers had been caught.

"Yuping, hurry up and check your son to see if he's injured anywhere."

Jiang Yuping responded and had her husband carry their son to the examination room. After a thorough examination, they found that her son was unharmed, except for a small scrape on the top of his head with a little blood. As a doctor, Jiang Yuping knew that her son had no physical injuries, but the psychological trauma would require time for comfort and guidance. A child in his teens who had been kidnapped on his way home from school must have been filled with fear.

After quickly applying some disinfectant, Qiu Jingwen took Qiu Shou to his office. Seeing that Qiu Shou was unharmed, the other onlookers dispersed. Qiu Jingwen then called home from his wife's office to tell Qiu Shui and Qiu Chan the good news that Qiu Shou was safe and sound. Qiu Shui, sobbing, asked, "Dad, was my little brother kidnapped by the spies?"

Qiu Jingwen couldn't answer his daughter's question for a moment. After thinking for a while, he said to Qiu Shui, "The county public security bureau and the local police station are going to arrest the murderer. I believe we will know the truth in time. You and Qiu Chan should stay at home and not go anywhere. Don't open the door if someone knocks."
